Foxy - SWMNBN?! actually my yoga teacher of all people said they did SWMNBN with his second son. Was pretty surprised as it doesn't seem like a v yoga teacher-ish thing to do IYSWIM?

Just got a book today on yoga for pg, birth and beyond...there is a move in it for relieving HB, I can try to describe it if anyone is still suffering?

derlor · 17/04/2007 20:56

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 20:58

foxybrown · 17/04/2007 21:02

shhhhhh!

don't report me lovely ladies

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:03

I get it now...

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 21:05

Have ordered that book from library - just out of curiosity. Will I be banned from MN?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 17/04/2007 21:06

I've just ordered the SWMNBM book on Amazon! I've heard good things about it and as my name suggests I need all the instructions I can get!

foxybrown · 17/04/2007 21:06

YES! And you will be sentenced to a life of hard labour. Oh hang on a minute, thats what we're all doing with these babies

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 21:09

SWMNBM!! Foxy, I'm shocked!!!! I tried it for about a day and nearly died, then I threw the bloody book out the window! I'm not a very organised person and I was always behind. You either have to do it properly or not at all and I couldn't! If anyone wants a copy they can gladly have mine! Seriously! First timers try The Baby Whisperer by Tracey Hogg, she was a wonderful lady and some of her methods are great, much less harsh than SWMNBM!

derlor · 17/04/2007 21:12

OH RIGHT dohhhh!!
THAT book (i swear by it ssshhhhh... not only will i get chucked off mumsnet but i will most definately be sacked from my job ssshhhhh)
Each to their own i say - when baby is screaming do WHATEVER works for you (within reason and the law!!)

I had hit rock bottom and needed help desperately! First time I picked it up I didn't get on with it. As a single mum it was so overwhelming, I remember vividly walking down my street bawling awhen DS was 8 weeks. It was then I picked it up. I couldn't do it word for word, but took what I needed. I am very organised and a bit, erm, controlling however!!

I have considered returning my books to the publisher in light of the MN situation however. Am I allowed to say that?

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:17

Am with you foxy.

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 21:18

Mmmm - quick change of subject before we get our thread shut down.

I got a Lindt Gold Bunny yesterday at Tescos, marked down from 3 pound or so to 84p! Bargain - it's delish. Why did I only buy one??? So far ears and head are gone. Don't see ot lasting till morning.

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:20

Hi there....H&A, next time email me and I will come down and build sandcastles with you and your gorgeous dd. I actually had to do some work today for dh so missed the sunshine. Which bit of beach did you go to?

Laughing socks off at SWSNBM (or whatever it is). I do want to try routine feeding (don't laugh) simply because our working hours are so ridiculous it is going to get silly. Does The Baby Whisperer deal with that? Anyone else want to recommed a routine book?

Bumper - you did the right thing re rats - never ever poison them as they STINK for 3 months and it is very bad karma

derlor · 17/04/2007 21:20

Oh Tallulah, those bunnies are ESSENTIAL for the growth and development of your unborn child EAT IT ALL NOW!!!!!!
