you mean i'm going to grow out of my size 8 shorts???

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:33

I'm full of gab tonight....I tried some of the Annabel Karmel kiddies ready meals (looks over shoulder furtively for fear of being lynched by the perfect mummy set) that you can now buy and didn't rate them, but I suppose the recipes made fresh will be much better...I'm gonna have a look next time I'm in Borders...

derlor · 17/04/2007 20:33

yeah Daisy - don't you Edinburgh lot also call us Glasgow lot WEEGIES????
WE KNOW YOU KNOW!!!

I just measured and i'm 40.5" right round at widest/fattest/moststickyout part.

TB - that is a blast from the past. When I last lived there Joplins was called something else (can't remember won't remember) and it was the only place you could go after the pubs/clubs closed as it was always open (either that or really write your night off by a pub 'lock in'). Sorry now reminiscing...

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:35

Size 8...now you are trying to make me wee myself laughing.....I was one of the minority of undiagnosed coeliacs who was overweight before being diagnosed....lost lots since though through healthier eating and not bulking up on bread and pasta....but last time I was a size 8 was when I was 8, LOL

annobal · 17/04/2007 20:36

now reminiscing about size 8 shorts...

I feel bad guys, coz I started all this nonsense about the weaning thread! Sorry! I used to be a psychological researcher so I also know that you can make research say pretty much what you want it to say, so unless something is really well established, I would go with your instincts. You need to pick your battles on here and the feeding ones are usually not worth getting involved in.

Nearly ready to send my secret shower prezzy. Not sure if I'll be able to keep my identity a secret though!

Sympathy euuwww for the rats annobal. We had rats in a rented house once and had to leave in then coz they were in the kitchen wall cavity and the landlord wanted to poison them then leave them to rot in the wall - nice!

Derlor - don't worry, your secret is safe with us!

Sputnik, how's the ol' uterus doing?

Dontknowmyarse - sorry you are feeling ruffled, but I wouldn't worry about your post, it was pretty tame by my standards!

Evening everyone else. Managed to stay off here pretty much all day! Ooh, by the way here is a link to a freebie site, I've tried to get a free sample of eco friendly nappies.

I think they used to chuck you out about 5am - then you could go to Recovery but I was never quite that much of a dirty stop out. There was always somewhere to go, not like here where you get chucked out pubs at 11 or 12 and clubs by 3am. Not that it worries me now - way past it . Am glad of the excuse to go home TBH.

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:40

Bugger, I'm huge (Daisybump retreats to the corner to wallow in self pity)

derlor.....I would only use the term 'weegie' for that particular unshaved, offensive, buckfast swilling type of person from west of Harthill services .

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 17/04/2007 20:40

Just measured by bump (rolled top up and high waisted trousers down to get acurate measurement!) and am 40.5" so am feeling quite 'normal' amongst you all tonight.
Hey Daisy - who you callin a southerner? (suppose I've been called worse!)

derlor · 17/04/2007 20:41

oh my god i REMEMBER 'recovery'
those WERE the days!!!! nuff said

Good evening all! Had a busy day! Dp went to Bournemouth to see a client and dd and I tagged along and went to the beach! We had fun!

My Vertbaudet stuff arrived this morning and is all lovely except the shockingly shoddy toy box. It is awful. If dd were to lean on it it would snap in half! Really wobbly and crap!

Seansgirl I have worked out those Vertbaudet codes for you and am just about to email you with them. I have saved you £83.60!!! Hand me the queen of bargains crown!

I am a limey southerner, being about as southern as you get!! I don't take offence!

I need some dinner, I haven't had any yet and need to crack on with some decorating! Grrrr...where did my day go?

Am trying to catch up, it's been a busy day on here!

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:44

I hope you've been limiting your intake to one or two bottles a day whilst pg....

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:44

HandA....is that on the one shop or do you have to do the orders separately?

Daisybump · 17/04/2007 20:46

I'll shut up now...am off to have a cup of herbal tea and watch CSI. Later.....

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 20:46

It's separate orders daisy. Generally the most you can save on one order is £10. Most of the codes have free p&p so if you do loads of orders you get loads of discount!

foxybrown · 17/04/2007 20:47

bumper ... couldn't stay away, huh?

don't worry about starting the weaning conversation - this has to be the safest place to get into it surely?! I think the AK book is so popular because it tells you what you need to do! always my favourite sort of baby manual.

not meaning to be controversial, but thats why I got on with the SWMNBN book. I needed to be told what to do!!

talking of food, I just ate 6 fresh cream profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce.

and now I'm eating the other 6

derlor · 17/04/2007 20:47

yes Daisy, managed to reduce my daily intake of Bucky to 2 bottles a day - still hanging about Harthill though!!!
H&A - 'beech' sounds lovely. been really cold with rain showers here today

OP posts:
derlor · 17/04/2007 20:49
