Compromise with a curry salad maybe?

Did I mention I'm bored?

bumperlicious · 16/04/2007 18:26

Mmm curry...

Where d'you get the vouchers from voucher queen!?

sputnik · 16/04/2007 18:26

this sounds nice, I'd chuck in some cucumber and tomatoes though

sputnik · 16/04/2007 18:28

Think H&A's curry arrived.
I've got a pizza delivery guy (DH) on the way myself

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 18:29

I'm wearing my full body grip as I type tallulabelle......and it does help a bit, but as you say is a bit on the itchy side, especially in this hot weather. Still getting lots of pain though and have to be careful standing up as it can double me up in pain. Think I might refer myself back to the physio.

hollyandalice · 16/04/2007 18:29

Ewwww...curry salad! The link didn't work, but I can imagine it is gross! DP is still not home yet and I'm getting hungrier by the second. I have made some rice and have been standing in the kitchen eating it!

Poor bored sputnik! Do this quiz! It's super addictive!

OOooo curry's here!!

fatcatkin · 16/04/2007 18:29

Sputnik, your first link didn't work exactly but gave a page where the first link read:
"Women Who Love Dogging A Great Place To Find Doggers"

Now PMSL....

sputnik · 16/04/2007 18:34

Bugger, can't even do a link anymore.
Provided some amusement anyway

sputnik · 16/04/2007 18:37

riabutterflew · 16/04/2007 18:47

riabutterflew · 16/04/2007 18:47

marylou23 · 16/04/2007 19:05

Did any of you know that there are over 1000 calories in a chocolate orange ? I never look at calories, but for some reason as I was munching away, I turned it over (I think to see if the orange provided any vitamin C and there it was. 45 calories for one of those teeny tiny segments, about 1100 for the whole lot. I thought my bump was all baby, but it isn't - it's all chocolate orange. It's even chocolate orange-shaped .

annobal · 16/04/2007 19:05

Hi all! After planning a quiet day before return to pre-school tomorrow, I spent the whole day with a friend at Canary Wharf, including a walk through Greenwich Park to get there and back! Am now totally knackered - however LOs in bed and DH in kitchen cooking pasta for dinner! He is a star!!

Has taken me ages to catch up - and that was just a day. Am not a fan of slings myself and have just managed to dig out the baby bjorn and put it in a pile to wash. I do think they look great though, just don't work too well with me.

Sputnik - is your dh an it consultant? That is what dh does and although the money's quite good, work can be a bit unreliable. He now works with a friend and has just landed a great project with a 12 month contract. Should take us nicely to next April and leaving for oz...

As for MILs (and mothers for that matter) - may need to whinge about that another day.

I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow - think I may have another infection and also have to have all bloods taken - ick.

Holly - is your dh australian? or does he just like aboriginal art??

annobal · 16/04/2007 19:07

MaryLou at the choc orange! Have 2 of those and that's a whole day's allowance gone!

marylou23 · 16/04/2007 19:11

Ooh, Greenwich park is lovely. I used to have a friend who lived round there...

Seansgirl · 16/04/2007 19:13

Mmmmm curry, mines a biryani (lamb) or Dupiaza (lamb again) and I particularly (and DH pukes at this) love banana and mango chutney on my curries.

Curry salad? Umm coronation chicken is very yummy, but tuna? bleurgh!!

On slings I'm a babybjorn fan myself, will be digging out DDs black one and washing it.

Thanks everyone for letting me get the party off my chest too.... have managed to stew away these last two days. Don't get me wrong, I love my DF very much, but he is so infuriating, hedonistic and selfish it is driving me mad! Normally, I don't get quite so wound up! His constant smoking drives me insane (and is a very selfish smoker at that - ie if you're at his house, he'll smoke in it if he wants type of thing....grrrr) and whilst I'm not drinking my whole family seem like complete piss heads that swig it back at any opportunity! DH says that it only annoys me as I can't join in Right, that over am feeling better.

I could moan about my MIL, SIL and stepILS too, and probably my SIL (married to my brother) - now I could really really slag her off.... but don't get me started!

I'm going to shut up now. (Honestly)

Seansgirl · 16/04/2007 19:15

Am on bath and story duties tonite might see you later x

doggus · 16/04/2007 19:21

Marylou - you have a chocolate and orange obsession (still bitter after you introduced me to M&S biscuits, 120 calories a bloody go ).

I am up for ordering the Baby Buddha sling so make that four, sputnik (I think it was you emailing them, wasn't it?). If I can do anything to help let me know.

I am in a right old strop today - I'm too HOT! Dh had his 50th birthday party yesterday, just eight of us in a restaurant for lunch but it lasted five hours! And then he did the whole guilt trip thing and we went back to a friends for G&Ts in the garden (limeade for me) and the whole thing ended up lasting seven hours. Dh and I are both bears with sore heads for different reasons.

I didn't realise it would be quite so uncomfortable being pg in the heat, everything in my body that can swell, has....

hollyandalice · 16/04/2007 19:22

Ahhh that's better! Lovely curry and dd enjoyed it too!! People are always surprised when I tell them what she eats...curry, chilli, garlic, onions, anything really!

Annobal my dp's dad is Australian, well has been living there for 20 odd years. When we went over there last year for his sham of a wedding he gave dp his digeridoo and he loves it! Hence the Aboriginal art to match!

Marylou I don't read those calorie lists, too depressing. I'm always surprised by how many calories things have in them! 1100 for a choc orange! I could easily eat a whole one!

Seansgirl email a list of what you want in Vertbaudet and I'll work out the cheapest way for you to buy them (and get free gifts )!

Now...Mini Eggs or yoghurt for desert? Me thinks Mini Eggs!

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 19:30

so, HandA, are you the queen of internet shopping. i bought some shorts from Vertbaudet the other day, but there was only room for one code. Still, I got £10 off, plus free delivery...don't know whether or not there is a free gift. Only problem wiht them is the delivery time...thought 7-10 days was a bit excessive. Still...shorts are only costing £11....and they have an over bump panel...i'm getting really fed up with all the under bump stuff I bought in Next as they wont stay up and need a belt which digs in.

Can't find the curry house menu....so having cheesy chips with salsa for tea instead, and then I'm off to bed....DS still bouncing around upstairs, at this rate I'll be asleep before him.

Don't ever look at calories, and have been living on a diet mainly consisting of crisps and chocolate all weekend.....dread to think how many extra calories I've eaten....salads all the way for me from now on....yeah right

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 19:32

Our local curry house does a fantastic buffet on a Sunday and we often take DS. The waiters are always amazed at him eating the curries, as all the other kids there usually opt for chicken nuggets and chips, LOL.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 16/04/2007 19:38

Hello everyone!

I am all excited cos I've just sorted out my secret baby shower gift on t'internet! oooie - hope my giftee likes it???

Feeling a bit smug and very organised now!

doggus · 16/04/2007 19:39

So daisy and H&A, how do you get children to eat things like curry - do you just set them off on it as soon as they are eating solids or do they have to be past a certain age? I would love to have a non-fussy child, it would be so much easier and we could take it out to Wagamama.

I am going to buy this coz it makes me laugh!

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 19:40

Have anyone on No2 or more booked any ante-natal classes? I haven't bothered, but am now starting to worry that I'll have forgotten everything (it was five years ago)...or is it like riding a bike? I just didn't fancy sitting through all the stuff about breathing and positions and how to BF...and as for the video we got shown.....excruciatingly embarrasing for the women watching, nover mind all the parntners......

Daisybump · 16/04/2007 19:46

we started him off on korma with lots of rice, and now he'll eat vindaloo......only joking ...if its too spicy he soon lets us know, but he'll eat pretty much anything as long as its yellow.....so its obviously a psychological thing; he likes yellow curry, so will eat any yellow curry provided its not too strong, and he loves onion bhajis
