Ooo damn, I bought my pregnacare in Superdrug where it wasn't on offer @BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer! Doh!! Then again I'm so worried this wont stick I'd feel I was tempting fate buying three months worth!

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 22/09/2017 13:10

@lampert, fate shmate!
I figured if I don't end up using it I can give it to my pregnant friends. I bought a three month supply box and then some Barocca for my eldest! They had all sorts included in the offer.

timeisnotaline · 22/09/2017 13:19

I can't seem to post -
Just trying to say hi!

timeisnotaline · 22/09/2017 13:20

Oh now it works. I'm tentatively due May 28th but ds was 12 days late so my money is june...

lampert · 22/09/2017 13:23

You are soooo right @BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer. I need to find a way to relax and try not to stress about things I can't control.

Welcome @timeisnotaline - we are due date buddies! I think that's a bit inaccurate though cause I ovulated late.

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 22/09/2017 13:43

@lampert I'm trying not to stress too. Helps for me that this is my forth pregnancy and this was a surprise. I can only imagine how different it must be if this pregnancy was very much planned and I'd been trying for months/years to conceive.

Miscarriage is largely out of our control. I've already had some spotting and mild cramps so I think I'm trying to be as pragmatic as possible.

Enjoy your pregnancy, try not to stress too much! X

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 22/09/2017 13:44

@timeisnotaline Hello! We're due date buddies too. I'm due 28/29th May but have always gone overdue! If this pregnancy sticks, I'm sure I'll have a June baby!

lampert · 22/09/2017 14:01

Thank you@BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer. Im overthinking everything cause part of me still can't believe I'm pregnant and because it's my first I'm being silly.

Lorz80 · 23/09/2017 19:00

Hi all

I'd love to join your group. I found out I'm pregnant last Tuesday.

Boofay and timeisnotline I'm also due on the 29th May (I think). I have a scan on the 12th oct which will be about 7 weeks. I should get a better idea of due date then.

GreggsSausageRolls · 23/09/2017 21:15

I feel so tired and crap today. Couldn't finish a chicken Kiev today, if I become veggie I won't be able to keep this pregnancy secret for long!

How are you all? Welcome to the new joiners Smile

pulpi · 23/09/2017 21:18

Congrats and welcome @Lorz80 !

I've been feeling a bit shit as well today, @GreggsSausageRolls , and I've been trying to remember if I felt this run down and nauseous with DS, but I'm not sure.

GreggsSausageRolls · 23/09/2017 21:29

@pulpi I definitely felt like his with DC1, I used to be in bed by 8pm but then I could be as had no children! Hope this passes soon... how far gone are you?

Lorz80 · 23/09/2017 22:07

My symptoms seem to come and go. I have been exhausted all week but the flutters in my tummy are less frequent. My boobs feel much more full. I'm still analysing all my symptoms all the time! I just want another scan to prove there's really something in there! :-)

pulpi · 24/09/2017 02:53

Just 4 weeks, @GreggsSausageRolls . Not even in the worst of it yet!

timeisnotaline · 24/09/2017 09:49

Are all of these 8 week scans because of a history of miscarriage or do other areas do it differently?

HistoricalCheesecake · 24/09/2017 12:13

Exhaustion seems to have hit me like a ton of bricks out of nowhere. Yesterday my partner was home and did a lot of the childcare whilst I read and relaxed on the couch, and I was still shattered by 20:00h - asleep by 21:00h!

I remember being tired with DS early on too but I can't remember it being this bad... then again I didn't have an almost-toddler to look after. Grin

GreggsSausageRolls · 24/09/2017 14:21

I was floored yesterday too and today I haven't gotten out of my pyjamas yet, have gone breakfast and cleaning and lunch and laundry though, will hit the shower now and have a lie down....

I have some seven seas trying to conceive left, a whole box plus half a packet.... they contain folic acid and vit d so I assume ok to take now? I also have some Aldi folic acid, so don't want to have to buy expensive vitamins if I don't have to?! Or at least not until I've finished what I've got at home?

Can I ask what number dc this is for you? This is my third, dc1 and 2 are 7 and 4, both at school. I have my own business where I work 5/6 days a week, and a husband who is away quite a bit with work. Am ambit stressed at how I'll get through the next eight months Confused

McTufty · 24/09/2017 15:04

Still no exhaustion here! No nausea either, lucky so far. It's our first Smile

ladydolly · 24/09/2017 19:05

@timeisnotaline We're having an early one privately just to stop me worrying. I don't think any areas do it as standard... as far as I know.

greggs I'm doing that with my vitamins and then I'll get a cheapo version of pregnacare I think. This is #2 for us. I've got a lot of nausea and last night the pregnancy insomnia kicked in which was one of my early symptoms with DD. The broken sleep made me tired but not any more so than a non pregnant disturbed night. Luckily. I've got a really busy 6 weeks coming up. Work is very busy then DP has a big birthday which involves a party, visits to family, weekends away. I'm dreading it.

Welcome new guys!!

Feeling pretty tired and nauseous constantly as well as some cramps. I don't remember cramps or tiredness with DD1, at least not until 3rd trimester anyway. Sickness didn't start until 6 weeks last time, but started 4 weeks in the dot this time. I guess i can view it as a positive sign though

WeasleyWoman · 24/09/2017 19:29

Ooo hi ladies, can I join?
Got my bfp on Tuesday for DC#3 but had to work up the courage to mumsnet it as I have been here before and then bled at 5weeks. But I am being brave and positive! Grin

WeasleyWoman · 24/09/2017 19:35

17caterpillar I had much worse cramps and earlier with #2 my midwife told me the cramps are a lot worse with subsequent babies as your womb has to stretch again through scar tissue. Am worried it gets worse with #3!

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/09/2017 19:55

That makes sense actually Weasley so good to know it's normal.

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 24/09/2017 20:21

@WeasleyWoman Welcome!
Oh gosh, if that's the case then no wonder I've been cramping! I'm on pregnancy number 4!

Happyapples · 24/09/2017 20:28

Hi ladies, mind if I join? Congratulations to you all! Looks like I'm due 1st of June too. Pregnant after my 1st IVF cycle, honestly can't believe it worked, have been trying for 7 years. I have an 8 year old son so going to try hold off til Xmas to tell him he's finally going to be a big brother, ah makes me emotional thinking about it. How are you all feeling?
