Hi and congratulations to the new ladies!! :)

ladydolly · 06/10/2017 10:27

@pulpi I forgot too!! I was getting really anxious and wound up about work, I was all set to make a docs appointment because I was depressed when I asked DP if I was like this last time... he carefully explained I was.

Shortness of breath is something Iv noticed, I thought I was just being a wimp haha.

I walk up a hill on my way home from work every night and before I was ok but the last week Iv feel like it's a lot harder. I'm not even remotely showing now so no idea how I'll be 4 months down the line (or 7) xxxx

ElizabethLemon · 06/10/2017 10:50

@pulpi, I'm a librarian too! I was crawling around on the floor yesterday sorting a display for he junior library and felt really exhausted and achey afterwards. Im trying to avoid any heavy lifting and low down shelving but don't want my colleagues to think I'm being a lazy cow!

lampert · 06/10/2017 11:15

I've noticed shortness of breath too, I thought my fitness (not that I am fit in the slightest) had totally tanked overnight. That's actually one of the things that made me wonder if I could be pregnant before I'd done the first of many test.

HolyShmoly · 06/10/2017 11:23

So after all my worry yesterday about being so sore I've had no pain today so now I'm worried about that too! Confused
I know you should enjoy it all, but I just want to fast forward a few weeks.

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 06/10/2017 12:05

The shortness of breath everyone is experiencing, is it like the shortness of breath you feel during braxton hicks? I've felt that kind of shortness of breath and it concerns me. Apparently, the more pregnancies you've had, the earlier you feel Brixton Hicks but I never expected them at 6 weeks. I haven't felt tightening around my tummy, just the breathlessness that comes with it.

RockinRobinTweets · 06/10/2017 12:13

holy I had a panic this morning because I felt fine Grin - you literally can't win

jmojo · 06/10/2017 12:35

@BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer I never has sob with braxton hicks. Mine is more like the breathlessness of exertion. Like you just did a little too much too quickly

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 06/10/2017 12:39

@jmojo I guess it's more like a sense of my breath being taken away when I've had BH before rather than breathlessness.
I've had a couple of episodes of feeling like that in the past week.

IrnBruCraver · 06/10/2017 12:44

I've got sore twingy kidneys today. Doc is giving me a triage call later.

LJFM2B · 06/10/2017 12:55

Is describe the breathing thing like when you have a cold and you do something after not doing a lot! ... almost a bit tight Chested (no pains)

fast fowarding the next 6 weeks would be perfect for me too!

jmojo · 06/10/2017 13:00

@LJFM2B Yes that is it!

Lulu298 · 06/10/2017 13:13

Thanks for the replies about folic acid. Think Ovia is American. It says levels in (American) prenatal vitamins are 800-1000 mcg! And says women can safely consume up to 1,000 mcg a day.

Decided to have some greens with lunch to try and up my levels. And am going to get some avocados too, lol!

bonnymnemonic · 06/10/2017 13:22

Hi all. I'm getting the light headed feeling too. I think it's when I have an empty stomach and do something physical. It was occurring yesterday when I put DD to bed in her cot; the leaning over triggered it. I don't remember experiencing it last time.

pulpi · 06/10/2017 13:32

Just received my scan date in the post. 20 November feels like ages away!

DT2016 · 06/10/2017 15:43

Hi newbies to the thread 👋 Congratulations!

I heard from EPU today. I have early scan booked in with consultant next Wednesday. Will be 5+2. Am so nervous.

I did another FRER earlier hoping to see a darker line, but it was lighter. It wasn't FMU though so hoping its that and not something more sinister. Why did I do it? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Loving the spreadsheet @IrnBruCraver Do we put our own stats on? I'm a total tech-numpty!!

SulkyPuddleDuck · 06/10/2017 16:05

Ooh can I be added to the spreadsheet? Am located in County Durham (originally a Londoner so quite a change!) EDD is 14/6/18, no booking appointment yet as waiting on these pesky betas..

Nurse who took my blood this morning was so so lovely. She pointed out I might have a stressful weekend and in a nudge nudge wink wink way suggested if I was really worrying I could call urgent care tomorrow as they'd have my results on system 1. 'Sometimes it does more harm to stick to the rules than to bend them.' What a legend.

LJFM2B · 06/10/2017 16:22

pulpi Thats exciting we all hope it speeds by

I'll do spreadsheet tonight xx

SulkyPuddleDuck · 06/10/2017 16:56

Yay to all of you receiving scan dates and booking appointments :) Fingers crossed I'll hear something early next week.

Anyone else being a moody whatnot at the moment? Poor DP is really getting a rough deal of it, then I get sad and apologise tearfully. Plus my tummy is playing up, either constipated or the ah... opposite >.< Windy and bloated and generally not very attractive. About to sit in PJs and watch Forrest Gump with (decaf) tea. Blergh.

IrnBruCraver · 06/10/2017 17:33

Oh yes my DH is copping for it big time. It doesn't help that he arranged to have his 3yo son at ours more often without consulting me while we also pick up our new puppy tomorrow (which we committed to before we knew) so my stress levels are through the roof!

curliegirlie · 06/10/2017 17:52

Ha, another hands up to the breathlessness. My DD usually comes into bed with us at night, and lies on my front for a feed and last night I found it so uncomfortable and felt very squashed. Looks like I’ll have to put a stop to that one before I grow an actual bump!

ElizabethLemon · 06/10/2017 18:46

Yes I lay on the bed and cried earlier for no apparent reason. H tried to comfort me only to be snapped at and batted away. I've been a bit short tempered with dc1 in the mornings too which makes me feel guilty and then I cry more.

Bunnyears85 · 06/10/2017 20:29

I hope you're okay @ElizabethLemon Try not to beat yourself up too much. It's just hormones it's not permanent. DH's part of the pregnancy is taking a bit of grief. Seeing as though his body isn't afffected! He's currently working his way through a nice bottle of red wine and it smells divine!!!!

LJFM2B · 06/10/2017 20:40

Glad to hear people are being tetchy with there DHs, mine is coping by laughing at me at the moment .. on occasions when I'm extra hormonal I don't find that funny Confused but usually I realise I'm being ridiculous. So stress with people at work too Confused hopefully just first tri xx
