Is it 16 weeks you get to hear the heartbeat? If so, I think that'll be the week before Christmas too! 😍

jmojo · 05/10/2017 15:41

Does anyone else have their pregnancy super smelling sense yet? Mine arrived today. I walked into the kitchen this morning and all I could smell was onion. I had chopped one for a stew the afternoon before. The kitchen smelt like it had been rubbed down with it. It isn't quite as bad as last pregnancy yet (when I could smell soap if anyone in the house used it...usually followed by puking.)

RockinRobinTweets · 05/10/2017 15:48

jmojo yes! The open kitchen bin at work is my enemy and I can smell if anyone has eaten an onion this year.

pulpi · 05/10/2017 16:52

@jmojo Yup. They've started painting the walls at my work and even though it's a large, well-ventilated space, the fumes definitely bothered me a bit. Luckily I have a 4 day weekend (yay Canadian Thanksgiving!) so hopefully it'll be all finished by Tuesday.

curliegirlie · 05/10/2017 17:12

@HolySchmoly not necessarily. At my 16 week appointment all my midwife did was take a urine sample and ask me how her daughter could get into my profession.😕

jmojo · 05/10/2017 17:22

I think It varies greatly from area to area at what gestation they will listen for a heartbeat. Some places it is 26 wks.

HolyShmoly · 05/10/2017 19:18

Oh boo to that!
Just had the GP appointment which was quick and reassuring. I have to call in the morning to make my midwife appointment.

Shutupanddance1 · 05/10/2017 19:59

Hi ladies - tentively sticking my neck in here ATM - DD 6th June.

I've 1 DD who is 14 months, I had pre eclampsia and a section with her. Not much that you can do to avoid it but I'm hoping I don't get it this time round!

Kinda excited - I'm abroad so got my booking in and first scan in 2 weeks time (should be 7 weeks then). ATM I feel so tired, all day! Sad I was lucky and didn't get morning sickness before - just terrible nausea.

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 20:35

Just checking in as not posted for a while. Am 5 weeks plus something today and am shattered. That is all. 😄

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 20:36

Is everyone on the spreadsheet? Love to see all the stats and stuff!

HolyShmoly · 05/10/2017 20:51

I've added myself.
God, I can't believe it's only been 5 days since I tested. This has been the longest week ever!

Lulu298 · 05/10/2017 21:03

Hi ladies, please may I join?

EDD of 6 June. I have one DS who's nearly 3. I have polycystic ovaries, adenomyosis and suspected endometriosis. Was down to have laparoscopy surgery to officially diagnose this and treat it at the same time but got a BFP instead!

Really hope it's a sticky one. Am obsessively checking the tissue after every toilet visit.

Not many symptoms at the moment apart from feeling sick at times. No sore boobs yet - am wondering whether they're going to kick in at some point like last time.

Fingers crossed for everyone.

Bunnyears85 · 05/10/2017 21:06

Here's the stats sheet! Hello new joiners Smile docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10CI3k9Tx1O67Em0O440bVO7ByDK7MmH9iKKlfGzkjec

IrnBruCraver · 05/10/2017 21:07

What/where is the spreadsheet?

IrnBruCraver · 05/10/2017 21:07

Oh!

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 21:08

@HolyShmoly it feels like I've pregnant forever but it's been two weeks since BFP and not even two since my missed period! I keep forgetting I'm even pregnant Confused feel guilt for this dc as with dc1 I was all over the pregnancy research etc. This time I haven't even signed up to any emails or freebies yet!SmileGrin

Bunnyears85 · 05/10/2017 21:09

When we start new threads we can pin it as the first post so it's easy to find xx

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 21:10

@Lulu298 I have two of the three conditions you stated, and am on dc3! I was told following a lap in July I had to have a hysterectomy and consultant gave me six months to try for dc3..... here I am!

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 21:11

And congrats to all the recent bfps! I'll shut up now Blush

Digsy10 · 05/10/2017 21:15

Hi ladies please may I join?
I got my bfp' son the 25th of September, my first day of last period was 24th August so I'm so confused when I'm going to be due and how many weeks along I am.... Anyone help!? I no I conceived somewhere between the 6th and 11th of September..... So I think I'm defo due sometime in June!! It's my 3rd baby, son of 8 daughter of 5! So excited..... And super tender breasts haha :)

Digsy10 · 05/10/2017 21:16

Bfp' not bfp' son haha

Lulu298 · 05/10/2017 21:17

@greggs - congratulations! When did you find out you had endo?

I think the internal scan they gave me helped, as they said it would, to encourage my body to get pregnant this cycle. Have been trying for 16 cycles. Same thing happened with my DS - got pregnant after having the internal scan after trying for 18 cycles!

GreggsSausageRolls · 05/10/2017 21:38

@lulu have had endo for ten years plus, recently diagnosed with adeno. I get pregnant after each diagnostic lap.... I think of it as my 'service wash'! Grinhave had prostap, full works but being pregnant will give you a break from the pain for a while!

HolyShmoly · 05/10/2017 21:50

@Digsy10 I used the NHS due date checker: www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/due-date-calculator.aspx

Annoyingly it takes my cycle length into consideration so accurately puts me at 4+1 rather than 5+1 if I went from the first day of my last period. This means I have a whole extra week to wait!

@greggssausagerolls freebies you say?? I've just signed up to the preggo versions of Glow and Ovia. I feel like I'm tempting fate if I sign up for everything else too early. Not that I'm not furiously googling what my pfb will need and wondering where the week-by-week countdown checklist is that's basically the same as the Christmas countdown but for a baby is...
