So sorry @Cronxgirl27 Sending hugs. Hope you're doing ok and being looked after.

Hi @MynameisJune we are due date buddies!! Congratulations!

Congratulations to you too @hoopdeloop

I spoke to gp yesterday and she's done referral to consultant for 5 week scan. Waiting to hear from hospital and will try and speak to hospital today. The start of this pregnancy is nothing like my last one that ended so badly, so praying this one will have a happy ending 🙏🏻

HolyShmoly · 05/10/2017 08:10

I had really bad pain last night, but it was lower than I normally get period pain or the twinges I've been getting so far. Do you think it might be things stretching in a different way? I was really worried last night as it was bad enough to wake me up, but I haven't had any bleeding or anything so now I don't know what to think.
Have the GP appointment tonight so I'll mention to him.
Hi and congrats to everyone else that's joined!

LJFM2B · 05/10/2017 08:19

So sorry @Cronxgirl27 theres nothing anybody can say that will help you, its everybodies worse fear and some of us on this thread have been there! I really hope your ok! My only advice is to rest - i didnt for the first few days and really regretted it!

Welcome @MynameisJune @hoopdeloop and Congratulations

@HolyShmoly I hope the GP appointment goes well and he/she is helpful!! .. speaking to the midwifes last night made it feel more real Smile

curliegirlie · 05/10/2017 08:22

Wow, this really seems to be the hypothyroidism club! I’m also a member, currently only on 25mg of levothyroxine, so am curious to see whether my dosage will be increased this time (last time, whilst on 50mg, it was left the same). However, I think my TSH level around or even under 1, so maybe not?? With my last pregnancy, hypothyroidism didn’t really make much difference, but did mean I was automatically under consult-led care.

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 05/10/2017 08:25

@HolyShmoly I've been having pains. Not period pains but stabbing, shooting pains. At first I put it down to ligaments stretching (4th pregnancy - could be happening this early) but I'm not so sure now. Had to go to bed in the end. Not so sore this morning but now I have a dull back ache.

Not sure what's normal and what isn't, despite my three other pregnancies.

curliegirlie · 05/10/2017 08:28

@mynameisjune!! Congratulations!! Thought you might end up here 😉

LJFM2B · 05/10/2017 08:29

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer They do say stabbing pains at the 6 week mark is expected due to whats going on inside? but always worth calling and checking it out... do you have a local midwife department that you can call

RockinRobinTweets · 05/10/2017 09:00

I'm dying today, so nauseated. Had to do a nice not so discrete dash from the office to the loo to heave. Envy

MynameisJune · 05/10/2017 09:01

Thanks for the welcome all.

Still can’t quite believe it.

holy I’ve had cramps already this time and had them from about 5-8 seems with DD. Usually it’s just stretching and moving but I know it’s still worrying.

MynameisJune · 05/10/2017 09:02

Thanks curlie it’s a bit surreal 😊

SulkyPuddleDuck · 05/10/2017 09:56

@Cronxgirl27 I'm so sorry :( I don't think there's anything anyone can say but I hope you're getting some rest and being kind to yourself.

@hoopdeloop Welcome :)

Got my betas back this morning, apparently yesterday which I think was 13DPO my levels were 65 which the doc says is 'well within the range of continuing pregnancy.' Being me I've googled and am second guessing (ungh) but I guess the real test will be whatever levels appear tomorrow... Which I also guess I may have to wait until Monday to get back argh Hopefully he can get them to me on Friday evening but I imagine he has far more important doctor-y things to be doing with people who are actually ill and not just anxiety ridden! Bit more brown CM last night (AF would have been due today) but nothing this morning so we'll see...

LJFM2B · 05/10/2017 10:05

SulkyPuddleDuck Its horrible isnt it, just second guessing every niggle and inspecting your undies every time you go to the loo!! these first few weeks are torture. I cant say i know alot about hormone levels so cant really comment but hopefully they can sneak your results through by tomorrow eve.

im scared for next week as my MC happened the day after my 1st MW appointment last time and my MW appointment is tuesday - i should be excited but im just nervous!!

The lows and highs of being a woman ay!

SulkyPuddleDuck · 05/10/2017 10:14

LJFM2B Oh gosh good luck! I'm with you on loo trips, undie inspections and imaginary pains... It's honestly one of the most nerve wracking experiences I've ever had. If this little splat sticks it's going to be the most anxious baby in history Blush

Latest drama of the morning.. We had a mattress set up in the study downstairs last week when DP's cousins were staying and we ran out of beds. I couldn't sleep at about 4am this morning so went down there, jostled a table and something spilt on the floor. Thinking it was just water I wiped it with a spare towel then thought I smelt something to held the towel to my face and took a big whiff.

Cue head rush and coughing - it was a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (100%!!) that DP had left out because he was cleaning something. I'm now absolutely terrified I've done something to the blasted blastocyst Sad Stood outside and got some good gulps of air but wow it was strong. Ergh. I essentially just abused a solvent while pregnant. Fack.

MynameisJune · 05/10/2017 10:28

sulky so sorry you’re having a worrying time. The weeks until the first scan are so fraught with worry. But if the little beans manage to stick they are amazingly resilient. So please try not to worry too much about the chemicals and my best tip right now is stay off google. Hugs x

Bunnyears85 · 05/10/2017 10:50

Great advice there from @nmynameisJune!

@IrnBru - No problems at all DS born 3 days after due date weighing 8lb 2lbs. I'm on 50mcg of Levothyroxine and put on three stone during my last pregnancy Blush Won't be doing that again!! Having Hypothyroidism meant i was on the labour ward (which i actually loved!) and had a few extra blood tests - that was it!

IrnBruCraver · 05/10/2017 10:55

Hi fellow hypothyroider @curliegirlie lol it's encouraging to hear that it didn't make much difference to you. My GP was worried about me being on mumsnet in case any horror stories unneccessarily freaked me out. I'm on 75mg of levothyroxine.

IrnBruCraver · 05/10/2017 10:56

Oh relieved to hear it @Bunnyears85 thank you!

LJFM2B · 05/10/2017 10:59

SulkyPuddleDuck dont worry too much about the chemicals, some people who work with chemicals cant give there jobs up because of it (ie cleaners etc) just get some fresh air today and drink plenty :)

I went out with a friend whos 33weeks pregnant last night and she said her whole pregnancy has been one big worry!! and most likley because of google ... i was sitting there thinking 'oh brilliant only 34 weeks of worry left' she doesnt know about me yet!!

HolyShmoly · 05/10/2017 11:35

I had no worry until today. There's a Groupon deal for an early scan for £50 so I might book that in for the 28th. I'll be around 8 weeks and it's a few days before our anniversary so I think it would be good. DH says he's happy to go along with whatever I want, which makes a change! I think/know he's waiting on me to have a complete meltdown and he's also trying not to get too excited till after the first trimester.

MynameisJune · 05/10/2017 11:57

In all honesty the worry never leaves, after the pregnancy you worry about the baby constantly are you doing things correctly, are the hot/cold/tired/hungry.

All I can say is try not to let the small stuff become big stuff and talk to people. Family, friends, is here. My 2015 baby group have been my village for sure.

Mumof3cheeky · 05/10/2017 12:25

I've made the biggest mistake and tested on clearblue digital to see is weeks going up.
Only showing 1-2 weeks when I had my first positive test 10 days ago.
I feel full of energy today as well so completely stressing myself out😩

Caspiana · 05/10/2017 12:57

@mumof3cheeky

Do not worry about those tests. They are not always accurate and everyone has different levels of HCG, and it will depend how dilute your urine is.

I got 2-3 weeks 10 days apart, the second time I used afternoon urine. The following morning with FMU I got 3+. Could you try again tomorrow first thing?

Mumof3cheeky · 05/10/2017 13:08

Thanks Caspiana yes i took this one at 11 am after lots of water and tea. I was obviously too big headed thinking things were going great after yesterday feeling sicky.
This is such a roller coaster each day is different! 😔
The worst bit is that my period is not due until the 8th but last month was a one off and ovulated straight after af finished so I have know I'm pregnant since (9-10 dpo) for so long as I know my dates yet drs won't even consider me as properly pregnant until I missed my af 😩

LJFM2B · 05/10/2017 14:29

I cant wait for December, and not just for christmas ... but thats the month we will all be able to discuss the fun stuff Smile and hopefully not have to worry about toilet checks, lack of symptoms and niggles!!

Mumof3cheeky its so annoying when doctors dont take you seriously because of how many weeks you are, they dont think of the fact this is your baby!!

IrnBruCraver · 05/10/2017 14:34

Yeah Christmas will be lovely when we've all had our 12 week scans.
