MagggieMay I actually dont because i miscarried in July and havent had a period since :l they might offer me one? ill call the local midwife place and see what they say!

thank you

jmojo · 04/10/2017 15:52

Good idea. You could be further on than you think and you don't want to be too late to book the nuchal scan.

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 15:59

No nausea for me yet though I don't have much of an appetite either :/ I remember with my last (brief) pregnancy it kicked in around six or seven weeks and then it was just a constant nausea feeling without actually throwing up. I actually wouldn't mind feeling a bit sick now just for reassurance but I'm sure all of you suffering at the moment would want to smack me for saying that!!

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 16:02

@Maggie good news about your scan! Hopefully in the next few days and weeks youll be able to relax enough for the remaining time to fly by. Thinking of booking a private one at seven weeks just for heartbeat and viability..

LJFM2B · 04/10/2017 16:06

I have to say as horrible as it is that we all feel this way, its very nice knowing im not the only person worrying!!!

and SulkyPuddleDuck i feel the same, a little bit of 'morning' sickness would be welcomed right about now!!!

purplebiro · 04/10/2017 16:10

Anyone else on here with gd on a previous pregnancy? How are you feeling about your chances this time? I weigh slightly less than last time and my diet and fitness are a lot better but feels hard to be optimistic...

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 16:16

@LJFM2B totally agree - this board is such a great help, think DP is slightly worried I'm losing it so it's such a relief to be able to share without stressing him out Confused

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 16:16

@purplebiro sorry to sound like a moron but what's a gd?

jmojo · 04/10/2017 16:31

Gestational diabetes

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 16:37

Ohh - of course, sorry!

purplebiro · 04/10/2017 16:39

Yep. I'm still not convinced I had it - dd measured completely normal at all scans and birth but for me it equalled 3 months of basically no carbs and insulin because I was allergic to the drugs that were meant to control it. Really want to avoid that this time but that means eating like an angel now and I want my up-the-duff reward cake! Wink

Mummyloves09 · 04/10/2017 16:44

I will second that it is great to gave a forum with out her ppl in the same boat.
My scan is on thursday long story short they believed it is ectopic however numerous tests are proving other wise so this is my second scan trying to locate it. But it was way early at 4 weeks so nothing was viable.
So here we go, hopefully when this is over I can enjoy being pregnant and not walk on eggshells .
Does anyone have cramps and extreme gas (ie: burping)

Mummyloves09 · 04/10/2017 16:45

I will second that, it is great to have a forum with other ppl in the same boat.

LJFM2B · 04/10/2017 17:02

Phew! I'm also saving my DH from stressing him out haha we're in the process of moving houses and the his draling with it all. He wouldn't be able to relate or answer any of my questions anyway so I just stick to the good stuff haha

I called MW and they have booked in my booking ap for next Tuesday and said my scan is booked for 2 weeks after that 😬😬😬😬😬😬 I'm so happy and I can't hold it in - promised I'd keep my feet on the ground until further down the line but it's so blinking hard.

I even started reading giovana fletchers baby book today Confused too early?

SulkyPuddleDuck · 04/10/2017 17:07

@LFJM2B Haha I don't blame you! I keep finding myself daydreaming about names and then having that sinking 'but there are so many hurdles to overcome' feeling >.< One day at a time. At least I'll know my 13DPO HcG by tomorrow AM.

Slightly worried by how overexcited DP is getting, as endearing as it is. He was on the phone to the NZ embassy earlier trying to find out if his embyronic offspring would be entitled to a Kiwi passport. (He didn't mention on the phone that the child in question is currently a blastocyst of course!) I don't think I realised how much I wanted this until it started to happen...

Emz01 · 04/10/2017 18:29

@purplebiro I had GD last time which wasn’t spotted until 32 weeks but thankfully it was diet controlled. I do weigh roughly the same as last time although not too over weight (size 12). Diet is definitely better this time and also regularly exercising which I wasn’t doing before.

So nervous it will happen again but trying to remain optimistic!

IrnBruCraver · 04/10/2017 18:36

Fingers crossed for you @SulkyPuddleDuck

My cramps have abated today not that I would have noticed after MIL p'd me off and I went back to bed in a huff and slept the ENTIRE day (a pro of working for yourself) as I felt sicky and had a headache. Making the DH cook the dinner tonight for a change!

purplebiro · 04/10/2017 18:55

Good luck @EMZ01. I know I'm going to be on tenterhooks for every test. Have they said they'll do the glucose tolerance test early for you this time? I've been told 16 weeks and 28 weeks and sugars at every blood test.

HolyShmoly · 04/10/2017 18:55

What's the best way to prevent GD? Just through healthy diet and exercise?
Has everyone started doing their kegels and squats?

Cronxgirl27 · 04/10/2017 19:08

Oh ladies I've had the worst day. Had some pink-tinge CM this morning but didn't think too much of it then v crampy all afternoon. Then left work at around 3.30 as started bleeding heavily. Am feeling so gutted and convinced it's gone as too much blood now I think. It's not even been a week since found out and feeling so disappointed. So hard to get excited even though you know the stats. Good luck to everyone here for a successful pregnancy - hugs xx

Bunnyears85 · 04/10/2017 19:16

Oh @cronx I am so sorry. My heart hairs out to you. Sending loads of love xx

Bunnyears85 · 04/10/2017 19:17

*goes

lampert · 04/10/2017 19:21

@Cronxgirl27 oh no!!! Everyons worst fear. I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending you big hugs and hoping you're coping ok. Is it worth calling the local EPU in the morning? I know you won't want to get your hopes up but there are so many stories of ladies who've had bleeds and turned out ok Flowers

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 04/10/2017 19:24

@Cronxgirl27 Oh lovely, I hope you're ok. Sending you lots of love xxx

jmojo · 04/10/2017 19:38

@Cronxgirl27, I have been there, it is just awful. Big hugs. x
