Not insomnia yet but DH had the temerity to breathe last night before I got to sleep and I had to storm out to get emergency earplugs!

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 08:28

Ah so pregsomnia is a thing!!!! the past 4-5 nights ive been tossing and turning aswell as being 100 degrees body temp ... last night i actually went into the spare room so that i didnt wake up my DH because his said when im awake his awake and i knew he had an important meeting today!! Again i love that we have this thread so we can reassure each other that were not the only ones!!!!

I think at the stage everybody is worrying and panicking but all we can do is wait :l soooooooooo long .... i feel so impatient, want to call up the hospital to see when i will be getting my appointments haha

pulpi · 03/10/2017 08:36

@HolyShmoly - my god, the breathing! It wasn't until my first pregnancy that I realised I married a mouth breather. Imagine my horror.

Sorry to hear that a lot of us are suffering with the pregsomnia. I've invested in the Sleepy lotion from Lush and I think it's helping a little - although nothing really helps with the anxiety nightmares. Where are the funny sex dreams that I was promised?

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 08:50

Haha pulpi no funny sex dreams for me either, just alot of over thinking Confused

What vitamins etc is everyone taking? there are so many im really not sure what ones to go for!

xxx

Cronxgirl27 · 03/10/2017 08:55

Not had any problems sleeping so far but still early days! Only 4+1 - hope its sorts itself out soon for you guys!

On vits I'm just taking folic acid and vit d at the moment. I'm not sure I can justify paying the pregnacare prices?!?

pulpi · 03/10/2017 08:58

I'm on the Boots pregnancy support. The pregnacare ones are quite dear and aside from the added omega 3 (I think), there's no real difference.

lampert · 03/10/2017 09:01

@pulpi sex dreams here either! I did dream about having a baby last night and I didn't properly love it! I feel horrible this morning.

@LJFM2B I'm taking pregnacare original, it's 3 for 2 in boots. I didn't buy the fancy pregnacare plus one which was triple the price. I finally plucked up the courage to buy the three packs, last week I thought doing that was tempting fate. I decided if it goes horribly wrong I will still want to try again so hopefully I'll need them in future anyway. Boots own pregnancy vitamin looked fine too and was much less expensive. It had many similar ingredients to pregnacare plus some extras.

Caspiana · 03/10/2017 09:02

I have an interview today, and today is the day my nausea has come on with a vengeance!

I can get to sleep ok but wake up every hour to have a wee!! Might try some of that Sleepy stuff.

I’m taking pregnacare, and also additional vitamin C, vitamin E and B vitamins.

The stats are terrifying but the great thing is that the risk reduces so much every single day, and it is more likely than not that the pregnancy will be successful. My mantra which I keep repeating to myself is “the odds are with you not against you”.

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 09:12

lampert i was just on boots online and saw the 3 for 2 and thought the same thing - do i want to temp fate but your so right, if this time it isnt meant to be i will be trying again ... and i learnt last time that tempting fate isnt a thing, MC is not something you can control ... this time around im going to do my best to not let my last experience taint this one :)

3 for 2 it is Smile

Another question, quite random and unlikley but is anyone registering with Darrenth Valley Hospital in Kent?

Good luck with your interview Caspiana

HolyShmoly · 03/10/2017 09:14

Ive been taking the wilko pregnacare Ones, way cheaper and I think have the same stuff. I actually started them last month as I figured if they were safe to take when pregnant they're safe when ttc.
AF is officially due tomorrow, I'm going to get one of the clear blue digital to take in the morning. I would really like to see it in writing!
What exercise are people doing? I actually had a gym induction yesterday. I only really started exercising last month, but I'm planning to keep up cardio and some classes as long as possible. Although that'll probably last two weeks till the sickness and exhaustion kicks in! I've heard that lots of squats make for an easier birth...

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 09:20

Iv opted for 1 pack of pregnacare and 2 boots own!! mix and matching shouldnt harm me and seen as it was 3 for 2 i thought why not.

I dont do much exercise pre pregnancy (i have a busy job and walk a fair bit) so I havent thought too much about it, and because of my MC they said this time i shouldn't do anything out of the ordinary until im into my 2nd trimester... i think im going to go on a few walks every week!

I say i have a busy job but im obviously making time to look on here ... i cant concentrate!!

weasledee · 03/10/2017 09:30

Holy, I’m on wilkos own too! Much cheaper like you say and it’s all the same stuff Smile

Mummyloves09 · 03/10/2017 09:42

Good morning ladies,
I hope all is going well in your pregnancy.
With my previous pregnancy I only took folic acid. However due to medical reasons from the previous year I have started the seven seas range of pregnancy supplement which has a combination of things.
Does this sound about right? Or should I be taking more stuff?

For some strange reason the only symptom I have in this pregnancy is heavy and sensitive boobs with lots of wind (ie ;burping). Feels surreal

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 09:52

I think that sounds fine Mummyloves09 some people dont take anything at all ... i just wanted to get some tips as i know i want to take some but like most things there is so much selection it confuses you.

timeisnotaline · 03/10/2017 10:00

That's brace Caspiana, good luck with the interview!
I'm staying home, I give up on the tube until I have some medication that works and have managed to eat something. I'm 6+1, really hope I ovulated early so I'm a teensy bit further along than that Grin

MyAmTrying · 03/10/2017 10:21

Hello! Please can I join? BFPs this morning, with tentative due date of 17/6/18, but DD (will be 3 in November) was over a month early so who knows?!

I’m feeling completely exhausted already, which is a pain, but I’m very excited! I feel like I need to post on here to avoid telling everyone I know!

Bunnyears85 · 03/10/2017 10:27

Good luck today @caspiana. I hop the interview goes well and you feel better soon!

I also hope that you all get a better night's sleep tonight! fx

I feel a bit sorry for DH, I've snapped at him a lot of the past few days! Oooops. Blame it on the hormones Grin

I've booked in for an early scan on October 31st - I'll be 9 weeks then. I had one at 9 weeks with DS and it was lovely as you could see his little arms and legs at that point! So cute.

I feel so guilty as we tried for 2 years with DS and we weren't actually tying for this one but so happy about it! But it feels sooo different this time around.

Bunnyears85 · 03/10/2017 10:28

Congratulations @myamtrying Easter Smile

LJFM2B · 03/10/2017 10:35

Congratulations MyAmTrying

I think the hormones are going to blamed for alot for a while now Bunnyears85 im finding myself getting irratable by smaller things and im usually very chilled out, luckily im aware of it and am trying to keep my mouth zipped up!! haha i dont want to become pregzilla .. im a bridal hair stylist and see too many brides turn into monsters!! I didnt do it with our wedding so i vow not to do it with this :l as hard as it may be.

Im struggling to hold out till lunch time recently! finding myself hungry more regular

Bunnyears85 · 03/10/2017 10:44

@LJFM2B I'm definitely snappier, it may be due to missing my evening after work glass of Wine Grin

Fwend · 03/10/2017 10:44

Hi all.

I'm in. Due date of 17th June and I'm throwing up already. Baby #3 and this one is a BIG surprise.

IrnBruCraver · 03/10/2017 10:46

I would speak to a dr about vitamins as sometimes you can be getting too much of something. My mum made herself ill taking vitamins she didn't really need. I just take folic acid.

As for wind I have noticed a lot more, and it's not burping Blush

IrnBruCraver · 03/10/2017 10:51

I love that mantra @Caspiana

SulkyPuddleDuck · 03/10/2017 10:56

Congratulations to all and hello to those I haven't said hi to :)

Argh I don't know if I'm going mad or if the bfp has subconsciously given me a white card to go symptom crazy but I'm acting like a nutter today. Freaked out this morning that the frer looked lighter than yesterday's and that I'm going to mc, have a filthy headache and just acted like a total cow to DP :( he sort of deserved it but nonetheless..

Going to be a long 8 weeks til that scan. How much does a private one cost? Feel like I'm already losing it!

pulpi · 03/10/2017 11:01

Just finished up at my first midwife appointment. Bloods, pee, all that jazz. And the really good news is that even though I had a 3rd degree tear last time, I might still be able to labour in a pool in the midwifery unit!

Anyone else here from Fife/Tayside?
