Ladies,

Welcome to thread 2 for babies due in May 2018.

Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

So currently up in hospital on a drip due to sickness. Got to see baby and heartbeat so that's something.

Poppy012 · 21/09/2017 12:38

Hope you are ok @binky
I don't have much in the way of symptoms and still spotting. I have my second scan at the epau tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

binkybunny · 21/09/2017 12:45

Seen the GP and she think I'm ok as in not ectopic and at the moment not emc as the bleeding is not too bad. I'm going for a scan on Saturday so hopefully we'll see a heartbeat. I've been told to rest and no more triathlon training and certainly no triathlon next weekend. I can start gentle exercise when the pain and bleeding stops. I may have just overdone it as I'm determined not to pile weight on this time!

CaptainsCat · 21/09/2017 12:59

Glad to hear that the GP was positive binky, now you have a good rest!

SquashyMummy · 21/09/2017 13:18

That's good to hear binky. Take their advice and rest up.

Hope the sickness passes hairgician.

cautiousoptimist1 · 21/09/2017 13:23

Good to hear that binky, is this your first baby? Do take their advice and listen to your body. I was also worried about weight gain too but in the end I lost all the weight without trying when breastfeeding so do see any gain as a temporary requirement for your baby.

Hairgician, that sounds awful, I hope the fluids are helping you feel a bit more normal. I don't know if you have HG but if so, there's a supportive HG thread on the pregnancy board.

I just want to share, you know how we all accept that we're going to feel dreadful and be sick a lot in the first trimester? I certainly did with my first.
Well, I've been really bad, particularly with constant crippling nausea but not so much of the dangerous and dehydrating vomiting. I rang my GP yesterday who was happy to prescribe some medication and today I feel like a completely different person! I'm so glad I can carry on with life again!
I'm 7 weeks, so didn't have to wait until either 12 weeks or I was on deaths door. Please do ask for help if you need it, we don't always have to suffer xxx

binkybunny · 21/09/2017 16:58

Hi ladies. Well I'm bowing out, I've bled heavily all afternoon and passed clots. I'll have a scan on Saturday still but I know there won't be anything left Sad Best of luck with your pregnancies x

AlexsMum89 · 21/09/2017 17:00

So sorry binkybunny Sad
Hairgician that sounds horrendous, I hope you can get some rest tonight and hopefully sent home with good meds tomorrow! Glad you've got something to help you manage it too Alexsmum.
I don't feel quite as nauseous as I did first time round, I'm wondering if it's because I'm only taking folic acid and vitamin d this time, my cousin had said Pregnacare (which I took when i was preg with my daughter) made her feel sick so I thought I'd go without it this time. I'm hypothyroid too and already increased my meds by 25mg daily like consultant told me to do last time (when I saw him at 12 weeks), so maybe that's helped too?

Californiadreaming15 · 21/09/2017 18:08

So sorry to hear this Binkybunny Flowers

Doublechocolatetiffin · 21/09/2017 18:30

I'm so sorry to hear that binky. Take care of yourself and rest. There is lots of support on the miscarriage topics and the TTC after pregnancy loss thread has lots of lovely and knowledgeable people who completely get the pain and loss of miscarriage.

PhoenixDown · 21/09/2017 18:45

So sorry to hear that @binkybunny 💐

MilfordFound · 21/09/2017 19:10

Sorry for what you're going through Binky what shit luck.

@Alexsmum89 What are you taking for sickness? I'm taking promethazine, it's stopping me from throwing up but I still feel sick all day. Its relentless and I'm miserable!

I'm going on holiday on Saturday and I'm bloody dreading it. Dreading the journey to the airport, dreading the airport and trying to entertain a toddler, dreading the flight out and again entertaining a probably screaming banshee toddler. Dreading the drive to the villa on the wrong side of the road. Might enjoy playing with the toddler in the pool, in between spending a nice relaxing week dreading the return journey.

We come back on Friday and then move house on the Monday so have to pack the whole house up.

All I want to do is be a slug and lie on the sofa eating crisps.

Lindyj0 · 21/09/2017 19:25

So sorry Binky, hope you are ok 💐

Hurraahhnaptime · 21/09/2017 19:36

Sorry Binky I really feel for you. Rest and take care of yourself xx

Hurraahhnaptime · 21/09/2017 19:38

MilfirdFound I'm moving house too next week. All I can say is 'aaaahhh'!. Saying that last pregnancy I moved at 39 weeks so this is properly organised of me 😂
