Ladies,

Welcome to thread 2 for babies due in May 2018.

Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

Woke up to some pink blood today - it wasn't a lot but it's sent me panicking...I'm 7+3 today just hope all is ok...have an early scan booked for Friday just hope everything is ok

PhoenixDown · 02/10/2017 09:10

some more red on wiping today, and pain. Got a bad feeling in my gut about it. Think this might be it.

smu06set · 02/10/2017 09:40

phoenix I'm sorry - can you get referred to epu? Flowers

PhoenixDown · 02/10/2017 10:11

Already been to epu on Thurs due to spotting - saw yolk sac but no baby, so either I was earlier than I thought or the growth had stopped. Looks like its the 2nd option :( they said if I start bleeding before my rescan I can stay home unless it's really bad. I'd rather just stay home tbh and wait. they said to still go back for scan even if I mc to check it's all gone. I've had a mc before and it feels just the same. Sad Sad stupidly got my hopes up thinking I must have ovulated late than I thought - just wishful thinking.

LadyPug · 02/10/2017 10:14

Oh Phoenix you poor thing! Take it easy and rest up. I had to see doctor today (not pregnancy related) but asked her about bleeding and she said bleeding in pregnancy is really common and not really discussed so it's not always bad. In saying that, I do tend to trust my instincts. Stay wrapped up and take care of yourself! 🌺

AlexsMum89 · 02/10/2017 10:20

Thinking of you phoenix, I hope you are wrong. In the best possible way xxx

PhoenixDown · 02/10/2017 10:31

Thanks ladies you are so kind. DP will hopefully be home soon. Just have to see if it gets heavier. Pretty sure it's happening though. Maybe getting pregnant as soon as coil came out was too soon? Who knows xx

timeisnotaline · 02/10/2017 11:00

Oh Phoenix hoping for the best still.
I'm sat at work just feeling miserable. Tomorrow I am taking sick, this is awful. I don't have my baby on board badge so asked a lady for the pregnant seat this morning and she and her companions had whispers and massive judgey faces.

Zoo33 · 02/10/2017 11:19

I'm so sorry to hear about the bleeding @Phoenix. Keeping everything crossed that you're wrong and that everything is okay. Xx

@Aggy Sorry to hear about your stop at Waterloo. That sounds more unpleasant than it needed to be - I always thought they charged so that it could be kept clean?! I never got to Waterloo this morning - we all got turfed off the train at Wimbledon so I had a painfully slow journey to work via the District line.

For those that have baby on board badges, when did you get them? I'd feel like a fraud wearing one at the moment as I feel relatively okay other than being exhausted, but I'm curious.

LadyPug · 02/10/2017 11:22

Don't worry about their judging time just take care of yourself! You need as much rest as possible!

PhoenixDown · 02/10/2017 11:43

Few small clots now, this is it I think. I'll be going for my rescan a week on Thurs but I doubt it'll be good news. I'll take a break from the thread for now. DP home now so will have a nice lazy day.

Wishing you ladies all the love and good luck in the world and thanks for all the support Flowers

LadyPug · 02/10/2017 11:55

Lorz80 · 02/10/2017 12:09

Take care @PhoenixDown

MotherOfBoy · 02/10/2017 12:18

Sorry I’ve been gone for ages ladies finding it hard to keep up.

So sorry to hear your sad news phoenix, look after yourself. The world can be a v cruel place.

Ah aggy I feel your pain!! I was in London last week with work, nearly passed out/threw up simultaneously on the tube. It was so hot as well. I must have looked like death but no one offered me their seat.

Ordered my baby on board badge soon as I got back from London last week, it came at the weekend. I will def be wearing it as it’s the feeling faint/sick that means I could do with a seat. So bloated anyway could def pass for about 16 weeks!

Feeling really quite nauseous today I am fed up of it tbh. Struggling at work too as have to keep eating. Luckily not put on any weight yet tho only a matter of time when I am shovelling crisps...!

Got a few maternity bits at weekend as work clothes tight. They are maternity/nursing so look ok without a bump and should last. Feels weird to wear them as am only 7+4 but the bloating is unreal second time round!

Will try and keep up this time!

Aggy106 · 02/10/2017 13:24

Thinking of you Phoenix and hope you're being well looked after. So sorry you're going through this.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 02/10/2017 14:49

zoo I think I ordered mine fairly early, but then wimped out of wearing it until quite late and it was blatantly obvious I was pregnant. Tbh, I needed it more in my first trimester when I was so tired

pinkcarpet · 02/10/2017 15:32

Hi all wondering if I can join - bit late to the party as found out a couple of weeks ago but have been so busy with work I've only just got round to phoning the midwife!

To introduce myself properly - due date 12th May. This will be DC2, DD is 3.5. BFP was very unexpected but a good surprise, although not sure how it will go down when I tell work as I'm just about to start a new job! Have been feeling nauseous all the time but not actually sick yet, and can only eat plain foods which I never got with my first pregnancy and is really annoying.

Seems like this is a really active thread so looking forward to sharing the journey with some other May bumps!

LadyPug · 02/10/2017 15:49

Welcome PinkCarpet and congrats on your bfp. We're a great bunch in here so you should feel right at home!

RedPanda25 · 02/10/2017 16:00

So sorry @PhoenixDown, sending lots of love. Please look after yourself.

Welcome @pinkcarpet! We're a lovely bunch here who love a good chatter Smile

Is anyone else feeling completely useless? I feel like I can't get much done at all due to feeling so nauseous and tired. Cannot wait for the second trimester!

LadyPug · 02/10/2017 16:03

Yes RedPanda feel so useless, not coping with life! Have been in bed most of the day! Back to work tomorrow and juggling a crazy toddler!

pinkcarpet · 02/10/2017 16:20

Thanks! DH and I have agreed we're not telling any family till after 1st scan and its driving me a bit nuts not being able to talk to other people when I feel terrible all the time.

RedPanda I feel so so tired. We had inlaws visiting at the weekend and I had to force myself to entertain them when all I wanted to do was go for a nap. fell asleep on the sofa last night at 9pm

cautiousoptimist1 · 02/10/2017 16:50

So sorry phoenix, please look after yourself.

Welcome pinkcarpet, we are a very active supportive group!

redpanda, yes useless here too. I've been making a lasagne this afternoon and am now completely wiped out! I have back pain today too which is annoying.

I think I'm going to tell my Mum tomorrow. I think I've said before that I'm a bit worried about reactions (although that's completely irrational!). She will be the first person we've told so I'm not sure whether to keep it quiet for a little longer.

smu06set · 02/10/2017 17:08

Hi pinkcarpet it is a lovely group this one!

I told my MIL at 5 weeks as I knew she would be over the moon and she really needed a boost. Haven't told anyone else and I'm 7+3 now, we have an early scan booked Friday so if that is ok we will probably tell my parents. Everyone else can wait until 12 weeks!

Rubyshoes2 · 02/10/2017 17:31

So sorry Phoenix. Take care of yourself. Flowers

Welcome pinkcarpet. We are due the same day!

We have told parents, but I'm not sure it was the best idea. It has somehow added to the pressure. I thought it would be nice having someone other than the husband to talk to about it but it's just extra people on tenterhooks.

I'm 8+2. Really feeling the tiredness and feel a little bit nauseous all day long. Haven't been sick though. Boob pain is pretty much a constant and the new one over the last few days is a complete loss of tolerance for anyone and anything!
