Ladies,

Welcome to thread 2 for babies due in May 2018.

Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

Glad all went well ladypug Smile

My scan also went well, baby is measuring just over 6 weeks and I'm 6+4 and they saw a heartbeat. No obvious place for the spotting to come from but likely implantation. I'm so relieved and all of the staff were lovely.

So glad to hear your news ladypug 😊 My sickness has kicked in too. Feel so rough right now 🤢

nancynoo definitely wouldn't hurt to phone and check. I've had shabby pains but they're short lived and haven't kept me awake.

dorotha i'm the opposite and freezing cold most of the time. But I have underactive thyroid so wondering if it's pregnancy sending that a bit haywire. Seeing doc tomorrow so I can ask.

Yes to maternity wear! I can't cope with my tight trousers!

Lindyj0 · 27/09/2017 15:45

Bad news here, I’m bleeding and just passed a big clot. Spoke to the midwife and she’s booked me in for a scan at midday tomorrow. The cramping has been very painful but has calmed down now I’ve popped some paracetamol. My Mum just called for a girly pregnancy chat and I had to tell her I think I’m miscarrying. I hope not but realistically it feels like I am 😞💔

Doublechocolatetiffin · 27/09/2017 15:48

I'm glad the scans have gone well this morning @ladypug and @cautiousoptimist1 I'm so pleased for you both.

Welcome @motherofpuppies Smile

Maybe I'll dig out some of my maternity stuff, I hid them somewhere after my miscarriage. Feeling pretty bloated and uncomfortable in jeans though (even my bigger sized ones)

@ladydolly - it's been 2 years for me and my pregnancy belly doesn't appear to have gone anywhere Blush

Doublechocolatetiffin · 27/09/2017 15:49

Oh no @Lindyj0 I've just seen your post. I hope you get some answers soon.

LadyPug · 27/09/2017 17:21

Glad all went well cautious Might have spoken too soon here! Blood is now coming out a bit more and is red :-( midwife said just wait and see, nothing I can do. Got to trust fate I guess.

Sorry to read your update Lindy hope you're ok!

Poppy012 · 27/09/2017 17:37

Sorry to hear that @lindy
@lady pug hope you are ok, was it an internal scan or abdominal, sometimes an internal can aggravate things?

Whatamuddleduck · 27/09/2017 17:39

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the clothes issue! That's it I'm buying some comfortable clothes! I'm going to have a good eBay browse this evening.

Fingers crossed for those experiencing bleeds .

cautiousoptimist1 · 27/09/2017 18:02

Oh gosh ladypug and lindy, keeping everything crossed for both of you.

LadyPug · 27/09/2017 18:06

Hey poppy yes internal and I thought that might be the case but midwife said she didn't think so :-(

Kirstipops · 27/09/2017 18:28

Lindy I'm sorry, hope tomorrow comes in fast for you.

Ladypug considering I managed to cough violently enough to cause spotting I would have thought a dildocam could defo manage it? Crossing my fingers for you, and for the other worried ladies here FlowersBrewBiscuit

LadyPug · 27/09/2017 18:36

Thank you kirsty

Lorz80 · 27/09/2017 19:27

Hi all

Can I join you on here and on Facebook? I think I'm due 29 May.

Lorz80

Kirstipops · 27/09/2017 21:30

Hi Lorz! Welcome Brew!

I really want to buy some new smart boots for work for autumn/winter but scared my feet will swell up like big hams like last time and I won't be able to wear them!Confused

Doublechocolatetiffin · 27/09/2017 21:53

Hi @Lorz80, send me a PM with your email and I can email you an invitation to join the Facebook group (it's a secret group).

@ladypug I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that all is ok.

LadyPug · 27/09/2017 21:55

Thank you tiffin

mumallgirls · 27/09/2017 22:03

Sending best wishes to everyone who is going through worrying times.

I have horrible back pain and had some bleeding earlier. I am full of energy and have lost any pregnancy symptoms. Not feeling very positive at the moment.

timeisnotaline · 27/09/2017 22:11

How are you all going to work? I'm sure I'm feeling only mildly ill at the moment and the thought of work over the next couple of weeks is miserable... I'm trying to put myself in for a nightshift roster week after next so I can work from home - there are cons of course Grin

Rubyshoes2 · 27/09/2017 22:29

Hi everyone. Please can I join you?

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks too afraid to join as struggling to believe it's real! Went for an early scan this week as part of an IVF package so it's now starting to sink in. I'm due on the 12th of May.

Sorry to hear so many are having spotting issues. Fingers crossed for you all.

PhoenixDown · 27/09/2017 22:32

Thinking of you all Ladypug, mumallgirls and Lindy Flowers got fingers, toes and anything else crossed xx

RedPanda25 · 27/09/2017 22:57

Thinking of you @LadyPug and @Lindyj0. Really sorry you're both going through this uncertainty. Sending big hugs to you both.

I just have no energy at the moment at all. I work 2 days a week from home and have a really busy day tomorrow with lots of work on so won't even be able to have downtime whilst my DS is at nursery. How's everyone else doing?

cautiousoptimist1 · 27/09/2017 23:26

Welcome lorz and rubyshoes.

This stage is really difficult for going to work. The tiredness is awful and any nausea at work can be debilitating. I found grazing at my lunch for the whole day helped combat the sickness - I didn't eat much more than normal but spread it out over the day. Remember to keep fluids up too! This time around I'm a SAHM to a very active (and teething) toddler who wants whatever I eat so it's much harder to graze! Sleep is difficult too as whenever I try and get an early night, she wakes up and is then awake for ages (almost an hour so far tonight!).

Welcome newbies! Congrstulations!
And Flowers to those having spotting and awaiting scans.
So hopefully getting out today! Been in hospital since sun night. Feeling so much better now ive got the sickness under control! For those of you suffering with HG and not already doing it a combination of meds is the way to go! Currently alternating ondansestron and cyclizine every 4 hours.
Ive also asked for a laxative and some lactulose cos not had a poo since at least Friday!!Shock so there may be another live 'birth' thread Grin
SIL brought me in choc and big bag of hard mints and 4 pack of mint mentos last night and they are fucking ace for that awful taste in your mouth! Bit paranoid also that my breath must have been rank and that's why she got them Blush

Noredwine · 28/09/2017 08:40

Welcome newbies! Sorry I haven't been on thread for a while - work has been manic. To be honest as all my symptoms went before my early scan at 7.5 weeks (baby fine lovely heartbeat at the time) I am still really worried that baby is not there anymore although not had any spotting or discharge - am I just being overly pessimistic? Suppose I should feel lucky to not have bad symptoms but just wish I did to reassure me that still actually pregnant! Had first midwife appointment on Monday - loads of health questions and bloods taken. Glad I didn't take hubbie as would have been bored silly.

cautiousoptimist1 · 28/09/2017 08:56

noredwine, some people do get very few symptoms so I would say enjoy it while you can.

My booking in appointment with the midwife will be when I'm nearly 10 weeks and she'll book the 12 week scan which seems very late! I'm sure if that's the process then it'll work and we could pay for a private scan of the appointment was too late but it seems late! I was with a different doctors surgery last time but they definitely referred me for a scan after my first appointment with the GP, I had my scan date by the time I went for booking in.
