I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Bluee I would not worry about the test, you might just be a little less pregnant than you thought.
That's what happened with me, it said 2-3 weeks with the first one and 10 days later still the same. I had a private scan which put me at 6 weeks instead of the 8 I thought I was.

Still nauseous here...

Flatwhite31 · 15/07/2017 11:38

Bonjour from Paris!

I'm on the Orangina! Grin

We went to a family bbq when I was in the early stages of pregnancy with DD. Apparently loads of people guessed cos I suck at lying and am well known for enjoying a drink Grin Fortunately they all had enough tact to not spread the news, or to let me know that they knew. I think most people understand that you don't want everyone to know straight away.

Doublegloucester · 15/07/2017 11:56

Bonjour, flatwhite!

Thinking of you Dancingunicorn and hoping all is well.

Nausea on a motorway here :-s

DancingUnicorn · 15/07/2017 12:03

Meant to say bluee the digital weeks tests are pretty unreliable I believe. Try not to let it panic you, though I know that's easier said than done.

Thanks DG. I hope the nausea eases for you. Motorway journeys are not fun at the best of times!!

A little more brown spotting here. I know it can be normal, I'm hoping that it is. Still pretty scary though.

Pinky333777 · 15/07/2017 12:13

I keep worrying about potential mc, or things going wrong.
I have to remind myself what will be will be and things happen for a reason. Usually for the best, long term.
No point worrying over what ifs
Try to enjoy and focus on the now Smile

mamasiz · 15/07/2017 15:16

Oh the nausea! Seems like I get a brief reprieve about 11am, then it's back on until late afternoon. Naughty baby!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 15/07/2017 16:29

orange see i would think that but i dont know how much less pregant i could be as i had a postive hpt at 9dpo lol which is pretty early. I'll try not worry thanks girls xx
flatwhite bonjour! 🤗

Excited1103 · 15/07/2017 16:37

Brown means dried up @DancingUnicorn, hopefully that means you had a tiny silly bleed that didn't affect the baby at all. Which would be helpful, because people's fingers will be aching from being crossed for so long!

Flatwhite31 · 15/07/2017 16:40

@Pinky333777 it's hard not to think about the potential for mc at this stage, but as you said, just take each day as it comes.
@DancingUnicorn Have you had any cramping today? Hope you're feeling ok.
I'm off to see Coldplay tonight! Really looking forward to it.

SophSoph92 · 15/07/2017 16:53

Has anyone else had tiny pinching pains on one side of stomach? No bleeding and the pain isn't intense or lasting (it lasts less than a second and whilst I can feel it it's like the level of pain where someone pinches the back of your arm), but I'm just wondering if I'm the only one or if others have experience this too? Im 4+3. I don't have a midwife appt until the 25th when I'll be 6 weeks, so want to see the general consensus on phoning a Dr? Of course MC and ectopic are going through my head... I bloody hate all this worrying 😞😞😞😞

stumblymonkeyagain · 15/07/2017 16:57

@BlueeSpottyTiger

Step away from the tests!!!

I've also heard that CB can sometimes be unreliable. I read a post recently where the CB was saying the HCG levels hadn't gone up and then that person had had a blood test at the GP and their test showed really high levels.

Time to stop peeing on sticks!

You are pregnant, they won't help reassure you any more. Step away!

stumblymonkeyagain · 15/07/2017 17:00

@SophSoph92

I've had stomach pains too...I believe as long as they're not too intense and they're not long lasting it's nothing to worry about. Apparently it's ligaments:

"Causes of cramping during pregnancy. Crampingtypically occurs when the uterus expands, causing the ligaments and muscles that support it to stretch. It may be more noticeable when you sneeze, cough, or change positions"

So worth mentioning to your midwife when you see her just to put your mind at rest but don't worry...

ZylaB · 15/07/2017 17:05

Yes sophsoph and it's agony if I sneeze! Just things stretching :)

I am off meat and salad, this isn't going to go well for my weight is it lol?

Jacqueje · 15/07/2017 17:31

Same here with the side pain, intermittent pain which tends to be on one side and then the other. I think for me it's a combination of things stretching and also bit of trapped wind (ahem). Anyone else having bad bloating? Today it's so bad I look 4 months not 4 weeks!

Sallywiththegoodhurr · 15/07/2017 17:43

@Jacqueje my bloating has been ridiculous too! It's okay today luckily but the past few days I've felt like I'd swallowed a gallon of air (and looked like it too!)

Excited1103 · 15/07/2017 18:20

I've been ridiculously bloated the last few weeks too, I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow/ Monday and no sign of it going down. My partner was helpfully tapping my stomach saying "That baby's growing SO fast!" and then called it a beer belly. My digestive system obliged by giving him the audible response he deserved.

SheSaidHeSaid · 15/07/2017 18:24

Jacqueje I was horrendously bloated for a few days last week but seem a little less bloated today thankfully, I really did look very pregnant at one point.

I've spent almost all afternoon asleep. It's like I've been fighting the tiredness during the week and I'm letting it take over now.

SophSoph92 · 15/07/2017 18:35

If I cook chorizo can I eat it?!

DancingUnicorn · 15/07/2017 18:39

I think so, yes. (I would!)

FresasAndFrambuesas · 15/07/2017 18:47

soph you can eat chorizo properly cooked, or if you freeze it for at least 4 days first (according to the nhs advice).

SS81C · 15/07/2017 18:47

I'm fairly sure you can (I have). NHS website advises against eating cold cured meats and just talks about cooking meats thoroughly.

FresasAndFrambuesas · 15/07/2017 18:49

I live in Spain, cured meats make up a large party of my diet Wink

I think I was rumbled by a friend at a dinner party yesterday after I wanted my steak well done, and wasn't drinking (despite getting dh to drink my wine when no one was looking!) She didn't say anything but I think she suspects

SS81C · 15/07/2017 18:51

@shesaid I feel like I've been pretty much asleep since I finished nights on Thursday morning. I'd been feeling a bit smug last week as I hadn't been that tired but BAM has it hit me this week.....
I'm also ridiculously bloated and already feeling constipated (Sorry tmi) stocking up on prunes! Haha!
Think we are going to tell my partners parents tomorrow, we live near them and I'm so exhausted that I'm hoping they will help out with the toddler a bit if they know.....im feeling like an awful parent this weekend because I can barely summon the energy to get off the sofa....no idea how I'm going to cope next week when OH is on nights

SophSoph92 · 15/07/2017 18:56

Thanks ladies! Xxx
