On my own, gp reception called and the Dr will phone me and talk to me when she has a break between patients and decide if we need to do anything.

8 weeks 3 days, only had a scan (private) Saturday and all seemed ok.
The EPU isn't accessible unless through a referral and midwifery department said about going to gp.
Guess prengancy isn't just about the physical changes but the mental stress and panic and over analysing anything.

Brens13 · 08/05/2017 09:57

Lola I hope everything is ok Flowers

*Zaberwocky congratulations!! Excellent news Smile

Carley27 · 08/05/2017 10:01

Just had my scan and baby is fine :) measuring around 7 weeks so bang on, and we saw the heartbeat. So relieved after the bleeding but my god the scan was nerve wracking!

zaber great news about the job! Grin

Oh bluebell I hope you feel better soon and work goes quickly for you today.

Carley27 · 08/05/2017 10:04

Sorry took so long to post I missed your post Lola

I've just gone through the same thing and I know it's terrifying but try not to panic.

If you have an EPU in your area I would contact them asap Flowers
Are you having any pain/cramps?

Lolabee · 08/05/2017 10:25

Had cramps first thing but nothing strange iykwim. Dr just phoned and she is trying to get me into the EPU and will phone back within the hour

Carley27 · 08/05/2017 10:30

Ah that's good they're trying to get you into EPU, hope they get back to you soon x

Lolabee · 08/05/2017 10:52

Going to EPU as soon as taxi is here. Dr didn't want me to drive so will be on way soon. Thanks for keeping me company xx

Positive thoughts please xx

fishfingerSarnies · 08/05/2017 11:02

Fingers crossed Lolabee! So stressful for you I'm sure.

I spent yesterday on the sofa after vomiting in the morning, it seems a lot better today and have managed a little trip to the park but now I'm home and fireman Sam is helping babysit my son while I sip water on the sofa with a bowl close by just in case.

MaryShelley1818 · 08/05/2017 11:03

Well done on the job Zaberwocky!!

Fingers crossed for you Lola, hope you get seen quickly xx

Thank you for the Happy Birthday's! I've had such a lovely week and as an added bonus I'm not back to work until tomorrow 😊 Xx

Queen0ffaff · 08/05/2017 11:10

Thinking of you Lola, sending positive thoughts. There's every chance it's just normal and all is fine. Glad you're being seen soon.

Carley27 · 08/05/2017 11:13

Fingers crossed for you Lola, hope all goes well.

Oysterbabe · 08/05/2017 11:21

Good luck Lola, I really hope all is ok Flowers🤞

derryjojo · 08/05/2017 11:31

Good luck Lola 🤞

Zaberwocky · 08/05/2017 11:41

Lola you'll be in the best place! We're all here if you need us. Flowers

Thank you everyone Smile I've been to the doctors too, I've been sent home to do a urine sample so they can look at that before prescribing anything else!

macsworth · 08/05/2017 11:57

Congratulations zaber. Brilliant news.

And great for you too Carley

Got fingers crossed lola. Really good that they're seeing you so soon.

fishfingerSarnies · 08/05/2017 12:06

Well done on the job Zaber! Why did you get sent home to do a urine sample? Can't you do one there?

Zaberwocky · 08/05/2017 13:05

I couldn't do one 😂 I'd been before I went to the doctors, like an idiot! I do only live two minutes away though, so hardly a hardship. I've sent DH back to return it.

Foxglove88 · 08/05/2017 13:13

Sorry about the bleeding Lola. I don't know what to say, other than so many other women have had bleeding and have been fine, so try not to panic.

zaberwocky and Beardy, RE the sickness, I feel you. It's so debilitating. When mine was at its worst a week ago I found myself thinking "what have I done!!!", I just wanted it over with. Mine has got better so there is hope!
Congratulations on the job Zaberwocky! I'll be starting to work at a new place on a temp basis in a month or so.

Mrsblue I am also eating eating eating to stave off the sickness. (Hopefully!) It won't last forever. I'm just doing what I need to do to get through the day.

Mrsbluebell17 · 08/05/2017 13:54

Thinking of you Lola!

Well done Zaber! Great work on the new job!

Great news re the scan Carley.

Fox I know I'm trying my hardest to eat some stuff that is good for me too but I mainly want beige carbs. I have to take some peace in feeling exhausted (it's far more than just being tired from USA last week) and also feeling a bit sick if I don't eat for a while - as at least I've got some symptoms. Thankfully I've not actually been sick yet, hoping I will get away with that. Very nervous about it. I'm 8+4 today.

So nervous about our rescan on Sunday, to see what they say about whether it's twins or not Hmm trying not to get my hopes up just incase but twins would be awesome!

TootsyBella84 · 08/05/2017 14:04

Hi ladies. So many posts since I was last on! Quick update from me then I will have a proper read back! X

I'm having a bloody awful time at the minute, as you know I had my early scan last Tuesday and all was good, I had light brown spotting but there was no concern with scan. Then my sickness took an almighty high and I ended up at OOH on Saturday and prescribed cyclizine to try and control the sickness. Seems to be working well and I'm only sick a few times a day now. Brown spotting continued then this morning I woke up to lots of brown then black stringy clots when I wipe. I called EPU and they are completely mobbed today and can't squeeze me in so I'm in there tomorrow first thing in the morning. So, so stressed out, please keep your fingers crossed for me. I've been crying most of the morning because it's all such a head f*!!

Right, going to read back and catch up with you all now x

TootsyBella84 · 08/05/2017 14:11

Lovely to see all these milestones being hit, can't believe some of you are 10 weeks already! It sounds much more official at double figures.

Well done on the job Zaber

Lola I know exactly how you feel right now and keeping my fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on xx

leighdinglady · 08/05/2017 14:34

Thinking of you both Lola and Tootsy. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you both. Hopefully it's nothing

Brens13 · 08/05/2017 14:39

Fingers crossed for you Tootsy Flowers

Zaberwocky · 08/05/2017 14:41

Right.

How is everyone's bra situation!? I refuse to buy a maternity bra, but I'm now overspilling in a erm, interesting way Blush

Any news Lola?

Oh Tootsy Sad I have everything crossed for you.

ExPresidents · 08/05/2017 14:46

Just catching up on the end of last thread and start of this, what a chatty bunch Smile

zaberwocky I think it was you that said you were craving strawberry laces - I literally went through packets of them weekly with my first DC, and am craving them again this time, they gave me the WORST heartburn last time but I couldn't stop eating them. I wonder what it is?!
