Lol I'm pleased I'm not the only one probably spending far too much time on here.

Go wherever you might be comfy Zaber. I seriously considered a nap in the toilets one day last week lol.

Not long to go now then mac, I bet you can't wait now it's so close.

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 10:22

Well the toilet is a new level of disgusting. So I won't be napping in there.

I must say I'm tempted to just go home. I feel horrendous.

Peachi82 · 15/05/2017 10:34

Feeling absolutely shattered today... Headache and nauseated. Just eating some breakfast biscuits, they normally help a lot and keep me going.

I just want to go back to my bed 😢

MontyPants · 15/05/2017 10:46

Sorry to hear about those still feeling nauseous. Mine seems to have gone, but I'm still getting dizzy spells every time I stand up. And I've never slept so much in my life. Growing a baby is hard.

I'm 11 weeks today and just waiting for a letter with my scan date, but I'm thinking it will be delayed due to all the bother with the NHS computers....

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 10:48

Monty I was thinking the same! I'm due a repeat scan next week but haven't had my letter yet.

I'm glad your nausea is clearing up Smile I was sick a few minutes ago. Was entirely fruit. Beyond gross.

Annie1290 · 15/05/2017 11:02

Another one here debating whether to go home and back to bed as feeling horrific. Feel worse every time I come into work tbh so thinking of getting signed off for a little while. I do long shifts and even the thought of them makes me feel ill atm.

CarlottaJo · 15/05/2017 11:07

@Annie1290 shift work is hard at the best of times, it's bloody awful at the moment, right there with you! I get goosebumps at the thought of my 3 nights ahead Sad

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 11:16

Annie honestly I wouldn't blame you. I'm fine when I'm looking down, but the second I look up the lights and screens the nausea instantly flares up. Along with headache and back ache Grin

I'd go see your GP or MW. Get signed off for a couple of weeks just so you can get over the worst of it.

Annie1290 · 15/05/2017 11:23

Think I might. My head says don't be a pansy you're pregnant not ill but my body says you're dying. Very emotional today which doesn't help. Haven't actually seen my midwife yet, had booking in when admitted to hospital and then answerphone from midwife saying she didn't need to see me till 16 weeks. Can't wait for my scan 2 weeks tomorrow cos it still doesn't feel real despite the sickness.

DH doesn't understand that because I'm not being sick I'm not better, doesn't get that I still feel awful. Ugh. What a moaner I am.

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 11:46

Annie several very wise people on here have said to me, you don't get a medal for working through it. Some days I think it's better to just give in, and rest. Or you end up in a vicious cycle where you're constantly feeling ill and exhausted.

MummyHenman2be · 15/05/2017 12:30

Anyone else get pain when they sneeze?? Is it ligament pain?

LapinR0se · 15/05/2017 12:34

Yes I get a pain when I sneeze, I guess it is ligaments

StumpyScot92 · 15/05/2017 12:45

I get pain when I cough or sneeze almost like a cramp feeling? However I had pneumonia a few weeks ago which led to a cracked rib all while pregnant and I basically hurt whenever I do anything haha

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 13:19

I'd love to say yes, but I can't remember the last time I sneezed! It hurts when I pee though, my bladder is sympathetic.

Scots I hope you're remaining locked away in a very sterile and well padded room for the rest of your pregnancy! I can't imagine how you managed to cope with that, it must have been agony.

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 13:20

I need to drag myself and my passport over to my new job today 😪 Not looking forward to the bus ride. Still way too spaced out to drive.

TipTop333 · 15/05/2017 13:40

Ligament pain! Some worse than others, some times it feels like my muscles have been ripped open!

StumpyScot92 · 15/05/2017 14:16

Zaber Unfortunately not, I'm in work surrounded by people with the cold so I'm constantly washing my hands haha. I've still not quite stopped coughing from the pneumonia I have a good few coughing fits first thing in the morning.

Also morning sickness with the cracked rib was hellish thankfully its more of a dull pain now than a "shit I can't breath - I'm being stabbed!" like it was at first

Sereniela · 15/05/2017 15:12

I'm also getting pain when i sneeze... it's much like the pain i used to get from excessive hangover vomiting around the rib area, and a slight pressure around my stomach Blush

10+5 and the nausea seems to have disappeared today - coincidentally since i've finished taking the Pregnacare sample the MW gave me and am back on the Tesco own brand Folic and Vit D since yesterday... I had some horrendous days last week, and hoping it's not due to Pregnacare as i bought a 90 days supply!
Might try alternating them in a few weeks time Hmm

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/05/2017 15:23

Early scan tomorrow at 9. Anxiety currently sky high. Day off and husband working later.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/05/2017 15:23

CarlottaJo · 15/05/2017 15:41

I went out for lunch, just been sick:( going to bed for a bit see if it helps but currently feel like I have the room spin after too much wine (note without any wine) x

TootsyBella84 · 15/05/2017 16:07

You lot sure can chat!
I'm just suffering in silence for now, mainly hiding away and feeling sorry for myself. I need to go and pick up my next prescription of cyclizine later. They seem to be working, well they are letting me eat and drink even though I still feel hellish so I'm definitely winning compared to being pg with my youngest when I suffered HG.
I have the midwife again on Thursday for bloods etc, booked it for 9.15 so eldest would be at school and youngest at nursery but now realised it's an in-service day and school is shut - duh! Hmm
I'm waiting on my scan date coming through too, I hope all the NHS hacking mayhem doesn't put it on hold.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Donna I was so nervous before mine too x

StumpyScot92 · 15/05/2017 16:14

How do you all cope with morning noon and night sickness while working? I have good days where I'm never sick and just have spells of nausea and then days like today where I have done absolutely nothing at work because I've been too busy being sick all day. I feel absolutely useless but I don't want to take time off sick as I already had 2 weeks off with pneumonia (was actually ill for 3 but one week I had booked as holiday anyway) last month.

I'm not HG levels of morning sickness, just having bad days.

Peachi82 · 15/05/2017 16:43

Just puked on the toilet in work 😷
15 minutes to go and I can drive home.

Zaberwocky · 15/05/2017 17:50

Honestly Stumpy I'm not! The avomine makes it bearable, but I'm completely ineffective day to day. Really struggling to keep on top of cleaning, working, and studying and volunteering have just taken a complete back seat.

I think the best thing you can do is stay hydrated, eat what you can and try to forgive yourself on bad days. No sense in beating yourself up over it. Plus you've been incredibly ill!

If you're struggling, there's no harm in having a chat with your GP to see if they'll prescribe something to make it a bit more tolerable.
