I've got a Toyota yaris, so the boot isn't huge.. we are currently considering the silver cross surf (small shopping basket) and the icandy peach all terrain (£££) which would serve as joggers as well as an every day travel system - both are light and seem to pack away small but I haven't played with either. We are trying to decide if we even want to spend as much as the icandy requires!!

glastogal · 14/05/2017 18:02

That's a pretty design Carlotta!! I really need something that will off-road for dog walking etc and ideally be good for jogging too.

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 18:02

My friend had an icandy @glastogal and said it went really rusty. I really must look at other options, I just really love a pattern!

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 18:03

@Zaberwocky I'm so impressed with your running, there's a girl on my FB who buggy runs, I totally want to be like her when I grow up!

glastogal · 14/05/2017 18:04

Ooh.. I will check the reviews for rusting then, thanks for the heads up. That would annoy me intensely!!

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 18:04

Ahhh @glastogal you too, why am I so bad at life? Haha x

Zaberwocky · 14/05/2017 18:12

Carlotta I'm optimistic! I've totally given up on running at the moment, along with any other exercise. I'm finding it really hard to get my head around, but I just don't have the energy. And can't risk moving my head too much!

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 18:17

Oh bless you @Zaberwocky, I know how you feel re: energy, I went walking to the beach with my friends and their pups today, feel like I've indulged in some extreme sport! Currently horizontal on the sofa Blush

LapinR0se · 14/05/2017 18:17

For buggies, we have a bugaboo chameleon that was great for the first 18 months then we switched to a super lightweight maclaren xt techno. We still use the bugaboo for longer walks or if we want DD to have a nap (she is 2.5). It has absolutely rubbish basket space for shopping, that's the only drawback I can think of really.
The maclaren is ideal for nursery runs and airports.

glastogal · 14/05/2017 18:27

I haven't run for ages either zaber - had to give up for IVF then kept being told to wait till the 2nd trimester, so I'm hoping to get back out there soon!!

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 18:37

Everyone seems to rave about the bugaboos xxx

Royalsteph · 14/05/2017 19:09

I have had a cosatto giggle for my 2 yr old from birth. I absolutely love it. It's battered and bruised but has seen us through lots of terrains. Sand, gravel, road, cobble, grass.....
It has a big basket and bright colours. It wasn't too expensive so probably going to get another one for this baby

fishfingerSarnies · 14/05/2017 19:29

I think mountain buggy has one that you can change the wheels for running wheels and smaller wheels for day to day. It might not be out yet though.

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 19:50

@Royalsteph I love the Cosattos x

Mrsbluebell17 · 14/05/2017 19:54

Thanks for all of your lovely messages. We are really happy to see all is as expected with our little baby. Was amazing to see arms and legs today compared to just a blurry blob two weeks ago.

Loving all the pram talk! Would anyone consider getting a second hand pram? I think we might from SIL so we know it's been looked after but save some £££.

CarlottaJo · 14/05/2017 20:03

Definitely @Mrsbluebell17, the one I really fancy is hard to come by but easy to get pre loved. Not adverse at all! X

glastogal · 14/05/2017 20:14

I'm not against the idea of a second hand one at all.. I would just buy a new mattress for the carrycot. Might have to do that if I decide the icandy is a must have, as I definitely can't afford it new!!

Mrsbluebell17 · 14/05/2017 20:16

That's my thoughts exactly glasto.
Glad that you and Carlotta agree.

MontyPants · 14/05/2017 21:26

I think I'll buy a new pram as I love the prints that Cossatto do, and I don't know anyone who is selling one. But I've already got a second-hand cot. It was bought by a friend's mum, and only used a handful of times when grand-baby came to visit. So it's in perfect condition, just need to buy a new mattress. I'm definitely not above getting second-hand things. I don't like waste 🙂

Lixon · 14/05/2017 21:30

Congratulations on your scan mrsbluebell- must be a bit strange to have it confirmed as a single pregnancy but wonderful that all looks well and at least you didn't have to wait until 12 weeks.

I'm already starting to panic about our harmony scan/test in friday.. 😐

Royalsteph · 14/05/2017 21:44

We're getting second hand everything except pram. Keeping an eye out for bargains and will start buying after the 12 weeks scan. Love the cosatto designs, can't wait to see what new ones they have since ds was born.

mamalovesviolet · 14/05/2017 22:28

Oooh I like a good pram talk. I have 3. My mamas and papas travel system one, my out n about running one and my mclaren techno lightweight.

But I think I need another as I would like to be able to push the two of them when DD1 would like a nap and on the nursery run. But I'll probably definitely be buying it second hand. My DH liked the uppababy vista when we were looking two years ago but I poo pooed it. Thinking it would have been a good purchase now as it can carry two. Doh!

Southy84 · 14/05/2017 22:32

Great news on your scan mrsbluebell really pleased everything is ok with your little bean Smile

I think we are going to have to buy a new pushchair as dd is a year and kind of wishing we'd invested in something that could have had the option of becoming a double Hmm hindsight is a great thing!

LapinR0se · 15/05/2017 06:20

First day back to work today after almost two weeks off sick with bronchitis. I really don't want to go as I am struggling so badly with the nausea Sad

Oysterbabe · 15/05/2017 06:59

With have a cosatto Ooba and I love it. I'm really hoping I can manage without having to trade it in for a double. Planning on having baby in a sling and 2 year old in the buggy for as long as possible then I'll see if I can persuade 2 year old into using a buggy board. We'll see, I might be ordering a double straight away.
I don't plan on buying anything new before this one comes. We didn't find out the sex last time either so have plenty of neutral newborn stuff.
