I know, Southy. Can't wait. But so nervous.

Angielka · 12/05/2017 22:13

I had two Southy but 6 and 4 years ago. When was yours? I haven't had twinges but kind of fluttery feelings round there if that makes any sense Confused

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 22:13

Feeling really lonely tonight. Not sure what time DH is coming home. He doesn't go out all that often so don't want to hurry him home, but I hate being on my own - I'm a wuss. Lying in bed now and can't stop over thinking things.

I just thought I'd had a great idea to use some mouth wash to try and kill off any bacteria in my throats and mouth that's causing my sore throat. Obviously I spat it out but now I'm panicking that the remnants will harm the baby/babies? ConfusedBlushShock

Lolabee · 12/05/2017 22:22

If it makes you feel any better MrsB 2 weeks before we found out I am pg I had been on holiday drinking around 4 units of alcohol a day.......... Mouthwash can't be worse that that Blush

My OH is out tonight for a friend's birthday (I swear each friend has 4 birthdays a year!) And I'm at home with DD (from previous relationship) who is snoring her head off.
Just gone up to bed to watch crap on tv and there are foxes going at it out the back somewhere....... I HATE the noise they make, makes me really uneasy

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 22:30

Thanks for replying Lola. Thankfully my mouthwash is a no alcohol one but I was worried about the chemicals. I drank at a wedding 2 days before I got my BFP but thankfully didn't drink too much ShockConfused I must've had a sixth sense that that was our month!

Ah, I'm in bed too and thankful of the company of you lovely ladies on here. Hope the foxes stop soon and you can get some rest.

I've got a lot on tomorrow and am feeling slightly apprehensive about whether I'll have enough energy for it all. Spending the afternoon with a group who I don't want to tell the news to just yet - so I've got to avoid that too. I hate denying it when people ask but I want to wait until 12 weeks before telling as many people as possible.

Got a right little podge on my tummy now and i think it is a combination of uterus expansion and too many carbs recently Smile

Southy84 · 12/05/2017 22:33

I bet mrsbluebell it's felt like a long wait for you x I'm sure the mouthwash is fine too, I don't tend to use it as it makes my mouth sore (yep weird) but I'm sure a quick swirl around won't do any harm at all. Hopefully your dh won't be too late.

angielka mine was only just over a year ago (so I probably will be told off for getting pregnant so soon) I hope I haven't caused myself a problem, feeling very stupid if I have, but was told a year and it's pretty much spot on a year.

I had a weird experience the other night but it was owls lolabee I woke up convinced dd was crying but no movement on the monitor, literally sat there freaked out wondering where the baby crying noise was coming from and eventually concluded it actually sounded like a owl.... well I assume it was an owl!

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 22:35

Thanks southy for your reassurance too.
Appreciate the support this thread offers.

Southy84 · 12/05/2017 23:15

Hope tomorrow is ok mrsbluebell I think it's harsh when people outrightly ask, even if they have their suspicions they should keep it to themselves. Hopefully you won't be put in the position where you get asked. If you do I'd be tempted to maybe say I don't have any news to tell, but when I do I will be sure to let you know, up to you of course :) and hopefully there won't be any questions

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 23:20

Southy yeah I had to do that before. One of the people going asked me outright not long ago and I had to say no, but I'll tell you if and when it happens. Hopefully it'll go ok.

My throat is so sore - it's going to be a long night. I haven't been up this late in a long time.

Lixon · 13/05/2017 07:21

A bit late but salt water gargles (I add a bit of bicarb too on my mums advice, no idea what it adds!) do wonders for sore throats alongside lemon and honey to drink (which I appreciate you don't have mrsbluebell!). A few gargles cleared up a sore throat very quickly last week, I think that had more effect than the honey..

Congratulations on your scan southy!

Lixon · 13/05/2017 07:23

Oh I also took a couple of strepsils a day which were great for numbing but technically they say not for pregnancy (doesnt everything!), pharmacist wasn't too concerned if I didn't take too many though

Southy84 · 13/05/2017 07:33

Thank you lixon :)

Hope you're feeling a bit better today mrsbluebell you can now say your scan is tomorrow yay!

Brens13 · 13/05/2017 07:40

zaber I finally did one too Grin

Hope the throat is feeling a bit better MrsB and that the DH wasn't too late home.

glastogal · 13/05/2017 08:47

Morning ladies! I feel like death.. didn't get in until 2:30am and now am up and showered as I had to leave soon for this damn hen do. Why did I think this was a good idea?? I've not had caffeine since getting pregnant but I think I will have to stop and get coffee on the way today 😴 Leftfield were amazing though.. bump got to enjoy their first bit of booming bass 😆

Bethany891 · 13/05/2017 08:54

Had an awful day with sickness yesterday seen that someone has said that pregnicare can make sickness worse so going to stop these and see if it gets better other than folic acid is there any other vitamins I should take good luck with your scan tomorrow @Mrsbluebell17

Mrsbluebell17 · 13/05/2017 08:55

Hope you had a great night glasto. Sounds like a fun night out. Enjoy today, I've been avoiding caffeine as much as possible too but the odd one won't hurt - that's what I've done, have it when you need it.

Thanks for the posts re my throat. Off to try and gargle salt water now but reckon it'll make me gag Sad .....and asking DH to go get honey and lemon for me shortly too. I feel absolutely rotten. Have a little white spot on the top of my throat so I'm a bit worried what it actually is.

Southy yes that's my 'silver lining' at the moment. The scan is tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a good outcome Grin

Mrsbluebell17 · 13/05/2017 08:55

Thanks Bethany

Mrsbluebell17 · 13/05/2017 08:56

Posted too soon!

Thanks Bethany hope your sickness subsides soon. I only take folic acid but I've no idea if that is ok or not.

glastogal · 13/05/2017 08:56

Take folic acid and Vit D Bethany - think those are the 2 most important (that's what I take!). Hope your sickness eased x

Bethany891 · 13/05/2017 09:13

Thanks @glastogal @Mrsbluebell17 I'll get some vit D today Smile

Carlotta82248 · 13/05/2017 09:44

Morning all! Feeling grand after a night in bed and not pounding the floor at work! Am like a new woman :) Feel so well it makes me feel anxious, why are we all such worriers? Precious things these little beans.

Can I get super personal? Anyone totally off DTD? I just can't do it!

macsworth · 13/05/2017 09:48

White spots sounds like it's tonsillitis Bluebell. You can take paracetamol for the pain. Do you have a temperature? They don't like giving our antibiotics for that anymore but not sure of the advice when you're pregnant. Make sure you rest up today and maybe go to a pharmacy to ask if there is anything else you can take.

Glasto I am in absolute awe of you! Love that your baby has been to its first gig!! Mines got to wait until June!

Sorry you're feeling so ill bethany. As others have said Folic Acid and Vit D.

I'm off to stay with friends tonight and although I'm not totally against them knowing I don't really want to announce it. Plus I think one of my friends has been TTC for a long time and so I want to be very tactful with telling her. I was on the receiving end of a few baby bombs when TTC and they're really hard to handle.
Think I'm just going to order and sparkling water with dinner and hope they don't comment.

pauseplayrepeat · 13/05/2017 09:48

glasto if ever there were a day to have a coffee! In awe of you getting home at 2:30am and already off out for round 2. Good luck!

mrsb hope your throats eases soon. Is it worse after eating? Only as my heartburn feels like a really sore, scratchy throats and for awhile I thought I was coming down with an evil cold.

Bethany Superdrug do a folic acid with vitamin d and the pill is teeny, which I find easier to swallow.

Bethany891 · 13/05/2017 10:04

Brill thank you @pauseplayrepeat I'm rubbish with tablets will give that a go

Carley27 · 13/05/2017 10:13

Me Carlotta, have been totally off it and not in the mood at all (poor DH 😂).

That's a tough one macs, but very sweet that you're being considerate of your friend who has been TTC.

Glasto you must be superwoman to already be on the go after last night! Hope you have a lovely time at the hen do!
