I love Indian food but can't find a decent takeaway where I live now. Need to venture to the next small towns I think to try their takeaways.

Would I be judged for eating a full large pizza? Wink I haven't done it yet, but am tempted haha.

Watching back episodes of masterchef whilst writing up some notes I need to do for a course I'm doing and eating my pizza. Grin

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 19:45

Blue if you eat a whole large pizza I have nothing but admiration for you.

Maybe I recommend some dough balls as well? And maybe some of those deep fried cookies?

Beardy1 · 12/05/2017 19:49

Takeaway kebab over here. Nom nom nom

Carley27 · 12/05/2017 19:49

Got my scan rearranged (they booked me in too early originally) and it's not til 14th June 😮 bloody ages away! But on the plus side DH wouldn't have been able to make the original date but now he will make it ☺️

Ooh I am craving an Indian after reading this 🤤 could be on the cards tomorrow.

Monty glad you got some reassurance from MW, better to check with them than sit worrying! Hope the work situation gets sorted quickly.

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 19:49

Zaber I am very greedy. I don't need encouraging to keep eating Confused hehe

Brens13 · 12/05/2017 19:56

zaber I'm wondering if we're actually the same person Grin can I get some dough balls to dip in my curry?! 😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 20:06

Glad you're sorted for DH to go to the scan with you Carley. How far along will you be then?
Glad to hear you could rearrange your scan. I'm nervous about mine falling when I can't attend due to work etc.

Bisquick · 12/05/2017 20:31

Three of us (DH, me and MIL) all fancy slightly different takeaway(s?) so DH and MIL have gone for a walk to pick up some pasta, some grilled chicken, and a pizza for me.

I keep wanting to eat healthy, but seem to only crave lots and lots of carbs and pizza. And spice! Got MIL to make me savoury French toast for lunch with lottts of green chilli.

Also suddenly thought about all the women going into labour today/tonight amid all the chaos on NHS and feeling terrible for them. Sigh. I hope they sort it out soon, and I really hope there's a special place in hell for hackers who'd seek a ransom from an already overstretched health service! (Seriously, wouldn't you rather hold some 5 star luxury hotel chain to ransom??)

glastogal · 12/05/2017 20:35

Haha - thanks you lot!! Will try to do you proud.. this gig was booked ages ago for a friend's birthday so I have to make the effort. Driving home after is gonna be so hard though.. DP better not sleep 😒 got a hen do tomorrow too but I'm crying off after dinner. Can't hack 2 nights in a row!! Jealous of all those takeaways. We had a car picnic in a traffic jam 😂 have lovely Friday evenings all 🎉🎉🎉

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 20:46

Bisquick enjoy your pizza - I didn't manage the whole thing but what I ate was SO tasty!

Glasto enjoy the gig and hope the drive back isn't too challenging. Is it a long drive for you?

So now I've eaten all that pizza (not a whole one), I definitely look pregnant but it's more food baby at this stage.

Argh wish DH was here tonight, so nervous about the scan this weekend - hope everything is still ok, that's what I'm most worried about. And also excited about potential twins. Mixed emotions!! Hope DH isn't too late back Hmm

Southy84 · 12/05/2017 20:49

Evening everyone, I tried to come and update you last night but mumsnet crashed on me right in the middle of a huge reply to as many people as possible, I lost the will to live and couldn't get back onto the thread Angry so just wanted to update that our scan went well yesterday, I'm 8+6 with a due date of 16th December. It definitely feels more real now. I have read through the last few pages and promptly forgot most names Blush , sending my thoughts to those with spotting, I had the same with my dd and it was terrifying. Glad your scan went well japan :)

When is your next scan mrsbluebell? Sorry if Ive missed that along the way.

The nausea has kicked in full force, sent dh out to get me a milkshake, which helped for all of about 5minutes now I feel horrific again, I feel like if I was actually sick I'd feel better. I did laugh at the 💩 Talk, I'm either having one issue or another.... not good at all Blush

Welcome to the newbies too, and congrats on the twins bethany

Carley27 · 12/05/2017 20:59

Bluebell should be about 12+4 then, i would only have been 10+4 on the original date. Fingers crossed your scans fall at convenient times but hopefully won't be a hassle to change them if you need to. Hope the weekend goes quick for you, will be thinking of you on Sunday!

Glasto you have a busy weekend! Don't blame you planning to head off early tomorrow night, I am really looking forward to a lie in tomorrow 😴

Glad scan went well Southy, hope the nausea passes soon.

Miami81 · 12/05/2017 21:07

Ah all the takeaways. I was out for a team dinner with work, it was lush. I hardly ate any curry though and I feel so uncomfortable now. Is this just me? Like I have to stand up as even sitting is too much bloat pressure. Seriously considering taking something for indigestion but don't know what's allowed........

Lolabee · 12/05/2017 21:08

I said to the mw that booked me in last week I'd feel better I think if i WAS sick too southy that probably sounds terrible to the ladies here who have been throwing up but nausea just feels.... well.....bleurgh!!!!

Lolabee · 12/05/2017 21:09

Gaviscon miami

Mumoftheark · 12/05/2017 21:20

Can't wait to hear @bluebell my bet is 2 healthy twins :) good luck.

Haven't been in here for a week, only on our Facebook page, don't think I'll ever keep up with this thread lol.
Been a horrible week of sickness. To be honest I'm not sure if it's a sickness bug or "morning" sickness. My little ones have been sick as well. I almost think Ive had a bug and it's kicked off the morning sickness 😭 either way I've felt like death all week.

Got my booking appointment date today - woo. May 22nd. Booked an early scan for next Saturday - convinced I'm having triplets lol putting on weight every hour even when I'm not It eating and constantly being sick.

Southy84 · 12/05/2017 21:30

I know lolabee there's no escaping this feeling- I hope that my comment didn't offend anyone with sickness, I can't imagine having actual sickness day in day out :(

That sounds awful mumoftheark there's been a sickness bug going round here, so I have to admit I have avoided going anywhere this week and feel like a terrible mum but we go on holiday next week and I just can't risk getting ill for any of us, I need this holiday so much.

I still haven't heard from a midwife yet and no nhs scan appointment so I think I will get back from our holiday and will be in panic mode trying to sort it all out

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 21:30

Thanks mumoftheark - I hope you're right!

Hey southy glad your scan went well - my rescan is on Sunday to see if she was right about it being twins in the same sac and placenta Grin.

Carley I bet you're relieved it's now over 12 weeks for the scan as although it's longer to wait at least you'll know you're past the 12 week mark then.

I have had a sore throats for a few days now but tonight it feels really bad. Hurts when I swallow. Can I take anything to make it better quickly?

Lolabee · 12/05/2017 21:33

Honey

Bisquick · 12/05/2017 21:36

Try honey in warm water (not boiling because it kills off all the good compounds in honey apparently)

My go to secret potion involves a tsp of turmeric, black pepper, honey dissolved in some warm water. It doesn't taste very nice but helps.

Angielka · 12/05/2017 21:42

Loving all the updates, and you lot are the best - takeaway pizza here too tonight. Not even feeling guilty Grin

Lola your comments on bf brought back memories. I had big problems with both my girls- had to express and bottle feed for weeks before they got the hang of it went through mastitis too and I know how miserable that is. There is huge pressure when it comes to how you feed your baby and it makes me so sad to hear how it made you feel. The important thing is the baby is fed, one way or another, and has a mum who can function and love him or her and not feel a failure for something that comes easy to some and is an impossible hurdle to others. I bf for a year with each girl in the end, but I don't know what will happen this time. Be kind to yourself Flowers

Carlotta82248 · 12/05/2017 21:43

I had beef chow mein and curry sauce! Took about an hour to eat as kept feeling sick :/

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 21:50

Thanks for the replies. I've no honey in, I don't think. But will get some tomorrow. For now I'm drinking warm water as vile as that sounds....as it seems to soothe it temporarily.

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 21:50

Hope you're feeling ok now Carlotta

Southy84 · 12/05/2017 22:06

Not long to wait now mrsbluebell :)

Quick question has anyone had a previous c-section? And if you have is your scar painful at all? Mine seems to be a bit tender tonight and not sure if that's normal so early on
