Peachi I saw my Dr 3 weeks before I got my midwife introduction letter this week (I'm now 7+3). I haven't heard regarding any appointments yet. I have left a vm for my midwife as we're both actually on leave the weeks I would be 11 and 12 weeks so hoping we can fit the scan in then so DH doesn't have to take another day off work.

Peachi82 · 10/05/2017 13:23

So, you mean, I should just ring the GP and ask?
I am 7+3 today, so same as Brens. According to the NHS website the booking appointment takes place between week 8 and 12. But since it's a long appointment I will probably take the whole day off, which needs to be planned a little ahead as well.
Ah, all this waiting!!

glastogal · 10/05/2017 13:39

zaber ♥️♥️♥️ blobby but definitely baby shaped!!! That's fabulous 😍 glad you managed to get the appointment - bet they will let you book the 20 week scan straight after the next dating one 👍

MummyH my OH reckons it's a girl too, but I think he's just being contrary because I think boy. He's a big child.

MontyPants · 10/05/2017 13:41

Xaber that's amazing! Definitely baby shaped! How lovely that you get another scan as well. I'm waiting for my scan date to come through. Booking appointment yesterday and the MW didn't tell me off! Apparently my BMI is ok (actually shocked. Think the scales must be broken! 😂)

MontyPants · 10/05/2017 13:42

Meant to tag Zaber! I can't spell

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 13:48

Zaber that's an amazing picture, congratulations. I want a scan date so bad!!

Peachi I'd call and check as they might at least be able to give you an idea of times frames. I was told the same as you, but am the most impatient person in the world so hate it when it takes longer than I'd like to get information from people. I think the intro letter is supposed to appease any impatience but it just made me wonder why they couldn't have put appointment dates on there too Grin

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 13:50

Sorry Peachi thought you'd said you'd been told 8-12 weeks, not read it on the NHS website. I was told 8-10 by my doctor for booking in and 11-14 for scan. We wait and see.....

Peachi82 · 10/05/2017 14:08

I see if I can pop round this week and ask at reception.
The GP hasn't told me anything really 😆 just asked me if I take folic acid and told me that I'm not ill.

Lolabee · 10/05/2017 14:15

Thanks peach you've just reminded me to take mine. Had to go straight out this morning

Zaberwocky · 10/05/2017 14:20

Glasto DH is booking a private one at 16 weeks. He seems more impatient then me ... he also just pointed out my nipples are nearly falling out of my bra and is taking me shopping Saturday Blush

Monty Grin it's lovely not being told off!

Bren I'm sure you'll get yours soon Smile it is really exciting.

Peachi82 · 10/05/2017 15:30

I should complain more often! Had a letter when I came home saying I need to phone a number because I'm referred to a hospital. Called the number, they gave me a time when to call the hospital to arrange an appointment! Not complicated at all!!! 😆

LapinR0se · 10/05/2017 15:35

Oh my goodness peachi you'd swear we had nothing else to do with our time!

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 15:38

Haha nice one peachi

Is it just me then still without any appointments booked?! (assuming Peachi can book hers when she calls back)

macsworth · 10/05/2017 15:55

I can't wait to hear about the scan either bluebell.

Gorgeous baby shaped blob zaber. So weird they gave you such an early appointment.

I'm another team yellow, I love the idea of a surprise and it's never really crossed my mind to find out!

I'm going to attempt a run tonight. Haven't don't any proper exercise since I found out I was pregnant due to nausea and exhaustion but beginning to feel very guilty about it! I won't be going far or fast. Anyone else running/exercising?

glastogal · 10/05/2017 16:14

I'm desperate to get back to running Macs - I had to give up for the IVF and the midwife suggested I wait until after the 12 week scan. So I'm counting down. It's been 3 months and I miss running terribly 😟

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 16:34

I'm still playing hockey macs but had to stop a boogie bounce class (jumping on rebounder) I did 3 times a week as the Dr recommended it. Miss that as feel quite lethargic, but don't know if it would have made my extreme tiredness worse or better.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/05/2017 16:35

@TootsyBella84 like this

Is that the rainbow Tula? I have sling envy.

TootsyBella84 · 10/05/2017 17:36

It is. I had to order it when it was released in hope I'd get to use it one day 🙈

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/05/2017 18:47

Did you see the miosolo prints in Aldi last week? I got one of each. I only cloth bum part time. I love my Tula though. I want another one or five in different prints! They're so pretty.

Beardy1 · 10/05/2017 18:50

macs I've continued to stay active since being pregnant by walking the pooch twice a day and gymming between 4 to 2 times a week. Although I've definetly had to ease off on what I do when I'm there as it can absolutely kill me off for the day. Plus nausea has been so bad over the last week or so that's when I've had to reduce it to 2 a week plus work commitments. Going to aim to go back to 4 next week. Fingers crossed anyways.

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/05/2017 19:01

I feel like the laziest so and so ever reading these posts. Apart from walking a lot I haven't been doing any exercise. I've just been far too exhausted. Confused

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 19:04

Haha MrsB I'm surprised my fitbit doesn't think I'm a different person as I've gone from averaging 15000 steps a day to barely 4000 apart from hockey days lol. Trying to just let how I feel dictate it and not beating myself up too much.

Zaberwocky · 10/05/2017 19:06

Blue don't feel bad. I've had to hold off on exercise too. I walk about 8 miles a day, but the sickness pills make me too dizzy to drive, let alone go to spinning or boxercise!
