Last time we found out but didn't tell (apparently according to a thread on here that makes me smug and unreasonable) but I didn't want loads of blue and pink. When DS was born he had my colouring (pasty pale). Pastels and high street sludge look crap on him. So I developed an expensive Frugi and Scandi clothes habit. This is him in Maxomorra dinosaurs. Little Bird in Mothercare is also good.

We did the harmony test last time and found out the gender. I was glad because DH was certain I was having a little boy he could play rugby with...but turned out we were having a girl. He was disappointed for about 10 mins then came round and was delighted. Of course she is the apple of his eye now and loves doing rugby tackles.

However I could not have handled seeing any kind of disappointment on his face after she was born, it would have felt like total rejection of the two of us. So I'm very glad we knew in advance.

Lixon · 10/05/2017 07:21

We will find out as part of the harmony test, I would definitely be getting s private scan to find out if not though - I'm massively impatient. I like the idea of not telling anyone else because I do mostly hate the pink/blue stuff but I'm rubbish at keeping secrets so suspect that won't last long!

Was very happy to see your scan pic last night Tootsy, glad all looks ok.

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/05/2017 07:25

I'm SO tired! Shock

Lolabee · 10/05/2017 07:39

Oh dear MrsB me too, although I'm sure waking up at 3.30am for an hour doesn't help matters. (Weird as it's usually 4 on the dot!)

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 08:35

ScotsLamb that is a lot of stairs! Thankfully mine seem to have eased on the tenderness a bit recently, except for trying to get comfy in bed, but I'm not sure I'd manage 90 stairs without holding on lol.

MrsB I feel very excited for you! Can't wait to find out if you're having twins lol - potentially a bit weird, but I think as we spend these 12(ish) weeks not being able to talk to other people about this stuff I'm getting quite invested into all of your little beans too lol.

I also for the last 2 nights have woken up around 3 and not been able to get back to sleep till after 4. I normally sleep really well too so I hope this doesn't last too long. Nearly fell asleep at me desk yesterday as it was!

Brens13 · 10/05/2017 08:36

My* desk...

Carlotta82248 · 10/05/2017 09:04

@DoctorDonnaNoble that outfit is right up my street. Love Little Bird x

pauseplayrepeat · 10/05/2017 09:35

We didn't find out the gender for our first two but as we're having the Harmony test and can know so definitively from that, we're going to find out. I wouldn't mind being on team yellow again but DH really wants to know.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/05/2017 09:37

@Carlotta82248 - loads more where that came from! Most of his clothes are little bird, Maxomorra, Frugi and JoJo Maman Bebe. I do a lot of sale shopping.

mamalovesviolet · 10/05/2017 10:17

We're going to find out. I need to know if I have to go and buy some more clothes... hehe!! To be fair most of what I got for DD1 is gender neutral. But any excuse!

glastogal · 10/05/2017 10:34

I love little bird ♥️ will have to check out those other suggestions of yours too Donna 👍 I love colourful clothes!!

TootsyBella84 · 10/05/2017 11:20

Oh I adore little bird 😍 I've got the little bird rainbow baby vest. Cannot wait to use it!

MontyPants · 10/05/2017 11:42

Morning all (it's JUST still morning I guess). I'm definitely going to find out the gender, simply so we can decide on a name.
I had a horrible night because my dogs decided to start barking at 4am and wouldn't shut up until I went and slept downstairs with them. They are obsessed with being around me at the moment. They definitely know I'm expecting. But it was freezing cold on the sofa, and I had two very strange and upsetting dreams (one where my friend went missing, and another where I had cheated on DH with someone from work!) so I had to have a mid-morning nap as well. Now I better get ready for work ☹️

MummyHenman2be · 10/05/2017 11:52

I had a dream we had a boy!

Could it be a sign!!??

Zaberwocky · 10/05/2017 11:54

Scan went well Grin as expected, I'm still too early for decent measurements. So I need to go back in two weeks.

I did ask why I'd been booked in for a scan so early in the first place Confused no one seemed to know!

Lunch, then off to go sit in on DH's counselling session, which I'm sure will be interesting.

MontyPants · 10/05/2017 11:54

MummyHenman ooo exciting! Maybe you are! At least that's a normal pregnancy dream. I wonder what on earth mine mean...

TootsyBella84 · 10/05/2017 11:59

Does anyone else use slings and cloth nappies? I think this is what I'm most excited about! My youngest is 4 so I haven't baby worn or hung beautiful nappies out to dry in a while! 😂

Boo to not getting the measurements but Yay for an extra peek at baby Zaber!

Carley27 · 10/05/2017 12:26

Oh my god the hair band button trick has made my life so much better - work trousers were getting way too snug!

I am definitely going to find out gender as I am way to impatient/NEED to know Grin I wouldn't mind getting pink/blue stuff and as we think it's a boy (no idea why!) I'd like to know so we can change mindset to a girl if that's the case. No preference though so we will be delighted either way.

Great news zaber - extra look a baby is a bonus!

PMSL at the elbow in the boob brens, well done for not attacking her with your stick! I'm still playing too so I will watch out for the elbows!

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/05/2017 12:41

Yay to an extra peak at the baby Zaber. That's what I keep thinking about this weekend - if it's not twins but we've still got one healthy little baby in there then at least we get a second look at it for free before the twelve week scan.
The weekend can't come quick enough!

glastogal · 10/05/2017 12:49

Can't believe they made such an early appt zaber but it is a good chance to get another looksie, as everyone says!! How did baba look? Must be pretty baby shaped by 10+5!! I'm so impatient for my scan 😫😫

So excited for you on Sunday mrsB!! Time must be standing still for you.

Zaberwocky · 10/05/2017 13:05

Glasto agreed! I figured that they knew what was best Grin they did apologise, I think you may have made the right choice with your hospital. They struggled to get me an appointment for another scan within three weeks! I'm half tempted to book ALL of my scans now ...

That's what it looks like today. It's very blobby Grin

MummyHenman2be · 10/05/2017 13:07

My hubby is adamant it's a girl! I'm thinking boy.

We don't mind as long as it's happy and healthy!!

It would be amazing to have a girl though. I would love to have the relationship with my daughter that I do with my Mum ❤️

Peachi82 · 10/05/2017 13:08

How long does it normally take to get a date for the booking appointment?
I saw my GP a week ago and he said he will forward my data, but so far no one's has been in touch.
I need to plan a little bit as well because of work...

Zaberwocky · 10/05/2017 13:10

Peachi honestly I would chase them up. I couldn't get one for weeks, but the MW only works Wednesdays where I am!
