greedy - about the names - ds has decided that if this one is a boy, it should be called Samson ... God only knows why - although he quite likes Digger too ... oh dear!
I have a very Welsh first name (have only ever met one other - and she shares a surname with me too, very confusing), and I grew up in Birmingham - in a multicultural area - people had a lot more problems with my name (usual reaction 'what was that?') than with some of my friends with Asian names ... first opportunity I had, I came 'home' to Wales! People have never heard of my name here either, but are a lot more able to say it ...
buffy - the chocolate frogs are in the fridge waiting for you all to claim them ... (munch, munch!). Just ignore the chocolate spread all around my mouth . Glad to hear that your dc is managing with the Welsh - I'm having lessons too - but my teacher is from this area - in fact is an LSA at ds's school, so teaches us not only the 'correct' way of saying things, but also the way our kids will say it! DH is from deepest darkest Welshest West Wales, and says many of the things totally differently too ...
gemma - fab news about you scan!
j20 - hiya back to you ... I've felt this one moving for quite a while - mind you, it may just be wind!
polarmummy - I love Caitlin and Zack too ...
Kitti - I like Ivor - my friend's ds is called Ivor: if you put the stress on the -vor, then the jokes can't be made so easily ...
I have just gone and started reading the baby names book ... I have only got to 'M' and I've got lots of names already ... on my list:
girls:
Alys, Ceinwen, Ffion, Meirwen / Mairwen, Medi (but only if bab is early and born in Sept, as that's what it means)
boys:
Afan, Aled, Cai, Cian, Gethin ....
hmmmmmmm ....
Right, my presence is required upstairs for stories - I'll have to try to stay awake tonight - last night, I fell asleep on ds's bed when I put him to bed - woke up an hour later, and decided to go straight to bed ... then woke up at 4.45am (grrrrr)
Just in case it happens again, Night Night.
