Excellent news coffee!

So happy to see more of us on here Grin

I'm 4+2 today and tested again and my test line is now darker than the control line (JUST. Need to have sharp eyes). Huzzah! Good sign Smile

I'm out, went to work and injured myself so got sent to A&E, they did a pregnancy test and both are negative :( if I hadn't hurt myself at work I wouldn't even know. Good luck ladies xxx

pickledsausage · 27/04/2017 05:50

PhD I'm really sorry to hear that! ☹️ Xx

WLMcI · 27/04/2017 07:28

@PhDPepper I'm really sorry for your loss. I know it's early, but it's still a MC (or a "chemical pregnancy", which amounts to the same thing), and it's still really hard. Please tell your GP about this; if, god forbid, you need to be referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic, they will only do it after 3, so you need this one on the records. There's a thread on MN, TTC after MC, you'll find it in the Conception threads, and I found it hugely supportive. Again, I'm really sorry Flowers

millsbynight · 27/04/2017 07:56

PhD I'm sorry Sad I've lost babies too. I lost my very first pregnancy at 18 weeks quite a few years ago with my ExP (hate thinking/talking about it), I've had a mmc and I've had a chemical pregnancy too. It never gets easier.

Silverlinings I had IVF+ICSI for my DS with ExP (male factor) so I know the joy of getting pregnant after ivf!

PhDPepper · 27/04/2017 13:26

I'm literally so confused. Did a restart home this morning with my last one and it's a big fat positive, 'Scuse the dog bed in the background

  • test at home not restart!
pickledsausage · 28/04/2017 06:03

That is so strange PhD! Maybe dodgy batch of tests at the hospital?! How many weeks are you? GP may be able to refer you to EPU to get a reassurance scan.

Newhere123 · 28/04/2017 06:27

Hello

So I was wondering if any of you feels the same..

This is my first pregnancy, so not really sure what to expect to feel at this stage. I should be about 4/5 weeks now, waiting for my first scan. I'm quite anxious to have it and want to make sure it is all going ok- as I'm sure you can relate.. what are you supposed to do/feel until then?

I do feel more tired these days and quite bloated, boobs are sore and have some discharge (sorry for TMI)- which I was told is very normal but also cramps which worries me a lot- is this also normal? Other than that- all I want to do is take more home tests to be sure that I still am pregnant until my scan!

Anyone feels the same..? Hmm

X

HariboFrenzy · 28/04/2017 06:52

Tentatively joining you after a bfp this morning! Going by LMP due date of 1.1.18!!!

WLMcI · 28/04/2017 07:13

PhD that is very weird! Especially as they did 2 at the hospital. I think until you have signs of MC, if it were me I'd treat myself as pg. Did the hospital give you any medication? If so, I would stop taking it until you ring your GP, or out of hours doctor this morning, and explain the situation and ask if it is OK to take the meds. Fx for you that those tests were bad, and it's all OK!

ifeellikechickentonight · 28/04/2017 07:13

Hello! Joining VERY tentatively with a due date of 7/1/18... I have 26 day cycles, AF was due today, got my BFP an hour ago! Which makes me technically 3+5 so it's incredibly early days!

This is the 4th time I have been 4 weeks pregnant having had a chemical last cycle, a mc in June 2016 and DD who turned 2 yesterday. So I am not counting my chickens and will keep testing every few days to check, but the line on the frer is much stronger than it was with the CP last cycle so I am cautiously hopeful for now. I also have that weird tugging feeling in my uterus and some lower back pain which I'm hoping are good signs.

WLMcI · 28/04/2017 07:19

Newhere that all sounds perfectly normal to me! I have never had nausea during the first weeks, but I do have a sort of mildly crampy/indegestion/bloated feeling. FWIW, morning sickness in the form of actual nausea is common but not by any means universal, so don't worry about that; in 4 healthy pregnancies, my mother only had morning sickness with 1 of us! And yes, time seems to slow down to the equivalent of how it felt in the last few weeks of the school year when you were a kid, lol! Grin Some people get early scans as reassurance (privately); if you do that they recommend waiting until 8 weeks (your pregnancy is dated since the start of your last period, so you should know how pregnant you are exactly). They can be very expensive, and usually the worry seems to return the next day anyway, but it's up to you! X

Newhere123 · 28/04/2017 07:27

WLMcl Thank you for your comment- It is very reassuring! I just want everything to go well and waiting patiently is something I am not good at, with everything really..! :)

MegsMog · 28/04/2017 14:41

Hello!

Tentatively joining as just got BFP. I had an early MC at 5.5 weeks last month so feeling slightly apprehensive (especially as my line isn't strong by any means) but hoping for a sticky one!

This would be DC #2, I already have a DD who has just turned two.

MegsMog · 28/04/2017 14:44

Oh, and my EDD is the 6th Jan.

ifeellikechickentonight · 28/04/2017 18:00

You sound like me meg, it's only 4 weeks since my CP so it's still a bit raw! I'm thinking of it in milestones... if I'm still pg when I test again in 3 days, at 5 weeks, at 6 weeks when I would self refer to midwifery, at 8 weeks for a private scan... I can't think any further ahead than that! It's a long old road from here to January. My DD is also just 2- had her birthday yesterday

MegsMog · 28/04/2017 18:48

ifeel wow, yes very similar! I'm the same with milestones - last time by lines didn't get darker then faded, so I'll just be hoping for darker lines for now. I'll also be booking an 8 week scan (if I get to that point of course).

Did your DD have a lovely birthday? Mine was so delighted, two is such a sweet age.

pebble82 · 28/04/2017 21:58

Hi all. Got bfp today at 11dpo. EDD is Jan 7th.

millsbynight · 28/04/2017 22:36

I'm with you megs and chickentonight! Had mmc earlier this year and monitoring my lines on Clearblue weeks' pregnancy tests and I have an early scan booked for a couple of weeks time to reassure me.

I had a leftover boots ovulation test so gave it a shot as I know if you're pregnant then opks pick it up. Here's my test. The test line is the square window, the round window is the control line. So I'm either pregnant or, with a line so dark it's almost black, I'm having the mother of all ovulations 😂

millsbynight · 28/04/2017 22:39

Welcome pebble!

P.s. Chickentonight are you an Aussie by any chance? There was an ad on tv I remember as a kid with a song that went "I feel like chicken tonight. Like CHICKEN TONIGHT!" .... maybe they had it here in the uk too 😬

MegsMog · 29/04/2017 05:56

mills sadly we too had that song! That OPK looks nice and reassuring.

LadyM0ndegreen · 29/04/2017 08:24

Hi everyone! Had my BFP earlier this week at 10dpo. We'd been trying for 6 months.

EDD is January 5. This is DC #2 for me (DS is 15, turning 16 this year). Can't believe I am doing this again!

PS millsbynight I'm Australian and remember that ad, and just found it again on YouTube

Usernamegone · 29/04/2017 10:04

Can I join? Just got my BFP yesterday with an EDD of 6th Jan based on my LMP

This will be DC #1 for me (fingers crossed)

DiveItLikeYouStoleIt · 29/04/2017 12:17

Hello! Can I join, currently working with DD 30th Dec but highly likely I'll be welcoming a January baby.
