Waitingonasmile I got 2-3 today after a 1-2 on monday. Only got 1-2 last night so was reluctant to use another today!! Glad I did though. Have now banned myself from trying again for a 3+ until next Saturday.

MarthaC · 06/05/2017 16:32

I'm the same due date! Could be an interesting NYE Shock
Congratulations. I really do feel like crap... are you in the same boat?

Kirsty157 · 06/05/2017 17:21

Hi all, I'll join if that's ok?
Got BFP nearly two weeks ago, EDD is 1st Jan going by my LMP.
This will be baby number three for me, but feels like the first time again as my youngest has just turned 10! I had a MC just before Christmas at 11 weeks so feeling a little anxious and have booked an early scan for two weeks today to try and put my mind at rest

questsabelletreetop · 06/05/2017 17:24

Ooo, a secret Facebook page sounds good Fattycow!

I'm due Jan 10thSmile

ndo4000 · 06/05/2017 17:49

Kirsty congratulations on your BFP! I also have a large age gap. My eldest is about to turn 10 and my youngest is 7!

Am a bit apprehensive about how my little one will deal with not being the 'baby' anymore.

Do you have any other DC (apart from your 10 yr old)?

Kirsty157 · 06/05/2017 17:55

Hi ndo, yes my dd will be 12 in July.
There's only 20 months between them, so their early years passed by in a blur of nappy changes, feeds and naps. Was so worth it though, they're very close :) I won't be telling them about this pregnancy till I've had the 12 week scan. I held off telling them before Christmas too, which I'm very glad for now.
Feels a bit strange doing it all again, I'm 36 now, so also a bit anxious about the risks of pregnancy later in life. My partner is in his mid forties and this will be his first dc

ndo4000 · 06/05/2017 18:28

Omg Kirsty! I am also 36!! DH & I have just had that same conversation about when to tell the girls & we came to the same conclusion of after the 12 wk scan.

How do you think they will take the news?

Kirsty157 · 06/05/2017 18:50

Glad I'm not the only one :)
I'm hopeful they will take it well. My sister lives close by and has two really little ones, who they see all the time and who they're normally really good with. I'm quite certain dd will be excited, but ds is a different kettle of fish and on occasion has been a little jealous when I fuss over his younger cousins. I'm planning to involve them as much as I can once they know, as I'm also hyper aware that baby having a different dad might also be strange for them. My ex husband has a step son and step daughter who live in Poland but visit in holidays, and they get on ok with them so hopefully all will be well.
How do you think yours will be ndo?

ndo4000 · 06/05/2017 21:47

I think the big one will be fine & super excited- she has already said she wishes we had another baby. Little one might be a bit trickier.....

Maybebaby2 · 06/05/2017 22:10

Hi can i join?

Got a faint bfp on Tuesday at 9 dpo it remained faint since then, but today got a little darker. I've got some strange symptoms, a rash on my skin that comes and goes and also my skin feels like it's burning for long periods of time. I'm not just hot, my skin literally feels like its burning in a horrid prickly kind of way. Can't explain it better than that it's so strange!

Got a doctors appointment on Tuesday and will take it from there hopefully it'll be a sticky bean and the strange skin reaction is nothing to worry about.

Slightly worried as I'm a bit older now (37) and there's a huge gap between ds and this one, it'll be 16 years in total, in fact edd is 13th Jan the day after ds 16th birthday!

This is my dh 1st so all new to him and he's bricking it a little bit at the moment! Would like a bit more enthusiasm from him but he doesn't want to get excited until he knows it going to be ok! I'm thinking that might take the whole 9 months!

ifeellikechickentonight · 07/05/2017 06:34

Morning all, welcome maybe how strange I've never heard of a rash like that before, how long have you had it?

I've just done a CB digi, got 2-3. By LMP I should be 5 weeks exactly today so I suppose I shouldn't worry that it's not 3+. When I look back over my notes I think I ovulated on CD 15-16 so that would make me a little less than 5w anyway. Will use the other one in a few days to check it is 3+. God early pregnancy is so nerve wracking. I hope more than anything this one sticks (and I never have to go through this early pregnancy stress again!)

ndo4000 · 07/05/2017 07:37

Morning! Chicken, fx it stick! Let us know how you get on with the other test?

ImBreakingBad · 07/05/2017 08:09

Room for a little one Smile?

Got my BFP on Friday a whole week before AF is due! Here is today's tests... Can you tell me if you think a Digi would show up?

I'm terrified already and preying this one is a sticky bean.

Hope everyone is well xx

January 2018 babies!
Maybebaby2 · 07/05/2017 08:20

Hi ifeellike the rash has been since Thursday, it's just on my waist, across where old stretch marks are comes and goes and looks a bit spidery if that makes sense! The burning skin is worse, had that since Tues and is mostly on my legs, it's quite painful so I'm hoping it won't keep happening through the whole pregnancy!
I know what you mean about early pregnancy being nerve wracking it's the waiting and not being able to do anything other than wait that gets me!

Hi I'mbreaking lovely to see you here and congrats again on your bfp! Grin I've never used a digital so can't help you on that one.
Fx for sticky ones for us all xx

rabbitstail · 07/05/2017 08:24

Wow that is def a positive ImBreakingBad! And a week early too...congratulations! Will you test again? I did a digital on the day of my missed then another a week later..just to be sure!

Maybebaby2, congratulations! that rash sounds horrid for you, are you putting anything on it? I have a 16 yr old too! I'm rather scared of telling her.....

Ifeellikechickentonight, early pg is a scary time! Will you test again this week? Have you seen a mw yet? I think I'll feel better when I have. I'm due to see mine on thur but have booked an early scan privately as I've had two mc in the past..

Waitingonasmile · 07/05/2017 08:28

That sounds horrible maybebaby maybe you could get a doctor's appointment just to put your mind at rest.

Wow imbreakingbad strong line. I definitely think digital would show positive. I got positive when my line wasn't as dark on the IC.

I'm feeling rubbish today. Waves of nausea. It's still so early. I definitely didn't feel sick until much later with DS.

Kirsty157 · 07/05/2017 08:31

Hi Maybe, congrats on the bfp:)
If it helps, I have mild eczema on my legs which has really flared up since I found out I'm pg. to the point where I'm considering going to the doc for some cream. It's normally very mild but is driving me mad. I think that changing hormones is probably responsible, and that our skin is very responsive to changes in the body. I'd go and get it checked out if I were you. It might also be that you're a little stressed since the bfp?
This is first dc for my partner too. He is wonderful with my two, but is holding off on being excited just yet.hes kind of walking round in a daze and avoiding talking about it at the moment, which is kind of bringing me down a bit as only the two of us know so feel like I have nobody to talk to. I'm hoping his enthusiasm will show after the scan in two weeks time, as I know he really wants this baby but is just anxious

Maybebaby2 · 07/05/2017 08:40

Hi rabbitstail thank you and congratulations to you too! Just putting e45 on rash at the moment will wait and see if gp prescribes anything else for it.
Do you have any others between this one and your 16 year old? I think ds will be so happy when we tell him because he's been asking forever for a sibling. That could change when it actually arrives and he's woken at night when it cries! I just realised that he'll be doing exams next year with a new baby in the house, probably not the best timing!Hmm

Maybebaby2 · 07/05/2017 08:54

Hi kirsty thank you and congrats to you too!
Yes definitely think the cause is hormonal just hoping it settles down soon! Your dp sounds exactly like mine and I understand why he feels that way but still wish he'd show a bit more how happy he is about it. He's got 12 weeks in his head a a marker which doesn't sound like long but we'll be telling people then so the whole time when it's just me and him is going to feel like it's just me at this rate! I'm going to keep talking about it with him and hopefully he'll start to relax!

Hi waitingon great to see you here! Smile Yeah I have gp app on Tues so hopefully he'll advise what to do about rash. Hopefully the nausea is just passing and you'll feel better soon, Ive had one wave of it up to now an that was all. So fx the same for you.

ifeellikechickentonight · 07/05/2017 09:10

I've got another digi rabbits so I'll probably test again in a few days to check it's gone up to 3+! I'm moving house on Friday and need to register with a gp in the new area so I figured I'll go then and ask them to refer me to mw. I will be over 6 weeks by then all being well. Definitely going to book an early scan, I'm going to a wedding when I'll be 7+6 so was thinking of getting the scan the day before so I can tell my closest two friends and they can swap wine glasses with me and help keep up the pretence that I'm drinking!

Every day is like a week in early pregnancy! Roll on second trimester!!

ImBreakingBad · 07/05/2017 11:10

Hi everyone,

I'll be testing numerous times daily up until AF or I run out of tests.

I'm unsure when to call the EPU - I've to self refer to get HCG checked and for early scan due to our history. Don't you think it'd be a bit early just now?

I'm so hormonal already. My mother just stopped in to ours and asked if I'm sure I'm not pregnant as I've been moody all week. Safe to say she got a big surprise when I said I think I am!!

millsbynight · 07/05/2017 11:13

I'm 5+6 today and vomited this morning! Am I the first one? 🤢

Had absolutely horrible morning/all day sickness with DS that continued throughout the WHOLE pregnancy and was so scared it would happen this time around which I guess it is but still early days.

But I have a question for those of us with older DC (DS is 6 but will be 7 by the time baby comes)... DH and I have discussed that we won't tell DS until the 12 week scan, but if I continue like this, gagging and vomiting all the time DS will think mummy is dying. What should I say to him when I'm vomiting my guts up every morning? DS is at his dads this weekend so DH and I have time to come up with a plan. Help!

Kirsty157 · 07/05/2017 11:25

I won't be telling mine until 12 weeks either Mills. It's horrible lying to them, but it's better if something goes wrone that they don't know.
As your little one is quite young, perhaps you could just pass it off as having a poorly tummy? Poor you with MS already :(

ElleMcElle · 07/05/2017 11:27

Hello! Can I join in? I'm pregnant with my first, having just turned 36. Took two Clearblue Digi tests on the day my period was due (5th) and both said 1-2 weeks. My estimated due date is 10th Jan. I'm excited and a bit overwhelmed! Also slightly worried as I was SURE I wasn't pregnant, so had a fair bit of coffee and did a couple of very energetic yoga classes in the past week! Only symptom I have at the moment are headaches - although this might be the caffeine withdrawal!

Maybebaby2 · 07/05/2017 11:45

Hi mills I think you could get away with saying you have a little tummy bug. At age 6 you could probably say that to ds every day for months and he might not even question it. I'm hoping I don't get really sick because it might be harder to explain to my 15 year old and we really don't want to tell till 12 weeks, but I've nearly slipped up twice already!
Hi ellemc congratulations on your bfp! I was the same as you convinced I was out this cycle so very very surprised to get a bfp! It's a nice surprise though! Grin
