@CoxsOrangePippin you could it would just be a bit of a pain to keep doing that. If breastfeeding works you'll be in all different sizes over the months.

EsmesBees · 24/04/2017 20:20

Cox as long as it's comfortable for you and you can get enough of the breast exposed then that will be fine. At the beginning I mainly fed with no bra or one of those soft night time ones anyway.

Badgerbird · 24/04/2017 20:23

ticky i would say that was a good reason to cry!! How bloody annoying Angry

Ooh shini that must be a bit Shock You seem to be taking it well, I hope you are getting your head around it even though it's such short notice.

So yesterday whilst cleaning up after painting nursery we scrubbed the floorboards too much and took the wax off so DH had to re wax them at the end of a long days diy. We shut the door and left the window open to air in there. This morning he went to open the door, it was stuck so hard he pulled the bloody handle off!!! Just glad she wasn't in there already! Confused

1004Rise · 24/04/2017 20:47

@CoxsOrangePippin if you're looking for something to keep you busy during mat leave you could always try this... cheaper than several new bras

Badgerbird · 24/04/2017 20:57

Oooh rise that's actually pretty nifty!!

CoxsOrangePippin · 24/04/2017 21:20

Thank you all for the bra advice and rise I have bookmarked that !

jennymac31 · 24/04/2017 21:48

Shiniberry - hope you're doing OK. Had my acupuncture session this afternoon which was much better than last week. She too stuck some seeds in my ears as well as a tiny acupuncture needle in both my feet, which I need to remove in the next 2-3 days.

Acupuncturist told me that I should go home and have a nap afterwards. Of course I was unable to do this as had to collect dd from nursery and then help dh sort out upstairs before carpet right arrive tomorrow. Feel like I've probably undone all the good work she had done because my groin and back are hurting so much. To top things off, dh decides to voice his opinion on the whole 'pre-birth' acupuncture treatment and how he doesn't think it would do anything & I can't control what happens with the birth so I basically shouldn't bother!

I had hoped my maternity leave would be relaxing but the last week and a half as been anything but!

Apologies for the ranty post but this is the first time I have felt properly fed up of being pregnant. I feel bad & guilty that I'm not pulling my weight and dh is doing a lot but I know that if I push myself I will just cause an injury, hence why I'm in bed in agony.

Just feel like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.

Autumnsweater · 24/04/2017 22:19

Jenny rant away, it's a rubbish feeling isn't it. My DH has had to do everything today. I'm so sick of it.

Shini good luck with everything!

lullaby23 · 24/04/2017 23:23

shini exciting you'll get to meet baby a week early!

Hope you had a lovely birthday peach

No sign of heartburn reducing here sadly, first baby didn't engage at all and I think this one is still breech but will find out on Wednesday. Been having BH since 2nd trimester but they're not ramping up.

Off to the physio this morning, back much improved but might have to get the #fannypeas out for the front Sad

teainbed · 25/04/2017 00:42

No sign of @crazyzooo or @yellowismyfavourite hope all is going well.

WishIWasSleeping · 25/04/2017 00:47

So, now we've decided on a name it's time to catch up on this thread! It's probably going to take me all night! x
Here's a little pic for you all. x

Gorgeous wish what a little cherub!

Autumnsweater · 25/04/2017 05:10

Aw wish he's gorgeous! All that beautiful hair!

Autumnsweater · 25/04/2017 05:33

So I have just baked a loaf of bread because I couldn't sleep Confused, madness! Woke up from a dream about it (started the dough yesterday).

newbieho · 25/04/2017 06:05

Super cute baby @WishIWasSleeping 😍

EsmesBees · 25/04/2017 06:18

So gorgeous Wish. Beautiful hair.

That is crazy Autumn, but also impressive. Have also been awake for hours but like to kid myself there is a chance of getting back to sleep.

Hand over starts at work today. Only going in for the morning then off to the hospital to see the anti natal psychology specialist about how my mum's death is affecting me. I wouldn't be going without the support and encouragement from you guys a few threads back. Feel very grateful for that.

Anyone heard from nursebickypegs recently?

CoxsOrangePippin · 25/04/2017 06:33

esmes glad you are doing that. Obvs I don't know what they'll say / what you've already experienced, but when I had some psychotherapy a few years ago the thing I wish I'd realised was normal was feeling sort of worse/different before I felt better - just like starting a new exercise regime when it's sore at first!

lullaby23 · 25/04/2017 06:40

Great that you are taking to someone esme I hope it is helpful for you. Impressive dawn baking autumn!

Northernexile · 25/04/2017 06:57

Beautiful photo wish, he's gorgeous! Hope you are both doing well.
That's great that you are seeing someone esmes, hopefully you will find it beneficial, and it's good to get the ball rolling before the really hectic stage kicks in.
That's very productive of you autumn, where did you find the energy?!

Rustler74 · 25/04/2017 07:30

Wow that is one very gorgeous baby @WishIWasSleeping! I can't believe that there's someone inside me that looks like a real person!
@EsmesBees I'm so pleased you will get to talk to someone! To miss my mum for this special event in my life would be a disaster for me, so I'd need the same, undoubtedly!

I've not heard from @nursebickypegs either. Really hoping we will hear her soon. It's about 2 weeks soon and I'm getting worried...

OP posts:
EsmesBees · 25/04/2017 07:44

Thanks all. Will report back.

I'll send her a pm rustler. I was just thinking how she sent some lovely messages the first time I mentioned talking to someone.

WishIWasSleeping · 25/04/2017 07:53

@teainbed , @EsmesBees** thanks for thinking of me! Sorry to leave you all dangling for what seems like forever. (I'm actually surprised you're on the same thread!!)
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and comments. Hopefully I can push for home today.
Between getting up at 8am Friday until after 14:00 Sunday I had about 4 hours sleep.
I had some recovery delays once baby was here, so am still in hospital at the moment but I am very happy with the care I'm getting at my boring old hospital. Everyone's been brilliant.
@FoxMulder - pouring water helps immensely however I wasn't allowed as they needed to monitor what came out for a while! I can do that now though!
@Barnes79 - our DD prefers her room around 15-17 degrees. Personally I'd see how it goes. Maybe change baby's bum and dry after bath in a warmer room, but just secure an extra blanket for sleeps? Baby will just wake up if too cold!
@crazyzooo - hope things go to plan for you. You'll find the energy from somewhere don't worry.
@Northernexile - what a cutie! x
@PeachIcedT - happy birthday for yesterday! Mines on Friday! I was planning on doing all I could to share with baby but he clearly didn't want to wait!
I don't know if to laugh or cry that I didn't get any maternity leave! DD is still booked in at her normal nursery so DH isn't feeling too stressed looking after her on his own!
@mrspage1985 - hope you can at least try and relax in the evenings? Only 4 more days for you. x
@RasperryInAMelon - my DD was 3/5 engaged for 2 weeks before she was induced, and this time my DS wasn't engaged at all until my contractions were started, and every time he moved he pushed out a little more water!
@EsmesBees - and anyone else with other littles like me (15months) when my DD was brought in to visit on Sunday evening she wouldn't come to me at all. No kisses or cuddles or even a hello and she wouldn't entertain baby at all. It broke my heart and made me cry. (As if the day hadn't been emotional enough!) however last night she was much better, and sat with me, and I got kisses and hugs from her, baby got strokes and a kiss, and this morning she's sent me a hello video with a kiss. I just wanted to mention it and let you know it seemed like a one off as it was a bit of a shock to me, so just be aware!
@EsmesBees &@Rustler74 - still nothing from @nursebickypegs either. It has been a while. I'm beginning to think dropping off is a planned move on her behalf which makes me feel sad. I do hope her and baby were ok, she was talking about an early May date wasn't she? x
@teainbed - they said my DD had jaundice at one day old and to Bfeed her more and keep her in sunlight where possible. (It was January) they've said the same now for DS, I just think it's their olive skin tone from their dad to be honest! Hope yours clears up soon.
I'm happy to share my birth story, however I don't want to be scaring the new people - did we decide if we're getting a new thread for them? x
Sorry - that post was mammoth! x

WishIWasSleeping · 25/04/2017 07:54

Ha! I didn't once touch the bold button on that message! Grin

Tickyboovicki · 25/04/2017 08:13

wish that is an absolutely gorgeous picture! Sorry to hear your daughter struggles, but it's great that she's warming up now! Must be such a big adjustment at that sort of age, regardless of how much we can try and prepare them for it.
Love to hear birth story and don't mind if it's this thread or another, think there was definite chat about a new thread though, particularly for those late may expectors!

Glad your hospitals stays been a good experience so far, fingers crossed you can go home soon and get confortable with your newest little one 😊

Tickyboovicki · 25/04/2017 08:18

Also just realised how many babies we have already and it's not even may yet 🙊 I'm 39 weeks today but it's my first so expecting to go over, just have to wait and see!
