Mrsshuvel · 13/03/2007 16:51

I need to work out how to add a profile first, i'm sure it's really straight forward and i'm just being thick.

Mrsshuvel · 13/03/2007 16:52

We'll all turn up on the same day to try the same dress!

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:52

I can help there. Click on "my mumsnet" at the top. Log in and then you can go through the options at the top of that page

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 16:53

if they have it in large then ill be fine

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 16:53

as our weeks go on we should do as meet up in the summer before our bumps arrive!! - thats if any of us are brave enough

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:56

I'd love to Pink, will just be so difficult because of the range of places we live though won't it ?
Hey.....if we all turn up to buy 'the dress' we can just do a dress share rota can't we?

Mrsshuvel · 13/03/2007 16:57

That sounds nice, put faces to the names. We could all turn up in the aqua dress. We'd be able to spot eachother then ;)

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 16:59

lol!!
Im only in Kent and know london/greenwich (which i love) really well so i am easy!! _ not that Kind of easy

20 pg women in a green dress, we would make headlines!!

jem1969 · 13/03/2007 17:00

I'd be the geriatric one- on your profiles you are all such young things! Can old ladies wear turquoise floaty dresses?

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 17:07

Hahahahah they'd think it was one of those internet things where loads of people just hit one place all at the same time randomly!!

katybird · 13/03/2007 17:52

That's a great idea, let's have a pregnant flash mob!

itchyncsratchy · 13/03/2007 19:34

Hi everyone!
I was in Crave on Kings Rd last weekend for the first time and was bit disappointed. They didn't have huge selection in store and there's a lot more in the catalogue and online. Push in Islington www.pushmaternity.com has a good maternity range with smarter things
I've been trying to find some decent jeans as living in cosy jogging pants suprised to find a great pair of over bump in H&m but shocked to see where those newly gained 8 kilos have attached themselves! Has anyone else found that the shock of the first trimester nausea has led them to eat anything they fancied with wild abandon? I think it became such a survival issue constantly trying to combat the dodgy quease the past 2 months I didn't seriously consider the effects of the extra 5000 calories combined with cessation of all exercise. I guess nows not the time to start squats and lunges

tokentotty · 14/03/2007 10:43

Right, that's it then Itchy et al. I'll order the frock. I think I'm going to get the cream now (much pondering last night) as
a: I don't want to stand out in such a bright colour I don't think.
b: Because I'll only have 5/6 weeks to go, people might mistake me for a blue whale and try and roll me into the font.
c: No idea what colour hat/shoes would go with it so am chickening out.
Itchy, I'm afraid now is definitely NOT the time to start Jane Fondaesque workouts ! I'm sure that once you can eat normally again this won't get worse and will just be regular pg gain from now on.
How's everyone else today ?

jem1969 · 14/03/2007 11:01

Knackered this morning and bump seems to have doubled in size

AND after standing for ages on the tube and finally getting a seat then had to offer another pg girl who was standing if she wanted to have my seat for a couple of stops and then keep swapping. (said no thank god as she was getting off soon). One bloke had practically pushed her out of the way to get to a seat. I REALLY wish I'd said something to him.

Moan moan! Apart from that am fine!

Really want the 20 week scan to come along as it's been such a long time since the 12 week one and I am natutrally a bit of a pessimist..

Washersaurus · 14/03/2007 11:09

Hi everyone, sorry been away for a while and have missed so much! DS is now all clear of chicken pox so I can sit down and relax today while he is at nursery .

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and it seems that all is well with LO. Sadly couldn't get a pic tho as in the wrong position.

I have been rebooked for another scan at 32 weeks as midwife was concerned I may have a low lying placenta (oooeeer), either that or she said it could have been due to my bladder being soooooo completely full and pushing the placenta down when they did the scan.

My bump is now MASSIVE, am looking properly preggers - some workmen even just shouted it from a rooftop (classy).

Baby is really kicking me hard now and DH felt it too last night.

tokentotty · 14/03/2007 11:25

Oh Jem what a nightmare on the tube. Am so lucky that I drive to work here in the Wharf as my blood pressure would be through the roof if I had to get the underground and then the Docklands trains everyday. Tube rage would be a new phenomena discovered by the Daily Wail - all started by one irate pg woman.....
Well Wash - hurray for chicken pox being over and a healthy 20 week scan! That's such a shame about not getting a picture though, I'd be refusing to leave without one. Oh dear, I think just the thought of trains is giving me Tube rage.

katybird · 14/03/2007 11:46

Hi everyone, thank god the sun is still shining this morning, I'm really knackered today but find it even harder to get up when the weather's miserable.

People are so rude on public transport! I'm lucky that I get the bus to work after rush hour so there's usually a seat. Maybe the more pregnant we get the more demanding we'll be about getting a seat. Surely no one would argue with a heavily pregnant woman?

Itchy - I have exactly the same problem, I normally eat quite healthily but went off vegetables completely with ms, ate loads of junk and am regretting that and the lack of exercise now!

tokentotty · 14/03/2007 11:54

I still can't seem to get up full stop. Not slept at all well the last two nights though so have taken tomorrow off work to 'rest' Got Cheltenham all day Friday which is going to be knackering as well, especially with five p*ssed blokes for company. Think I might regret going this year somehow !

tokentotty · 14/03/2007 12:00

Well, have amazingly managed to download a picture. It's of my bump the other week - a bit blurred but my friend in Oz wanted a sneak peak at how I was getting on and this was the result.

katybird · 14/03/2007 12:05

That's a great pic! You're much more defined than me but I've got more weight in that area to start with! I was going to wait till DP got back from his work trip with the camera and get him to take one, but I might have to try a self-portrait too.

itchyncsratchy · 14/03/2007 12:05

Hi everyone! I've resolved to eat more fruit n veg and stay away from the cheese, pasties and mr kiping pies!
Walking around shops seems to be the most exercise i'm getting but the nigging lower back pain keeps getting worse, i've been using those stick on heat pads and they're quite good
The acne is still horrible, i'm 33 for god sake! don't know how to combat zits and maintain anti wrinkle regime at same time i'm using clarins stop blemish as it has natural ingredients but is very drying Ach terrible! Also i had to miss the botox top up in february and my furrowed brow is returning, pregnancy is not kind!
Phew feels good to moan

tokentotty · 14/03/2007 12:07

Hahahahah like all the best pics, taken in the glamourous surrounds of work toilets ! My shape is changed daily by what I'm wearing. I walk in today wearing a white wrap top to be greeted with "What happened to your chest?" along with full hand gestures demonstrating that he seemed to think I'd had a boob job overnight...

pinkranger · 14/03/2007 12:10

itchyncsratchy · 14/03/2007 12:25
