Hmmmm... will have a look. The stuff I have so far from Formes is great but far too long for my legs (am 5'5"). What sort of length is the Crave stuff coming in at ? Will have a look anyway there and at the Seraphine shop. My friend told me about that 'Push' shop - and it's prices.....

jem1969 · 13/03/2007 14:52

I'm about 5,5 as well. Trousers are a good length for medium-ish heel. I think they come in 2 lengths

katybird · 13/03/2007 14:57

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine even if it's just from a distance!

I know what you mean about H&M t-shirts, I was really impressed with their stuff when I was shopping on Sunday. They do really comfy smart black trousers too, that fit perfectly (I'm 5'5" too). Desperate to find smart stuff though, will have to look at Crave and Seraphine.

What do you think of this for a wedding
dress

conkertree · 13/03/2007 15:10

I always thought (naively) that by the time it came to being pregnant, I'd be able to afford to just go out and spend some money on lovely maternity clothes. But then you get a mortgage, and a DH who spent too much on credit cards in his youth, and find that actually you are buying 4 pairs of trousers for £4.50 on ebay. Oh well, things could be worse and it is a lovely sunny day so that definately cheers me up.

tokentotty - what happened was - when I saw my GP @ around 7 weeks, I told him that I wanted to have my baby in St. Thomas as my son was born there 3 yrs ago. (I lived in NW at that time).
My GP told me that her patient had refused by St. Thomas last week as they had no more budgets and her previous 2 kids was also born there. He advised me to go Lewisham as 95% of his patients go there.
Few weeks later, I heard many horrible stories about lewisham. So, posted on MS to ask ppl about Kings' or Lewisham.
Mrsshuvel told me that she also lives in the same area as me and she has booked with St. Thomas. Thats why I went back to my GP last week and insisted him to get me the referral letter and I got myself booked with st. thomas now. Thats all!

I bought 2 normal tops from H&M at lunch time today. They're great!

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 15:26

Oh that must have been a real palaver Tiger. Am very glad to hear you've got it all sorted and got the hospital you want. I mentioned Kiteflying as if you haven't seen on our earlier thread she's been really messed about and doesn't even have a midwife, let alone a hospital/consultant

tigeryuan · 13/03/2007 15:33

it must be terrify for Kiteflying then.
I still have to sort out the 20-23 weeks scan with st thoma. but they told me I've to see the midwife & they'll arrange it.

tigeryuan · 13/03/2007 15:35

tokentotty - the dress is beautiful and i think the price is good too! is that for you?

Mrsshuvel · 13/03/2007 15:40

That's a beautiful dress!

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 15:42

thtas a lovley dress ,like it in the green!

TT - Have posted my profile and you can see ds looks nothing like an errol!

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 15:47

Oh what a pickle he looks !!! How lovely (and how envious am I of his lollipop may I add!). But no, NOT an Errol.... Although - please don't throw things at me Pink - I rather like the name Flynn. If it goes with your surname would it be an acceptable compromise? Unless you let DS choose and you do call DS2 Kevin !!
Yup, the dress is for me for a wedding at the end of June. It was actually the turquoisey one I meant to send the link of but in my useless way I posted the wrong one. Cream might be nice too as I've got long dark hair, dark eyes and tanned skin (look a bit spanish tbh), and then I could wear it with chocolate brown accessories so I don't look like I'm trying to compete with the bride !

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 15:55

I dont mind flynn, better then Kevin anyway ( no offernce to anyone with kevins)

That dress would be nice with brown, looks very comfy !!

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 15:57

lolliepop - we were at Disney and he picked the biggest one he could and he ate it all

jem1969 · 13/03/2007 16:13

ooh- i like that crave dress too. I've got a wedding to go to at the end of June as well- depending on how i feel as it's in the south of france and will be 32 weeks. I was thinking that I could waft around in the black dress I'm wearing to a party next weekend with big sunglasses looking all audrey hepburn-ish but I bet I'll feel like something more summery nearer the time... and wouldn't look remotely AH-ish anyway- more like a big sweating lump. I'll have spent my entire maternity pay on clothes before I leave work at this rate (and it's pretty rubbish to start with. At least the baby will be born in the summer so won't need many clothes itself...

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:13

Lol you're right - should be careful about disparaging remarks on any names...
The only thing with that dress is that I wish they'd had someone who obviously looked less like me modelling it and more noticeably pregnant so I could see how it sat when am fat as a house....

katybird · 13/03/2007 16:25

Gorgeous dress, quite tempted myself! You're right though, wish they'd use more realistic pregnant models.

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 16:35

do they have store where you can try it on ??

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:35

Am tempted to order it now so I've got loads of time to see what I think and find accessories etc. also, plenty of time to send it back if it's rubbish and doesn't look nice on real life pregnant women.

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:36

ah yes...good thinking Pink. You get to be voted "brains of the gang" today. will see if I can do that.

pinkranger · 13/03/2007 16:38

i know iahve seen some nice things and then when i try them on No way , they look bad now let alone in 10 weeks time!

Someone today asked me how long i have got left - am i really that big!!

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:40

d'oh.....Jem told us it was on the Kings Road earlier... God am dim today

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:41

Is it time we posted pictures of our bumps on our profiles perhaps ??? (Not that I know how or anything)

jem1969 · 13/03/2007 16:48

just a warning re 'Crave' (who I think should give me commission given the interest in their dress..)

I don't think they do everything in the shop so if you're making a special trip to try something in particular it's probably best to phone and check they have it

tokentotty · 13/03/2007 16:50

Good point. You can join Pink in the brains department today !
