Just thought I'd better kick a new one off...
Another day, another tearful outburst at work! It's getting very embarrassing Is it just me who feels like crying at the drop of a hat? Maybe it's lack of sleep, just not dealing very well with things that would not normally bother me, then something really small sets me off. cried in the toilets for 20 minutes today! Can't even explain why. Is this normal still at this stage?

mytwocents · 26/03/2007 15:11

Thnks H!! Yes , sputnik, clenching as i type!
Wondered as just got something resembling a libido back after months, feel very ungainly though....hmmmmmmm

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 15:14

I didn't just google orgasms, that would have been an interesting search! I might do it now and see what comes up ! All I could find on orgasms AND pelvic floor was the fact that doing pelvic floor exercises leads to stronger orgasms! I'm sure orgasms do something, they certainly feel like they do (sorry, maybe TMI )!

sputnik · 26/03/2007 15:22

Well, this afternoon's chat has been good for our pelvic floors at least then.

Builders just left and my kitchen has daylight, whoopee. I will forgive them the dust.

foxybrown · 26/03/2007 16:02

ohh you all make me laugh!

RedFraggle - well said!

Now what are these lindt eggs with soft stuff in them??

Where's Tallulabelle? She mentioned Refreshers the other day and I've been in 5 shops to get some and can't find any!!! Am becoming obsessed!

OMG, just been to Matalan for the first time. Bought a fab retro 70's style lamp for a tenner, and it is ace. Also got heaps of storage boxes, all sorts of things I don't really need. Best of all 5 pairs of huge 100%cotton knickers for £2.50! And unwired over the shoulder boulder holders for £4. Ideal for pregnancy (in that they will be binned in 16 weeks). That was after a trip to Ikea to buy the very, very last bit of storage. Now I have to tidy up.

Sputnik, what is it about your tights that sends fear into your dd? Are they THAT bad?

OK, now can nobody else join this thread unless their baby is due on 30th??!!!! Or I'm buggering off to the July thread!!

sputnik · 26/03/2007 16:44

Wish DD could've told me what the tights problem was, she just woke up in the middle of the night one night screaming "try mummy's tights" over and over for about half an hour. Who knows what goes on in the brain of a 2 1/2 year old?

marylou23 · 26/03/2007 16:47

First NCT class tomorrow, and thanks to you guys I'm worried that as soon as I open my mouth I'll be talking about orgasms and pelvic floor, calling people twunts and demanding refreshers. Am also slighty worried it's going to be all earnest with videos of people giving birth. What if I can't keep a straight face? What if I faint?!
Has anyone else's bump doubled in size overnight? Just been out and every time I caught sight of myself in a shop window I was like 'No, no, that's not me. It can't be...' It was, obviously. But DH keeps gently reminding me that I've been saying how much I've grown pretty much every day for the past month or so. He just smiles politely now...
Oh, and Lindt Schmindt. You have to try extra chocolatey chocolate orange biscuits from M&S. I'm addicted. (When they say extra chocolatey, they mean it. There's very little biscuit in them, to be honest... )

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 17:39

I'm sure you'll be fine marylou! Maybe you can desensitise yourself before going by watching Discovery Home & Health (if you have Sky). There are many gory programmes about giving birth on there and each one ends with a lovely squishy baby!!

Don't go foxy! I'll make up some imaginary person to come and join the thread whose edd is the 30th, just to make you feel better! Whoops, maybe I shouldn't have told you first! Good bargain buying BTW!! Maybe I shall visit Matalan for storage boxes! I'm drowning in toys and baby clothes! Alas my nearest Ikea is Croydon so is not really a practical visit, probably just as well, I'd prob go into labour through stress!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 17:41

Foxy for Refreshers I think your best bet would be a scabby old corner shop frequented by school children with their pocket money. I'm sure they still make them, but I haven't seen them for ages. What about Lovehearts?

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 17:47

The eggs are Lin D'Or and they do boxes of little round ones too. I found them a bit on the laxative side too, but thought that was just cos they have barley malt in them and i have coeliac disease (didn't find out until after I'd scoffed a whole box!!)

Feeling a bit more human today, so didn't go to the doc. I'm seeing the mw on Wednesday, so I'll try and chat things through with her.

Had a lovely lovely day today...the sun is shining, its warm, DH and I have bodded about all day and collected DS from school together and now man make heap big fire for a barbecue....if only for a few glasses of nicely chilled chablis, life would be perfect.

Sorted out our budget for the next year....sorting out where we can take repayment holidays etc, and it looks like it won't be as bad as we thought, which is a cheering thought. I've graciously agreed to give up my car....DH's is leased and its due to go back in May, so we're going to wave bye bye to it and then he'll use mine. Means I won't have a car for four days a week, but if I can't drive I can't visit the shops!! We will have to buy something when I go back to work next April, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Hi to RedFraggle...she used to be my favourite....hope you are doing OK.

Oh and finally...had the most vivid dream last night about giving birth in my mum's house and my sister had to help deliver the placenta (not the baby, she just fell out when I took my knickers off and then turned into a cat....obviously a recurrent theme) and it was really gruesome and horrible to the point I woke up screaming...think DH thought I was being murdered or something....horrible and so real!

Only four days left to work and then I'm free of the rat race for a whole year

RedFraggle · 26/03/2007 18:04

Hi everyone, my bump does definitely seem to go through growth spurts. SO I too have caught sight of myself in a mirror or shop window and thought "blooming heck - where did that come from? Wasn't this pregnant yesterday!"

I've been hitting the gaviscon bottle quite hard over the weekend. I thought I had a terrible stomach bug but it turned out to be indigestion!

Daisybump - I too have only about 4 days left in work! I finish next Wednesday (am part-timer though so only 4 actual days in) I cannot wait - will get to spend time playing with dd before this baby makes an appearance.... No more deadlines, or riddiculous questions from users! yay!

RedFraggle · 26/03/2007 18:05

ooops - meant to say also that I have resisited the easter eggs so far - but have a terrible addiction to Tunnocks teacakes....

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 18:18

Ahhh redfraggle, you have many friends on here! There are lots of Tunnocks teacakes addicts! I'm more of a caramel wafer type girl myself!

Glad you are feeling better daisy, sounds like you had a lovely day!

Ahhh...can't stop eating Mini Eggs!!!!!

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 18:29

My bump seems to have expanded overnight, and my backside has started growing too.....it's like I've got a shelf behind me . I'd been feeling quite neat and sprightly and from the front I didn't look too bad, in fact if I wear black I don't even look pregnant. Then today I caught sight of myself in a shop window side on and.....yikes! I should post up the photo of me the night before DS was born....really give all you first timers a fright !!

TALLULAHBELLE · 26/03/2007 18:32

H&A How did you go with the support belt thingy. I called the physio as per GP instructions, she just said Oh there's nothing we can do for you. You should buy a support for your pelvis. Very helpful! Have called hosp physio and left msg on machine but no one got back. Will let you know if they can give any more useful advice.

Sorry Foxy, should have checked if refreshers still on sale in local sweetie shop before mentioning. But you can order them from here: www.aquarterof.co.uk/refreshers-p-72.html
or here
www.britishcandy.com/retro_sweets2377.htm
Can't do link thing, bit of a luddite.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 18:34

I'm sorry to be rude, but this baby is kicking the shit out of me! I've just had my dinner and he's kicking my stomach and making me feel sick!

I look fine from the front too daisy, if I turn sideways I look like I've swallowed a football!

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 18:41

Only a football....mine is more like a beachball

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 18:41

Don't you just love the NHS Tallulah? It depends where you live as to how much help you get. I posted a thread about this and it seems that most people get to see an obstetric physiotherapist whenever they feel it is neccessary! I am going to get a belt from ebay as suggested by the lovely sputnik! They go for £10-20 on there. There's no point in buying a new one as I won't need it for very long.

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 19:40

thinking...where is everyone? I always seem to miss you all, but then I realised its kiddy bedtime...DH always does the honours when he is home, giving me time to catch up on rest...ironed for two and a half hours today and my calves are aching....off to watch Eastenders soon, so catch you all tomorrow....

sputnik · 26/03/2007 20:35

Good to hear you're feeling better Daisybump. I dreamt I had given birth to a cat too when I was pg with DD, haven't had it again though. Did you get yourself another cat in the end btw?

sputnik · 26/03/2007 20:40

Tallulahbelle, sorry to hear about your pelvic problems, at least you got off work though! I've been having problems too, on and off, but not too debilitating so far. Get a support belt asap, they're really good.

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 20:54

Hi Sputnik...not yet, whch would maybe explain the dreams!!

doggus · 26/03/2007 21:04

Sputnik - thank you for the Lindt tip, I would much rather that than eat bloody plums...

Welcome RedFraggle, oh fellow Tunnocks-lover.

Daisy - I dreamed my period started last night and the midwife just laughed..... I haven't had ANY of the erotic dreams we are supposed to have when we are pg, just horrible or random ones.

Foxy - mouse update. The little sod has evacuated the airing cupboard without going into the trap. When I came home I heard a funny noise in the garage - dh investigated and found a hole in a plastic storage box where we keep birdfood. On opening the box, this mouse sailed through the air over dh's head like Darcey Bussell and ran off...it has to be the same one as it was absolutely MASSIVE. Oh, and dh screamed like a girl! So now the trap is in the garage, baited with chocolate and birdseed. When/if you catch one, btw, you do need to take it half a mile up the road or it just comes back (speaking from experience here).

Bumper - tough call between spiders and mice I agree, but I would rather (just) have spiders as they don't crap everywhere. We have a little vaccuum cleaner type thing which hoovers them up gently and then you put them out. I know, we are such softies...

bumperlicious · 26/03/2007 21:14

Hi all, sorry I miss you all as usual during the day! Still, only 27 working days to go till I leave work! (still about 6 actually weeks).

Ah, fellow Lindt Lindor freaks like me! Actally I just finished a lindt lindor easter bunny today (I did nearly cry as I broke it up to eat it!) I love them sooo much, so soft in the middle - ngghnghdhngggn

Welcome to the newbies, what have you let yourself in for? Don't know about the other antenatal threads but we are very into eating, shopping and twunts!

Daisy, sorry to hear you are feeling so low, but sounds like thing are back on track with your twunt (the new official term for DPs and DHs).

Foxy, sorry things are a bit of a strain for you, you are obviously doing so much, what with your DC's and working hard in the gym. Should you be taking it a little more easy ?(and that's not just me saying that because I felt guitly for being so lazy myself!). Be kind to yourself, you are doing a fab job!

Feeling much better in general after my bone crunching session with osteo, but my back is aching so much at the moment, but strangely only at night. I must be sleeping funny but constantly waking up in agony. Sooooooo tired! Hopefully will pass out tonight though as just had a swimming lesson.

Catch up with you girlies soon anyway, sorry I miss all the daytime talk, but have wednesday off as it's my birthday (last child free one so I better get some damn good prezzies!).

OP posts:
Daisybump · 26/03/2007 21:37

Hi Bumper....try sleeping with a pillow between your knees...it helps with my sacro-iliac joint pain. Also, it might ease off a bit as after the first session I had with the osteo I could barely walk for two days.

Lindor...how do they do that with the cold stuff in the middle, its chocolate magic that's what it is!!

Doggus...I had a pretty x-rated one on Friday night, doing things I wouldn't dream of doing....with another (nameless/faceless thank goodness!) woman. Just realised how nonsensical that sounds as I was obviously dreaming of doing it . Now worried that I'm a closet lesbian . DH happy to hear about it though (now why didn't that surprise me )

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 21:40

Oops, meant to preview that first as not sure whether or not I should be sharing that with you, and pressed post instead of preview
