Just thought I'd better kick a new one off...
Another day, another tearful outburst at work! It's getting very embarrassing Is it just me who feels like crying at the drop of a hat? Maybe it's lack of sleep, just not dealing very well with things that would not normally bother me, then something really small sets me off. cried in the toilets for 20 minutes today! Can't even explain why. Is this normal still at this stage?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm having a down day today. I had cholestasiss with first pregnancy and knew there was every chance i would get it again. I had a bllod test at 27 weeks and all was fine. I think i got my hopes up and was feeling really positive that i wouldn't get it but started itching again a couple of days ago.

Blood test today confirmed it is on its way back again {sad}

Now were talking premature labour, many trips up to hospital to be monitored regularly and huge risks to my baby. The hospital were fantastic last time and i have every confidence in them but no-one really knows what is going on inside do they??

Sorry for the moan, i hope everyone else is well

doggus · 26/03/2007 21:55

Daisy - LOL at you inadvertently posting...I think if I have a dream like that I am not even going to mention it to dh, it would be too much for him!

Nannyjo, I am really sorry to hear about the cholestasis (sp). I don't know much about it, apart from the terrible itching, but just wanted to pass on some virtual sympathy and good luck wishes.

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 21:58

Glad someone is still talking to me and not thinking I'm some kind of weirdo. Now off to drool over Dr Kovac in ER to prove my heterosexuality

Daisybump · 26/03/2007 22:00

Sorry Nannyjo...didn't mean to ignore your plight...sounds horrible, but at least it sounds like you'll be getting good care. I don't know much about it other than an increased risk of still birth. Is there anything they can do with medication at all?

nannyjo · 26/03/2007 22:02

Thanks

Medicines can reduce itching but not help with the whole process of OC but there is not enough evidence that medicines are safe so i'd rather suffer and know i'm doing everythin i can to help baby.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 26/03/2007 22:12

Lol at your dream daisy! At least it was a nice dream. I keep dreaming that horrible things happen to my dd, in my dreams she has been run over, squashed by a boa constrictor, drowned in the garden by falling down the manhole in the patio plus many more. They really horrible and vivid.

at your OC nannyjo. Hope you are ok and all goes well. The itching must be awful and the worry must be worse.

Sputnik are you around? I've been looking at these belts and I'm not sure which one to get. There are thin ones like this or fatter ones like this . What kind do you have? I'm really confused. I think the fatter ones look better as they look like they are more supportive, but I'm really not sure.

Goodnight everyone, sleep well !

TALLULAHBELLE · 27/03/2007 09:36

Fat one looks like would give a lot more support, doesn't it. I'm heading into mothercare today, I thnk someone said they sell them so I'll have a look.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 27/03/2007 10:02

I'm thinking the fat one too. Looks like it would do more holding in. Only think is will it be too hot? Mmmmm...confused!

Lilkel are you there? You haven't posted for ages, are you ok? Maybe you are just having a life, unlike me!

derlor · 27/03/2007 10:15

GOOD MORNING.. was working yesterday then knackred in the evening so didn't get chance to check in. have just caught up on all the events i missed and have a few comments to make (not like me!!!)

  1. thank you for the suggestions in how to respond to rude park lady - actually she is kind of fat and i wish i had been quick enough to think of saying i'll only be pg for 10 more weeks etc... incidently i was actually wearing size 10 hipster jeans under my bump hugging top/dress thing NOT even maternity ones so UP HER ARSE!!!!
  2. loving the idea of orgasms being linked with pelvic floor. i'm seeing the mw tomorrow wonder if i'll be brave enough to ask! ...... (i challange you ALL to ask at your next appt)
  3. I live about 10 miles away from the actual tunnocks factory - yumarooney ladies,(note to self) must drop into the factory shop and pick up a selection of reduced price bashed box goodies - never been but seemingly you can get big selection boxes for next to nothing teecake anyone???
  4. my local WH Smith sells refreshers if you need some i'll be happy to send you a wee parcel!! just say the word.
  5. just like Foxy i'm not familiar with lindt egg things - i am currently addicted to drifters - mmmmm off to my cupboard RIGHT now. more later drifter time......................
sputnik · 27/03/2007 10:19

Was wondering about Lilkel too, also Annobal hasn't been around for ages. Hope all is ok with them.

Bump belts: I have 1 like the thinner one and it seems to work fine, I think maybe the wider one might feel hot, like you say, and feel uncomfortable when you bend over. I guess it would be best to try them on if you can. Maybe depends on the level of support you need.

Haven't had any sexy dreams at all lately, but did have 1 where DD and DH were run over, plus several dreams about small babies.

Daisybump, maybe a kitten would be a good pressie for your DS when the baby comes?

PS H&A, thanks for the "lovely sputnik" yesterday

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 27/03/2007 10:38

Thank you lovely sputnik !! I have just ordered one of the thinner ones from Figleaves. I have a code for 20% off plus free delivery so it was only £8 and they do free returns so if it doesn't work I'll just send it back. If anyone wants the code just let me know!

Lol at asking your mw delor! I think mine would die if I asked her that, she is quite old and semi-retired! Also at your size 10 jeans!

derlor · 27/03/2007 11:59

holly, i didn't say my jeans were fastened just that i had them on!!!! no one can see the string holding them up under my top!!
very jealous at your sexy dreams - in fact any sort of dreams at all i am realy struggling to sleep just now was STILL tossing and turning at 03.30 this morning i just can't get comfy or when i do i get all twitchy then i'm uncomfy again never mind the size of my bump, it's the size of the bags under my eyes that are concerning me at the mo. oh well, just preparation for the arrival i suppose.
maybe another drifter will help!!......

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 12:50

pelvic floors ladies

now you are all clenching

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 12:51

Nannyjo, sorry to hear about that. A friend of mine suffered from the same and it drove her mad. Really do feel for you

derlor · 27/03/2007 13:05

Nanjo, just read back over the thread and apologise for completely missing your post. i feel for you and now wish to apologise for complaining about the bags under my eyes - not exactly serious on the grand scheme of things
hugs to you

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 27/03/2007 13:06

No, I'm not clenching, can't be arsed!!

derlor · 27/03/2007 13:11

every time i read or hear the word 'clench' i just can't help myself - it's like some sort of magnetic impulse!!!
maybe i need some sort of therapy

derlor · 27/03/2007 13:13

too many 'some sorts' sorry.

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 13:31

I had the freakiest dream last night, in was really, really f*ed up infact. It involved me acting in a film with Madonna and David Jason. OK, that sounds a bit star struck. But imagine David Jason as he is now, but the size of an 18 month old. And as I was throwing him up in the air and catching him, as you do with babies, he chomped down on my neck and wouldn't let go.

WTF??!!

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 13:35

I have five packets of refreshers!!!

Whats up Holly? Can't be arsed?? Come, come!

V jealous that you can even get your arse in a pair of size 10's Delor!

Doggus, you know that is the ACTUAL Angelina Ballerina mouse you have there. And now you can't kill her because you'll traumatise too many small girls. (heh heh heh)

derlor · 27/03/2007 13:36

ROFL foxy - wonder what a dreams analysis person (if that is what they are called) would make of that!!!!

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 13:40

It was really strange!

Luckily it was followed up by one about the guy from Life on Mars, again. I keep having saucy dreams about him. Oddly though, I don't (consciously) fancy him, but I am quite looking forward to watching tonights then going to bed

I am quite desperate for sex though. TMI? Sorry. Am in catch 22 situation - Twunt is still a PITA, am fairly sure that it is down to lack of sex (I mean, a real drought here). I'm desperate, but can't bear to go near him while he's acting like a prick. Sorry. That really is TMI.

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 13:42

Oh dear! Have just remembered this is public ..

derlor · 27/03/2007 13:46

well foxy as resident 'dr ruth' i will reccommend a trip to ann summers for a rampant rabbit - great for your frustrations and pelvic floor muscles aparantly

foxybrown · 27/03/2007 13:54

you are right derlor! I do have something similar but it has a loose connection so works intermittently. How annoying is that?!

Should really change the subject.

Except I can't think about anything else.

lunch. I'll think about food instead
