Just thought I'd better kick a new one off...
Another day, another tearful outburst at work! It's getting very embarrassing Is it just me who feels like crying at the drop of a hat? Maybe it's lack of sleep, just not dealing very well with things that would not normally bother me, then something really small sets me off. cried in the toilets for 20 minutes today! Can't even explain why. Is this normal still at this stage?

God, Tunnocks tea cakes, I love them, me and dh ate a whole box in quarter of an hour last time I Ocado'ed. One of the reasons I love dh is he is just as greedy as me!

I am really really grateful to all of you for sharing your experiences particularly as I am a first time complete novice. None of you is in the least bossy. I was trying to make my mind up between NCT and NHS, I am actually too late for NCT, so NHS it is. I am also really pleased that the GP surgery group worked for you H&A as I had been toying with that too.

doggus · 14/03/2007 20:16

Holly - aren't you absolutely knackered after insomnia and playing? Have you got Sky - you could hide in the bedroom and watch telly in the bed, which always makes me feel faintly guilty, for some reason.

foxybrown · 14/03/2007 20:16

Thanks

foxybrown · 14/03/2007 20:17

and its Tunnocks Caramel Wafers for me. Ooooh, so substantial!

hollyandalice · 14/03/2007 20:22

I am knackered, but I don't feel like it's bed time yet! I think I'll go about 9. I have Sky, but not upstairs so I'll go and read a Harry Potter book, they always send me to sleep!!

I also love Tunnocks Caramel Wafers. I can't buy them very often coz I eat them so quickly. I love them, they remind me of my school lunchbox!

Daisybump · 14/03/2007 20:34

Yay...people to talk to. Missed the tea party but couldn't eat cakes anyway due to gluten intolerance. Next time I'll bring some meringues (still gooey in the middle tut tut) or some flapjacks as I can tolerate oats in small doses.
just passing 10 mins before the results show of Fame Acadamy...is it just me or is Tara Palmer Whatsersocks uttrly rubbish. I'm sure she's a lovely girl but she cant sing for toffee and basicallt talks through every song. I think she must be paying of her fellow students and getting all her oiky rich mates to cast loads of votes in her favour. Go Colin...i know he's not the best singer, but he has cute appeal!!
My ante-anatal classes weren't up to much with DS. They were over two full days and it was just too much to take in. I was single at the time and took my sis (my official birthing partner) along to the first one and felt like a lemon as it was all couples apart from one girl who was on her own. The following week sis couldn't make it and the single girl had brought her mum so I was on my own and it was the exercise classes and I had to partner the instructor. though about some refresher ones this time around as it was all a bit disastrous for me last time, but I don't think I'll bother...with DH away through the week I'll be on my own again and I can't face the humiliation. wish I was one of those strong minded types, but I feel like Norma no mates if I have to go for a coffee on my own.

Well ramble over....I miss having an adult to talk to, goodness knows how bad it'll be after I've given up work)
Bump feeling really tight and unconfortable and pain under ribs is horrible. think I'm just sitting scrinched up and bubba showing her discomfort.
can't remeber who asked, but mw couldn't tell what way up she was at last appointment, but it's definately her head butting my ribs (you can feel how hard it is) and it feels like lots of feet bouncing on my cervix. Still lots of time to turn around though.

Catch you all tomorrow...I'm off for an early night after Fame Academy

hollyandalice · 14/03/2007 20:39

IKWYM about talking to adults daisy. Sometimes I only speak to my dp all day and he doesn't really count (having the mental age of a four year old!!)!

I am bad. I have only been to see my mw twice so far!! I just don't see the point. I am fine, my baby is fine and I have no questions. Maybe I'll book an appt for next week.

hollyandalice · 14/03/2007 20:41

Haven't been watching Fame Academy much, but whenever I do Tara PT always seem sooo sweaty! Surely she can afford to have some sort of non sweaty treatment. It's gross!!

Seansgirl · 14/03/2007 21:16

I don't think you're bossy Foxy, you just have a experience that you have shared with us thats all. I would have said them BTW think go to all thats offered you don't know who'll be there until you get them and you'll either love or hate them!

Holly us tallies do have a crap time with lengths it makes me very annoyed as long sizes always sell out very quickly from next as do size 9s. To me its crap business as this always happens and they never seem to be prepared for it if they made more they would get more sales. Its not a difficult business concept i don't think! Grrr... no more moaning!

Back off to watch Grand Designs - one of my favs!

Seansgirl · 15/03/2007 07:57

Morning all! very disappointing Grand Designs, it was more Mad Designs than Grand!

Lovely morning DD at home all day - so have swimming lesson lined up for her and a play date this afternoon. Might be serving up some of Foxys scones - they should go down a storm!

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 08:11

Good morning!! Had a reasonable nights sleep last night so am feeling ok today !

IKWYM seansgirl. My feet are a large size 8. I have a very high instep so am generally more comfortable in a 9, but have to squeeze my massive plates of meat into 8s more often than not!! If my feet were any smaller I'd fall over!!

It's a bit of a shitty day today so am going to make the gingerbread cookies I was going to make yesterday. Dd is obsessed with the teletubbies so I'm going to make round biscuits with smiley faces on so they look like tubby toast!!

Seansgirl · 15/03/2007 09:39

You're right Holly, weather has turned for the worse .

Had nightmares last night that woke up this morning and you guys (girls) weren't here as MN wasn't somehow (as only in dreams) we were all trying to get each others emails so we could stay in touch and Sputnik was setting up a website just for us June girls! Weird. At least it didn't involve sex like the night before - ((whispers) and not with DH )!Am hoping they don't get more and become more u certificate than over 18s only!

marylou23 · 15/03/2007 09:40

Tubby toast! Ahh!
Me, I'm going to have another cup of tea, perhaps a tunnocks tea cake, and get on with some work . It's lovely here, again - blue skies, little breeze... I love the spring so much. But is surely a day for the park not sitting at a computer.
By the way, do any of you ever have a lopsided stomach?! not all the time, but this baby of mine seems to like hanging out on the right hand side. he goes there for twenty minutes at a time, kind of curls up in a ball and I'm looking at my stomach with a slightly perplexed expression (feels weird, too), and then he's back to the centre. Never the left, though.

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 09:45

marylou!! It's horrid here! Really cold and grey !! I too get lop-sided bump, my lo seems to be trying to climb out! Hopefully he'll leave the actual climbing out for a few more weeks yet!!

Do you think my dd is big enough to help me with the baking? Maybe I'll just make my biccies and she can do the eating!

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 09:47

Lol at the dream seansgirl! I have had some strange ones, but only one kinky one (I was about Paul from Tikkabilla)!!

marylou23 · 15/03/2007 09:57

Hey, I'd enjoy the dreams. Got to take get your pleasure where you can!!
Sorry about your crap weather...
I bought some perineal massage oil yesterday ('conditioning for down under') which supposedly keeps the tissues 'flexible, supple and elastic' - in other words, pushing a not-so-LO out will be a piece of piss. (That's not actually on the bottle, but it's kind of implied). Am looking forward to applying it with regular massages (or getting DH to) but before I do, has anyone else tried it? Does it work, or have I just been seduced by the nice sounding aromathetapy components and the idea of being tear-free?

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 10:01

I never used it marylou, though I wish I did!! I couldn't use it now though, the thought of massaging that area sends shivers up my spine! 2nd degree tear and stitches made it a bit tender! Good luck with the massaging though and hope it works!!

Seansgirl · 15/03/2007 10:30

Never heard or tried it Marylou! Think if I tried it might encourage some more kinky dreams (thankfully not Paul from Tikkabilla - has been men I know + 1 ex - not all at the same time I hasten to add)

Let us know if its any good - would thought getting you're DH to do it good idea after all he can see what he is doing much better and I'm sure he'll enjoy it too!

Holly - she could do some stirring? or I found given DD some plastic bowls and wooden spoons and some dried pasta she felt like she was joining in. Yours for tea then?

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 10:36

Just put them in the oven! Dd "helped" by sitting on the kitchen floor with her own little bowl with some raw mixture in and stirring it and saying "mixey, mixey, mixey"! Then she ate it! She is a good helper!
15 mins and we'll see if they have worked. Mine for elevenses?

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 10:50

Out of the oven now! 10 mins or so to cool and they'll be ready! If no-one is around I'll have to eat them all by myself!!

marylou23 · 15/03/2007 10:52

I'm here! I'm here! Shall I put the kettle on? I've brought some hob nobs, too...

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 10:54

Oooo....plain or chocolate? Tea for me please!! I'll go and get the biccies! They are tubby toast shaped..yum!!

marylou23 · 15/03/2007 11:04

Sorry, got distracted by phone call. Tea's up, milk and sugar are on the table. And of course the hob nobs are chocolate - what do you take me for?

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 11:07

Mmmm these biccies are yum! Thanks for the cuppa and the hob nob!

Hope lilkel's flight was ok!

hollyandalice · 15/03/2007 11:09

I may get some of that oil marylou. I'm so paranoid about tearing again. I'm also a bit squeamish about touching the scar, but I might just grin and bear it!
