How is everyone??

Man, you talk for England! Can't keep up!!

I've been feeling very sick all day yuk - bad reflux, sore throat and generally feeling unwell -not nice.

Yvie - I post your Baby Show ticket 1st Class today - Let me know when it arrives safely!

Hope everyone is ok ....

Ellie - I've already done it [smug]
Only joking - that made me laugh! Cast your bump in plaster
Actually that would make quite a nice souvenir...

CD, sorry you've been feeling ill.

Does anyone else feel as though they're getting their MS back? I ahve been for the last week or so. No the nausea, just the gagging (sorry, TMI!)

Ellie - hope things went OK on the phone to Stephen - let us know & thinking of you.

Ellieump · 02/03/2007 08:00

they were interviewing for my replacement at work yesterday (i'm a temp so won't be going back there) so i get to go in today and find out how it went. makes me quite sad cos tho i have days where i hate the job i have just as many where i love it!

A firned???...friend

GirtWaspbElly · 02/03/2007 09:52

Oh I'm glad there are other quickies on the thread too - and one my buddy I was 2 hours from first contraction to baby, and the only pain relief I managed to get was one and a half paracetemol (I crushed the other half ) Hoping to be as lucky, although I was definately in shock afterwards I'll know that I can do stuff to slow things down a little/feel more in control.

I lurrve crunching ice-cubes too - yum.

SOL did you go to Manor Park? I've not been round the farm yet - but was hoping to this spring with cameron & the lo.

Didn't occur to me to put a waterproof layer on our bed last time - so I guess was lucky they burst with a bang once fully dilated, on the loo!

Midwife appointment this pm so a half day - yay!

Names: I know a grown up Tristan - called Tris by all & sundry, I quite like it, and love the myth/story.
Have to say I'd be tempted to give an Ernie the long version - the old 'high court judge arguement' - Ernest, and you can call him what you will in the family. It's why if a girl we have a Thomasine for a Tamsin.

Whendoobygotstuckupthechimney · 02/03/2007 10:00

Hi Everyone.
Gonna catch up in a min[again]
Thanks for the mail Weeonion..have replied.
Saw midwife yesterday..date for section 2nd April[gulp].
My spd is sooooo painful.Still would rather have that than toothache..had one out the other day.
Midwife said baby about 5 and a half pounds!
Feel quite tearful at the moment but i think that is normal(?).
It is bucketing with rain here and really windy which is a great combination.
I hope you all have a lovely day.

Bramshott · 02/03/2007 10:03

Morning all. Have just finished catching up on yesterday's hilarity! Glad someone has tried the massage - I haven't yet, but have sort of waved oil in the general direction - need to get more pro-active!!

Went for AN appt yesterday and had my last scan. All good - baby head down, and they reckon it weighs 5lbs 10oz already! My God, if it stays in another 5 weeks it will be the size of a small whale!!

Feeling a bit 'jumpy' as when I was at the hospital I went to the loo and noticed some blood on wiping. Doctor had a good rootle around and said he couldn't see any real reason for it, so was all fine, but can't help remembering that spots of blood is how it all kicked off for me last time. Arggh, no, I need at least another couple of weeks to get sorted!! Must admit, I did come home and throw some more stuff in my hospital bag. Must send DH up into the loft tomorrow to get some baby clothes and bits down.

Going to get my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow morning - 3 hours of sitting down reading magazines in peace - bliss!

Have a good day - it's very springlike here!

35 weeks on Sunday - woo-hoo!

Bramshott · 02/03/2007 10:07

Dooby - glad to hear they reckon yours is 5lb+ already too! I must admit, when she said it, it sounded very big for this gestation. Then remembered that Ooogs was told she has two 5lb-ers!

Reading Bounty book last night for hospital bag tips was to see that they cite one of the signs you are going into labour as "feeling tired and heavy, and perhaps a little bit depressed"!! That'll be me most days then!

Bramshott · 02/03/2007 10:44

Where have you all gone?!? Don't say I'll have to go and do some work?!

Smole · 02/03/2007 11:00

Oooh I must be having a little baby then as at my scan 2 weeks ago they reckon it was only about 3lbs 7oz.

Whendoobygotstuckupthechimney · 02/03/2007 11:12

Don't bet on it Smole. My 31 week scan the baby was about 3lb 10.I was 34 weeks yesterday!and told 5 and a half pounds.
My first ds was also about 3lb 10 at 31 weeks and he was 9lb 10 when he was born!

charNbump · 02/03/2007 11:18

HELLCAT!!!!!! come back!!!!!!!!!!! lol. I haven't got ur email address yet? x

Morning all! i'v ebeen signed off from work........i have sciatica - nice! x

Smole · 02/03/2007 11:30

Noooooooo Dooby don't say that.

eca · 02/03/2007 11:40

hey lovlies!

Sis has gone home this morning, so I'm back! Can't believe how much catching up I've got to do! Not making any promises and, at a quick glance, it's been bonkers on here! I've missed all the fun! Ha!

I had lovely time with sis. Well, had one day where I was puking all day - not so lovely - but had a whole day shopping yesterday! Woohoo! And there was a Blooming Marvelous shop to look in too! Great stuff.

Hilarious comedy moment in John Lewis shopping for nursing bras - baby was having a right wriggle (could have been the giant hot choc i'd just knocked back!) and I was feeling dizzy/huffy/sick etc and so ended up on all fours on the floor while sis was looking for sizes. The sales assistant started to try and tell me they don't like to fit nursing bras until 2wks before the due date and I had to tell her that it was highly unlikely that I would manage a shopping trip then as I was 6wks now and had ended up on the floor! She took me to the changing room and my sis heard her go and tell another sales assistant that they might need to call an ambulance! !!

And nearly died of shock when they recommended a 36H! Ahhh!

Also started NCT classes this week. That was why I was sick. 2hr round trip and doesn't finish until 10pm. Gutted. But, even though I was sick twice on the way home and alot the next day, is definately worth it and am going to persevere! Perhaps it will be a bit easier next week! [hopeful emoticon]

Hope everyone's ok. Am off to try to catch up a bit with what you've all been up to! I know i need to e-mail Ellie, so will sort that too!

xx

maveta · 02/03/2007 11:51

Morning! Actually doing some work today - shock of all shocks. Can't believe you all have an idea of how much your baby weighs. My midwife has never suggested she might know. She is SO USELESS. She didn't even seem particularly sure which way he was lying. Oh well. 3 weeks today I have another scan so hopefully they can give me an idea.

Only 4 weeks of work left .. 12 days! yay!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 02/03/2007 13:49

Hello!

Only managed about 15 mins of ironing last night, and my back was agony! Hopeless.
Had yet another dry night though with B, so fingers crossed, that is it, and I will stop repoting on here each day!

CD, sorry to hear you are feeling pants. Hope you feel better soon.

MIABT, glad to hear you got a "lie-in" from James this morning!

Char, hope the sciatica isn't too awful.

Waspelly, it was Longdown Dairy Farm that we went to. It is fab. Manor Farm is a bit pants really - small, and not much to do. Longdown is really a full day trip and Becky loves it. She wanted to go again today!

How is everyone else. Forgottten everything else - bloody hopeless!

Dh is away this weekend ski touring with a pal. So, heading to my parents tomorrow and back again Sunday sometime. I just hope he is careful, as it is not like regular piste ski-ing. Why can't he go on a lads trip to Magaluf or something!

Anyway, better get on. At work, and so ridiculously busy.

Back later. xx
