(...and have a wee "lift" in the process, me thinks!! ) Would LOVE to be a 32D / DD again - 32GG and 5" tall is taking the p*ss - sore shoulders / back - ow, ow, ow!!

Hope everyone has good evenings ......

Hi guys...

went to the midwife today cos I am experiencing itchy skin all over... so am off to hospital tomorrow to get it all checked out!! I can't remember what she called it but its something to do with my liver and if its bad I could have to have the baby delivered early... Not too sure how I feel about that???

I hope everyone else is well however on a good note I am 1/5 engaged which is early... she thinks so maybe I will end up having a March baby instead of an April?? Anyone else in this position??

I will let you know how it goes tomorrow...

Take care

twinkle183 (34+4)

weeonion · 28/02/2007 20:19

twinkle -i have heard something about this before - i think there was someone else on this thresad that was worried about it? i dont know anything really but i hope it goes ok for you tomoorw. xoox

Eddas · 28/02/2007 20:22

Twinkle i has a really itchy bump but my doctor said she was sure it was my stretchmark cream(that was my thought too)and it was just my bump too. Did a blood test and all came back fine so fingers crossed you are ok.

Feel for you with the itching tho as i've got rid of the cream rash and now have bloomin heat rash(for last 2 days) It's so annoying and kept me awake last night, fingers crossed it'll go soon

runnyhabbit · 28/02/2007 20:43

If we can talk this much now, imagine when we're all on ML

Only 2 mornings left before my ML starts - yay!

My sis is due to have her tummy tuck in June, because of all the weight she's lost (and kept off for over 18mths) she's going to ask for a boob lift at the same time My boobs have grown quite a bit with this pregnancy, but doesn't look much compared to the size of bump. Have told dh that after we've finished having children I def want a boob job. Nothing massive, just more in proportion with the rest of my body.

Happy Birthday AngeG xxxxx

Maveta - I'm about 5'7/5'8 - I was 64kg (10st2) at the start, and I now weigh 78kg (12st2) its all bump - feel like I have a cannon ball strapped to my tummy!

Ellie - hope its ok with Stephen

Twinkle - my tummy was itchy around 30 weeks, and they did a blood test to check for the liver condition. My cousin had it with her ds1 and everything was ok, so try not to worry too much (easier said than done though)

sospl - I've had some really sharp pains too and reminded me of a really bad period - all whilst in Boots getting my arnica and witch hazel! Came home and had a sleep, and they eased off a bit.

Can I join the bad/guilty mummy club too? At least from next week I won't have to rush around in mornings quite so much.

Sorry if I've missed anyone

can feel a munchie attack coming on so am going to raid the kitchen.....

runnyhabbit · 28/02/2007 20:45

twinkle - forgot to say I wore loose (or should I say, looser) clothing for a few days, and that did help to relieve the itching for a bit. Then it just stopped completely.

Hope everything goes ok tomorrow x

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 28/02/2007 21:14

Hi ladies

Twinkle, good luck tomorrow. My cousin had cholestasis when she was pg with twins, and it must have been dealt with/cleared up, as she went full term and had the babes naturally. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Runny. The pains I have had haven't really been like period pain as such - more like a sharp knife pain when the baby moves/stretches lasting only a few seconds. Really takes your breath away.

Hope everyone is ok.

WestCountryLass · 28/02/2007 21:27

Eaten like a pig today and now feel so stuffed I can hardly move

muminabigtumi · 28/02/2007 21:47

Eddas, AngeG and Bramshott...
thanks so much - it does help to know other people feel the same way about their DD/DS. I know in my heart that he is not coming to any harm but it I get so frustrated with myself at my lack of energy and ability to do things with him
x

maveta · 28/02/2007 21:52

Hi Twinkle. good luck for your tests x

Runny - I wish. Up until a couple of weeks ago I think I really thought it was all bump but I had a good look at my arse the other night and it is GI.NORMOUS.

Oh well. No going back, hey?!

muminabigtumi · 28/02/2007 21:54

My tips...
I have two

1 - "Sleep is for the weak"
2 - " take a pictureof them every week at least as you will not beleive how fast they grow up" - ENJOY!
x

muminabigtumi · 28/02/2007 22:02

Good luck tomorrow twinkle...hope all will be ok for you.
Right I am off to bed - can barely keep my eyes open.

Wishing you all a restful nights sleep free from cramp, loo stops, snoring husbands and waking children

xxxx

hotlipsmummy · 28/02/2007 22:04

evening ladies. Just been to preg yoga, was the "fear" workshop this evening which ended being all talk and no yoga. Still its always really useful talking to other mums/pg ladies. At least half the class are 2nd or 3rd timers as well.

Like the tips talk ... mine... well

  1. agree with taking loads of photos, it feels like ages at the time but the baby phase is over so quickly!
  2. am also a fan of her who cannot be mentionned but not "literally". Think it can really work as a guide and that you should primarily listen to what your baby is telling you. Routine is key to young children feeling safe and secure though...
  3. preserve with bf and try to give it 6 weeks if you can, it really can take that long to settle down and is soooo worth it!

Ummm that's it - desperate housewives is calling!

zazas · 28/02/2007 22:29

Wow - came on tonight and saw there was a new thread and there was over 300 postings since yesterday! It is too late to take it all in but I have sent my email address now!

Waiting for Desperate Housewives to start - knacked as we were woken up last night at 4am - not by the kids or by pregnancy but the bloody neighbours have the loudest SEX! It went on for nearly an hour and of course I couldn't go back to sleep. Have lived in this house for over 5 years and never heard them before - at once stage tried to tell DP that maybe she was actually being hurt - should we do something!!! The lack of sleep brought back newborn memories though...oh dear!

Other than that - is it enough that have I read what everyone is up to and thinking of those who have tests etc and are worried? Can't remember all the specifics - hats off to those who do.

Had my Doula visit this afternoon - lovely lady and a good laugh - I feel she will sort me out in labour when on past performances I seem to get to a point and decide that I have had enough and want out .

For those who are also having homebirths - do you think that you also need to pack a hospital bag - just in case???

OK better waddle off to the sofa - goodnight all!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 01/03/2007 07:56

Morning all. Hope you had nights free of cramp, wee stops, waking children and neighbours at at!!! I have to say I love living in a detached house, as snobby as that may sound, but at least we can't hear anyone and they can't hear us - not that there is much action going on in this house!

Had quite a good night last night - no cramp, or indigestion and just 1 wee stop. And, Becky was dry again this morning - what a start God love her!

Right, need to get on.

Love to you all. x

YvieE · 01/03/2007 08:03

Morning

SOSPL - How do you manage just 1 wee stop? I've tried cutting out late night drinking but it's like my bladder knows there is a toilet only seconds away and I'm averaging about 6 times a night.

Twinkle hun - good luck with the tests, will be thinking about you.

AngeG - How was BD dinner last night?

Off to the AN appt this am - so will chat later

maveta · 01/03/2007 08:10

Morning! No wee stops for me either, at most I only do one.. the bathroom is right at the other end of the flat and in the middle of the night it feels like a 10 minute walk so really try to avoid having to get up.

As for a detached house, sounds like bliss. Our landlord lives downstairs, he´s this little old 60 something year old man, all big santa claus belly with his pants pulled up ooooover the tummy. Well he won the lottery a while ago, sold his bar and married a Cuban woman of 38 (who still lives in Cuba). He spends most of his day listening to very loud cuban music and I just have this image of him jiggling around his living room shaking his booty.
