Trust you weeonion, dropping your ice cream all over the May girls.

Ellie, hope things work out with stephen, second what weeonion says although sounds like you do know that.. I'll NEVER understand how that works..if someone reads something they shouldn't be reading, in my mind they lose their rights to get on their high horse about what they read.

My mum ALWAYS read my sisters' diaries etc. and then confronted them about the contents. She still does variations of this to this day. I just learnt never to keep a diary. And to hide anything I didn't want her to 'stumble' over when she came to stay. Don't get it. I don't get it!

Birdiebump · 28/02/2007 16:34

1b3 - I think (no, I am sure) that my DH wishes I could be a bit more like you - he likes to be organised/disciplined etc and my laissez-faire ways drive him mad!

maveta · 28/02/2007 16:36

and were they, weeonion?? My poor boobs, there wasn't much to start with, they've had a good run in this pregnancy, come into their own a bit. Enjoyed life, you might say. Risen to other people's expectations even. And then pfffffffffft. Two little spaniel's ears. I can just see it now.

YvieE · 28/02/2007 16:37

Yaayyyyyy I won something, sorry abit excited I never win anything.
Thanks CD. Unlike your afternoon though - mine is just dragging

1becomes3 · 28/02/2007 16:41

Hey birdie we will have to do a DH swap!
Mine thinks I nag to much, but it's the only way I get anything useful out of him.

weeonion · 28/02/2007 16:43

maveta - have to say - she didnt have the finest pair of norks left. i am all for us women doign whatever we want with our bodies and what we are happy with but - a bit of an uplift bra could have given here a waist.

one of the nice things about being pg has been teh boobs. have had to be careful to not spend too much time rubbing them in public! i used to be a 44EE, lost weight and went to a 34B (sad, tragic loss where an industrial strength underwire was required!), now up to a 38DD and know after BF - there'll be 2 sad and floppy envelopes with buttons on the ends. may not be to everyones taste but i am getting a boobjob and tummy tuck in the near future.

1becomes3 · 28/02/2007 16:43

And while we are on about sagging norks, I never had and before I got pg with DD and now am 25 and I already have them, after the DT's I am sure they will be bouncing around by my knees.

maveta · 28/02/2007 16:46

weeonion - I´m with ya sister! I am very open to the idea of a little correction to help the old girls out. Would probably wait until I was sure I was finished having babies first and of course, depends on the state of them. My mum´s boobs stayed a cup size bigger after breastfeeding so you never know.. but if they look sad, I´ll do what I can to make them happy again. Not surprisingly, dh is all for the idea!

And yes, I know I am shockingly superficial

1becomes3 · 28/02/2007 16:50

I am with you both there on the boob job I was thinking more along the lines of breast re-shaping not having too massive buoyancy aids, as for a tummy tuck, I get a free mini one with my next section!

Birdiebump · 28/02/2007 16:54

Need to win some money on the lottery for everything I would like done! As I know this is my last, and I'm the wrong side of 40 I want to get a wiggle on.

Tummy tuck, boob lift (happy with size) and......

I want one of those things where they tighten your fanjo please.....

nuttygirl · 28/02/2007 16:54

Happy birthday AngeG.

EllieK - hope you work things out with Stephen. I've emailed you my email address for the buddy list.

Well parents weren't too much hassle! I'm soooooooooooo tired tho so sorry for the short post and not mentioning everyone.

octopussyintummy · 28/02/2007 16:56

Afteroon all!

Having a bad and good mummy day! Painted woodwork in my bedroom while they played downstairs and watched tv but then bought loads of toys for real money from their pretend toy shops - so I am a goddess in their eyes!

My top parenting tip would be to make a sign to stick on your door saying 'mother and baby sleeping - do not ring bell' - even when not sleeping it gives you some peace!

mmk · 28/02/2007 16:57

I've got some tips, not sure which is my number 1 though..

get help wherever you can

Don't expect it to be easy - however, some bits are.

Get a routine, I love, love the one we are not allowed to mention. It makes the toddler years 60 billion times easier!

mmk · 28/02/2007 16:59

I'm not worrying about breasts, I can cover those up. I'd like to get all the leg blotches removed, and those handles on my sides chopped off. Oh yes, and while I'm at it, I'll have back all the sleep I'm owed!

weeonion · 28/02/2007 16:59

i may be sad castback to the female species but i have a "fund" that i have been putting money into for a few years - you dont lose 1/2 your body weight with no lasting after effects.
i wouldnt mind a bit a bionic/ six milion dollar woman session - "we will rebuild you" (am i really showing my age by that reference??)
head to toe would be good but mainly boobs and tummy. hadnt really thought about fanjo tightening - might add that to the list!! 1b3 - seriously - have you spoken to them about the section and what will happen to the tummy?

do you think there will be lurkers about to pounce on this thread and start another "offended by.." one??????

octopussyintummy · 28/02/2007 17:00

I know someone who has just had a boob job to rectify the tea bag effect!

Ellie - hope you sort stuff out with Stephen

1becomes3 · 28/02/2007 17:20

Wo-yeah I asked them if I would have another scar and they said no they just open up the other one pull the babies out and cut away the old scar tissue and stitch me back up.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 28/02/2007 17:28

My God, you lot can talk. I cannot keep up and certainly can't remember what has been said!

Hope everyone is feeling ok.

Ellie, hope you get things sorted with Stephen.

With you on the bad mummy front. B watched TV on and off for about 3 hours this morning. We did have Gym and swimming this afternoon followed by an hour in the soft play, so I kind of feel it counter balances it.

Also did painting this afternoon - for 10 blooming minutes. B has such a short attention span. We get it all out, she makes a hell of a mess and then is bored of it all.

Getting some really sharp tweaky pains again today and feel like I could drop. Everyone keeps saying how low baby is!

Anyway, enough whinging. Need to get tea for B. Back later.

flumppootle · 28/02/2007 18:00

I'm here SOSPL, every time I try and type a message all hell breaks loose with my LOs

flumppootle · 28/02/2007 18:07

Try again whilst the Taglitelle cooks.

Oh Ellie hope that you have worked things out with Stephen.

bugmum I am riveted by your book

Happy Birthday AngeG

Top tip....well for child rearing my top tip would be to trust your instincts, mummies are ALWAYS right.
Another one if you want to BF is roughen up those nipples sounds rude. If you give them a good scrub once a day with a flannel or body puff and go braless under your tops at home this toughens the nork skin. You are less likely to suffer from blisters/cracked or chapped nipples.
There, how irrlevant is that??????

Evening WO!

flumppootle · 28/02/2007 18:09

Irrelevant even - LOL

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 28/02/2007 18:15

Tea all done. Countdown to bath time now! Not that I am clock watching or anything!

I missed the thing about Bugmum - has she written books, if so what?
