I'm not sure if my scan went well! Saw a heartbeat, but it's also measuring a week behind (6+2 rather than 7+2) so I'm not sure if that's a bad sign. I guess I will have to wait and see.

Also there was a second gestational sac with nothing in it! She said it may have been a 'vanishing twin'.

conkerchops · 10/02/2017 22:52

Iemma I am in the same boat as you as had a mmc in October and am feeling v v anxious this time around. It is really reassuring though to be on this thread with people at the same stage as me and realise they are having the same symptoms at the same time which I am taking as a v v good sign - so one day at a time!

punkpuffin · 11/02/2017 06:23

Penguin im sure if thet were worried they would have told you and arranged a follow up. Dates are only rough guesses any way. I know that doesn't stop you worrying though. I hope every thing goes ok for you.

I swear my brother is psycic with all of my pregnancies now he's looked at me and said you're pregnant and hes been right every time. But now my parents and db and sil know so I feel I'm tempting fate. Dm want me to tell everyone at dh birthday party on Sunday but I'll only be 9ish weeks so I want to wait.

sj3rram1 · 11/02/2017 07:21

Penguin do you have a longer than average cycle? That would explain the days. My cycle is norm 33 days so I am expecting something similar when I go for my scan (all being well)

MrsCharlieD · 11/02/2017 08:49

If any of the newcomers would like to join the Facebook group please pm me x

NotMyPenguin · 11/02/2017 08:59

punkpuffin, you're right, she didn't say anything so maybe it's not significant. Not sure. Maybe she wanted to save me worrying!

sj3rram1 unfortunately my cycle is a textbook 28/9 days and I know exactly when I conceived, which puts me at the max two days behind (e.g. 7+0 or 7+1 yesterday) so definitely measuring at least 5 days behind if not the full 7.

harrietm87 · 11/02/2017 09:24

Thanks mrscharlie - think I'll wait until 12 weeks before joining. Starting to feel more real now cos I told my mum last night - it will be her first grandchild. She cried! Was really lovely. No one else knows apart from DH. Really need to tell his parents now! Think will wait until 12 weeks with everyone else.

When are you all telling people?

Lamaitresse · 11/02/2017 09:34

Penguin a very good friend had IVF so knew the exact date of conception, and I remember her saying she measured behind at her first scan. Because the timing was so precise I thought that was it, but today her IVF baby turns 2 so please try not to worry too much! It must be very difficult trying to measure a tiny embryo so precisely at this stage...

Well I've been lurking but am feeling a little braver so thought I may as well post! Got a 3+ on a CBD at 5+2 on Thursday so am happy for the moment. Got my first scan on Thursday at 6+2 (I'm in Belgium) so am desperately hoping for a little heartbeat!

Mulberry how are you doing? I haven't read back again today, but it sounds like you're feeling pretty rough. Definitely get help from your GP, there is evidence that early intervention with medication can really help manage potential HG. I was given an emergency appointment last week at the hospital to get pre-emptive meds - I've had HG 5 times in previous pregnancies, and last time was in hospital by 6 weeks. The meds are already making a huge difference and I am functioning almost as normal for the moment 🎉

Hello to all the new bfp's, such an exciting time. I keep going to look at my tests as still can't quite believe I'm pg 😂

Can't remember who compiled the fast growing list but thank you! My actual due date is the 10th October though 😊

Mulberry2627 · 11/02/2017 10:11

Hi everyone...thank you for your concern, am calling the doctors on Monday and hoping they can sort it out. I have just been sick again (on the 4th bout this morning) and my nose started bleeding?? Asked around my friends who have babies and they said it's probably just pressure changes. Anyone had this at all? I'm not overly concerned but something I will mention when I see the GP/midwife.

Hope everyone's holding up alright!! Apparently your symptoms get worse in week 7 and then should start to fade out, so fingers crossed for everyone!!

Emberblu · 11/02/2017 10:51

Mulberry I think nose bleeds are a symptom but also if you are throwing up so much you can burst blood vessels in your nose as well. Once had bad sickness bug a was throwing up for 12 hours straight every 10 minutes or so and I had some nose bleeds. It's not something to worry about in itself but just shows how much your body is going through with your morning sickness.

harrietm87 I have told my 2 sisters and my mum. They were excited but not overly so as it's my mums 12th grandchild plus it's early days. They were more shocked as they know I don't like children Grin DH told his sister and she was excited since it's the first of the next generation on his side of the family.

Cath1212 · 11/02/2017 11:06

I think I might tell my parents when I see them tomorrow, it's early but I'd want to go to my Mum if it didn't work out anyway plus they will realise when I'm not drinking!
I'm an only child so I think they be excited!

Cath1212 · 11/02/2017 11:09

@harrietm87 I reckon we may tell the unlaws but maybe that's it? It's hard as people are bound to start guessing!

punkpuffin · 11/02/2017 13:19

After seeing our little baby on the scan today and being assured that it's fine we might start telling ppl as my parents and brother and sil know so it might slip out. We were told that they found the coil and it's touching the sac. It should have killed the baby but it hasn't. The consultant kept refering to it as baby lucky as it has survived twice completely against the odds.

DancingUnicorn · 11/02/2017 13:39

That sounds amazing punk.

I literally can't stop eating today. I feel really strange. Feel like I'm in limbo waiting for something to make it feel more real. I'm only 5+1 so I guess it's ok to not feel totally real yet? Bah! Turning into a basket case!

Lovechild2016 · 11/02/2017 14:01

Does anyone else not have sore boobs? I'm 4+2 and not even a nipple tingle. Feel concerned, do feel a bit nauseous though... So paranoid that something is going to go wrong. Got a big party today with friends involving all day kind drinking and a hot tub (obviously I'm going sober) don't wanna tell them as feel so worried something will go wrong and it's so early but can't see how I'm going to get out of it!

DancingUnicorn · 11/02/2017 14:32

Love can you try taking a drink and nursing it and then abandoning it somewhere? Hope you manage to get through the day. My boobs weren't too bad at 4+2 and are mainly painful in the evenings, so try not to panic! Enjoy the day if you can!

Kirsty8333 · 11/02/2017 15:00

What do you normally drink lovechild? In my last pregnancy I bought a bottle of wine emptied it out and filled it with Schloer drink. It looked exactly like rose wine and no one guessed I wasn't drinking

Lovechild2016 · 11/02/2017 15:51

I managed to avoid last night by drinking
G&T without the gin! Trouble is we are buying rounds in a bar I think they probably know but never mind!

harrietm87 · 11/02/2017 16:08

lovechild I'm also 4+2 and still no sore boobs either! I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks 6 years ago when I was 24 and only discovered I was pregnant when I had sore boobs in week 5/6 so I think might just be too early for me still. Some people have no symptoms at all so I wouldn't worry.

HopingForALittleOne · 11/02/2017 17:39

Hello I'm 14dpo with a due date around 18-21 October - a bit later than some of the ladies on this thread but I'm so excited and can't wait for October :)

HopingForALittleOne · 11/02/2017 17:41

charlie how do I pm you to join Facebook group? Xxxx

Otter16 · 11/02/2017 17:45

Hi all, got my BFP on Wednesday, checked again Thursday for good measure, CB showed 1-2 weeks. AF was due yest (am clockwork) and has not turned up so just keeping all fingers and toes crossed that it works out. I'm 4 wks tomw. So v v early. Had a MC in October at 8 weeks with my first pregnancy, so allowing myself to be cautiously optimistic! So nice to have this group. Have a lovely sat evening with all our non alcholic tipples everyone whatever you get up to!

Otter16 · 11/02/2017 17:47

HopingForALittleOne my due date is 20-22 October X

hometownunicorn · 11/02/2017 17:58

lovechild I'm 6+2 and my boobs started really hurting a couple of days ago having been completely normal before. Can't sleep on my front or even run up the stairs because they're so tender! I was a bit worried like you when I didn't have much in the way of symptoms earlier on, so maybe it's just a matter of time.

HopingForALittleOne · 11/02/2017 17:58

Hello otter my period was due either wed/thurs. I tested earlier and now just keep testing as I can't believe it's real :) hope the 8 months fly by. I'm going to phone doctors on Monday. Yay great to have someone on thread due the same time xxx
