Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

Ginger I think it doesn't detect from date of last period so technically 1-2 weeks means 4-5 weeks if that makes sense? Your hcg levels might just take a little longer to get higher but sounds on track to me.

I'm the same, finishing off the FRER i've got in cupboard as been burning money for fun bulk buying recently and worried that my test result isn't any darker than yesterday's, even though i know hcg doesn't increase that quickly but can't stop the worry! Think it's coz AF due tomo so don't feel out of the woods yet...had a chemical last month but i'm already feeling quite pregnant - chest on fire and queasy which is reassuring me a bit.

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 08:47

I thought 1-2 meant 3-4weeks and 2-3 4-5weeks which even so i guess is only out by a few days.

I have another test so will use that friday / saturday and hope for a change. These early days are so tough.

Londonexhile · 04/01/2017 09:08

I'm feeling very queasy this morning too - not like I'll actually be sick, but stomach churning!

I'm also completely knackered, was asleep on the sofa at 8.45 last night. Think my cold isn't helping though - it's surprising the amount of cold medicine that says not suitable for pregnant women!!

Spoke to my GP surgery this morning & got an appointment booked with the midwife for end of Jan - eek!!

POAS again this morning...still pregnant!! (I'll run out soon Grin)

goiaba · 04/01/2017 09:23

Hi Ladies, can I join the group? I just discovered 3 days ago that I'm pregnant. It's my first and the due date is 8th September. Since my family lives abroad and so many of my friends don't have children, it's so lovely to see so many of you talking honestly about this magical/stressful time.

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 09:26

Staline- hope you're DS is ok! Kids are like sponges, they take in everything! I hope he forget soon and won't say anything X

Ginger- I'm the same as you! Is your DD on the 8th Sep? I wouldn't worry to much about your clear blue test ATM.. The range for the HCG level vary so much it can give you a different result each time X

Ks- sorry to hear about your cp last month! Try not to worry to much about the darkness on the test! I know it's really hard tho.. Maybe if you're worried ask the doctors to do a blood test for you.. They did it for my SIL as she was also worried about her HCG levels X

mouse- me to I'm feeling a little bigger but I didn't know it could happen this quick 🤔 X

London- I'm starting to feel a little sick to and really tired!! This morning I got ready for work and just before I left I sprayed my perfume and was nearly sick! Won't be doing that again haha X

Has anyone got water retention on their legs yet? Mine are really puffy and looks like I'm holding a lot of extra water :(

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 09:28

Goiaba- welcome and congratulations!!

Our DD are the same day 😀

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 09:52

My due dates the 9th sept going by last lmp.

Have you had 1-2 weeks or do u mean ut 4 + 4 lol?

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 09:58

Oh ok I think mine is 8th and on clear blue it's say 2-3 weeks now as I did a new test yesterday! To be honest I don't really know how far gone I am as I only came off the pill on the 1st December, so it's hard to calculate it.. Guess after the scan I will know more! X

HellsBellsK · 04/01/2017 09:59

Ginger try not to worry I tested first around that mark and got 1-2weeks then tested at 5w2d and got 3+.

London I have a cold too and blocked sinuses my head is killing me. Doctor just told me to paracetamol - but its not touching the headache. I suffer from migraines so really hope they stay away. As I can't take any of my usual medication for them.

Mouse I feeling bigger then normal. When I went back to the gym they weighed me and I have put on weight! But I'm blaming my boobs they look huge Grin

Ks I also had a chemical so I know how your feeling - I just wanted to get passed the day my period was due. But Boobs on fire is a good sign. I felt a lot different this time to when I had my chemical also.

Goiaba congratulations! Flowers

goiaba · 04/01/2017 10:07

Thank you Amz26! Hope you are having a good start to your pregnancy.

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 10:12

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 10:25

FXSkip · 04/01/2017 11:13

FXSkip · 04/01/2017 11:14

Oops sorry didn't mean to type anything! Hope everyone getting along ok - every day is dragging so badly right now!!

goiaba · 04/01/2017 11:36

So far I have been feeling good, no nausea yet. The only different thing I'm feeling is some sort of period cramp, not very intense at all, that just comes and goes. What about you ladies?

WhiteLily86 · 04/01/2017 11:46

Anyone else hardly got any symptoms? I feel everyone is commenting saying how tired they are and how sick they are feeling? I am tired, but just because it is first day back at work (in Scotland!) and I have a cold that I can't shift. I assume that I just have to assume all is ok as long as I don't have any bleeding? I am apparently (according to some app) 5w+1. Again it is my first so probably being paranoid!

littlepooch · 04/01/2017 11:46

Hello all just checking in. Hi to all the new joiners!

5+4 and feeling ok, just tired and have had a banging headache for the past few days. I'm also go from being not hungry to starving! With DD I remember I didn't start feeling sick until around 6/7 weeks and boy was I then sick! Booked my early scan for 28 January, I'll be 9 weeks by then but I wanted DH to come with me and he's away a lot until then and I also didn't want to go earlier so there is no room for any uncertainty or ambiguity. Still feels like such a long way a way!

Gingerbreadmam · 04/01/2017 11:55

Not many symptoms here. Period pains and dry heaving. That is at 4+4 according to lmp. I am waiting for sore boobs and hoping to god they come soon lol i remember the sore boobs!

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 12:02

I think that is also common not to have any symptoms yet lily my best friend didn't have any symptoms until she got her bump!

Pooch- I'm debating if I want a early scan or not is this your first baby?

Does anyone live in London as I would like to know of a good place to get a early scan if that's what we decide X

Amz26 · 04/01/2017 12:04

Skip- I know it's going so slow! Is this your first pregnancy? X

charlij91 · 04/01/2017 12:16

Is anyone else having a weird relationship with food at the moment? I'm 5+3, constant nausea although no sickness at the moment and just don't seem interested in eating anything. I'm trying to eat 3 small meals a day to keep my energy levels up for little bean, but after one or two mouthfuls I'm full and nothing tastes good. This is my first pregnancy so not sure if this is normal or how long it's going to last! All I want is a burger and chips haha! Grin

littlepooch · 04/01/2017 12:16

No amz I also have DD who is 13 months. I've sadly had 3 MCs as well though so I find early pregnancy a very very anxious time hence I always have an early scan. I always go to the fetal medicine centre on Harley street, for any scans in addition to the NHS ones, I have found them to be really good and thorough. The professor that heads up the centre is very well known and repeated in fetal medicine.

littlepooch · 04/01/2017 12:18

I go from being not hungry to absolutely starving in about 30 seconds. But then I lose interest after a few mouthfuls too!

HellsBellsK · 04/01/2017 12:23

Whitelily When I was with my doctor yesterday she said symptoms usually start at 6weeks or towards the end of 5 weeks.

I don't know if I have symptoms or just feel terrible from having a cold and horrible headache - I feel sick but always feel sick when I have a bad headache/migraine.

Everyday is dragging - I have a scan on the 14th so I will be 7 weeks then hopefully.

FXSkip · 04/01/2017 12:45

amz yea my first, though my cat will always be my first baby 😛

hells me too on the 14th! I'm 5+6 today and not really feeling much, just nauseous when I get too hungry and then can't eat a whole meal! So good being pg in Jan though - no raised eyebrows about not drinking and eating healthy food!!
