Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

So glad everyone is having positive scans! It just makes you feel like you're not crazy and there really is a little bean in there!

I'm the same on the Facebook front, will be sticking to mumsnet for a while and then I'll move over when I feel a bit more confident.

First waves of nausea for me tonight! Last pregnancy I was physically sick quite a lot but it got better around 9 weeks. Praying that this pregnancy is the same.

Can anyone remember roughly when you have the booking in appointment?

poco2015 · 18/01/2017 19:34

I didn't have it with ds2. Ds2 pregnancy was much healthier hoping for that this one will be too.

Shwighty1 · 18/01/2017 20:04

Bloody hell you lot, how many extra pages since I looked this morning!!!!!!!

pinkandwhite I'll join the fb too please, shall pm you now. I wascooped quite reluctant to do it last time with ds1 but it's been a life saver and have met some fab people in the process

Shwighty1 · 18/01/2017 20:13

Wascooped wtaf does that even mean????????? That should read was......

puttingourhoodupdown · 18/01/2017 20:36

Little update. Had an urgent call from my GP with results from my thyroid bloods yesterday. They've made an emergency appointment for me to see the GP tomorrow with a referral to EPU for an early scan. I'll also probably see a specialist asap to start medication. I'm hyperthyroid. I'm trying to stay calm and not worry. I really hope baby is ok.

Under the circumstances we decided to tell my family I'm pregnant. Lots of happy tears and they've kept me really positive for tomorrow. So please keep your fingers crossed for me. X

EssentialHummus · 18/01/2017 20:47

There is a spreadsheet putting - there'll be a link near the beginning of the thread / hopefully someone organised can link?

mouse fx for you. I'm hypothyroid and also seeing GP tomorrow. It's incredibly stressful and such a misunderstood/misdiagnosed area of medicine.

OkyDoke · 18/01/2017 20:55

Had my booking in appointment today! Next step 12 week scan. Midwife was very nice, took blood and urine, weighed me etc. I am going to have to have gtt test due to family history and anti d due to being rhesus negative!

Pinkbottletop · 18/01/2017 21:09

Oky how far gone are you now?

totallyLosingIt · 18/01/2017 21:15

Here you go putting

OkyDoke · 18/01/2017 21:36

Pink i am 8+2 today!

WhiteLily86 · 18/01/2017 21:40

Yay glad some are sticking to mumsnet over Facebook, otherwise I might have got lonely.

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow eeeekkkk. I am 7+2 with first.

And what a bump I have. I am just little (size 6) but with natural curves/big boobs. They haven't changed too much, thank god. But my stomach. What a size already, maybe more to do with the junk food and weird diet of late than the little blueberry that is hopefully growing inside me!

Travelgeek · 18/01/2017 22:08

Wonderful news n0ne

Fingers crossed for you mouse

I am marveling at all of you with young DC going for #2 so quickly. You'll do fab jobs of it I'm sure - I'm trying to get my head around the prospect of one (and a young energetic dog!)

I'll certainly join on FB but maybe after a few more weeks when we share the news more widely. It's a small world so I like the anonymity of MN in case.

I'm normally a huge tea drinker and have a box of the Yorkshire decaf, for whoever was asking about them before. They aren't bad, or wouldn't be if I hadn't completely gone off hot drinks.

Checking the post like a crazy lady waiting for my booking in appointment letter. Going to chase directly if I've still not got anything when we are back from our long weekend away. Looking forward to it, but will miss being able to have a drink!

We'll be flying too, but only a short flight. I'll still have a walk and drink lots of water though. Might nab a few of the sick bags for my purse though! I'll be 7 weeks on our return.

puttingourhoodupdown · 18/01/2017 22:19

Thanks so much losingit, could I be cheeky and ask someone to add my details to it? It won't let me edit due to limited storage on my iPad Confused

Pinkbottletop · 18/01/2017 22:32

I'm going to Rome at the beginning of Feb with DP. Booked before I knew I was pregnant. Can't wait! I'll be around 8.5 weeks.

Oky asking because I'm wondering when I'll get my first appointment with a midwife. They did warn me on the phone that they've got a backlog. Joy. I hate my local healthcare trust. I'm 5+5 now so got a while.

Amz26 · 18/01/2017 22:48

Hi newcomers.. I really can't keep up with this thread haha

I'll add it for you puttingourhoodupdown what's your stats? X

Amz26 · 18/01/2017 22:52

Also I posted this question on another thread but no one got back to me!

Is it normal for my bellybutton to be really tender? I wouldn't call it painful tho X

FXSkip · 18/01/2017 23:07

amz funny you should mention that, I've been to the doctors this week to ask about my belly button! It was red and oozy, and then dry and flaky for the first 6 weeks of pg but the doc said he's never heard of that! He prescribed me canesten but I didn't get it filled in the end and it seems to have settled down now.

Kskifred · 18/01/2017 23:11

Also staying on here until we have told everyone/safe, knowing my luck i know at least 3 of you IRL Grin

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 18/01/2017 23:46

Hi all
This thread is mega busy. I'll be staying here for a bit longer too. MN is my spiritual home I don't have a job and can only read Peppa sodding pig so many times a day lol

Had my booking in appt today, I am 7+4 today and they normally do them 8+ weeks I thought, but they booked me in.
For PP asking what it entails-
Long ticky box/medical health questionnaire, luckily they had all my info from last time.
Bloods taken, weighed, pee sampled, mat notes given, MAT1B form handed over...
I have to wait for my hospital to send the date for the 12 wk scan, and I book the next MW appt for 16 weeks.

I was worried about total unpredictability of symptoms - last time I felt shit for 3 months which, whilst sucky, I could at least tell myself it was a Good Sign. This week has been very up and down.
MW said this can happen and not to worry.
4 weeks til scan is going to be an eternity. Shock

calimommy · 19/01/2017 00:03

Trying to edit the spreadsheet, downloaded the app, still can't? 🙄

poco2015 · 19/01/2017 00:47

You got your matb1 form already? That was super quick! I thought you got that after your dates were confirmed after scan

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 01:35

I've sent Facebook friend requests/ my name to everyone who wants to join the Facebook group. I totally understand why people would want to stay on here for the time being. I think with my last group it took quite a while for people to move across to Facebook. There's no rush. I'm nervous about starting it so early in my pregnancy but I'm hoping for the best.

Amz26 · 19/01/2017 01:37

FXSkip That sounds painful! I guess everyone gets different symptoms but I get so worried about any little thing!! I'm glad yours has cleared up now :) I think I'm going to call the GP tomorrow anyway to see when my MW appointment is because I've been waiting for ages now.. I might just self refer if they try and phob me off tomorrow 😁

Pinkandwhite · 19/01/2017 01:41

I don't seem to be able to add my stats to the spreadsheet. Would someone else be willing to do it for me?

My stats are:

34
2
2
30th September
Yes
Married
None
Cayman Islands (been here for 4 years) but relocating to SW London next month
