Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

Great news n0ne, now go out your feet up and relax!!

LuciaInFurs · 18/01/2017 14:44

Wonderful news n0ne!

My last period was December 14th and I'm due September 20th so I think that makes me five weeks. My lower back has been really, really sore and all the books I've read say that this shouldn't happen for another few weeks.

I stopped taking my Sertraline as soon as we got a BFP so my anxiety's slowly trying to take me over and I've not been pregnant before so I'm probably just being overly anxious. Does this back ache sound 'normal'?

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 14:45

That's wonderful n0ne!

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 14:48

Lules, I had HG last time too. I'd be happy to have it again so long as this pregnancy works out. It would be hard to cope with all that sickness with a toddler in tow but I'm sure its doable!

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 14:49

How many pregnancy tests did everyone else do? I've done about 5 already! I think I'm a bit of a POAS addict!

PerpetualStudent · 18/01/2017 15:00

I've done 4 Pink! Will deffo do at least one more on Fri (and try to resist doing one earlier!) I mostly use the cheap ones you get online & find it reassuring when the positive line comes up darker as you get further along

Hi ladies,

Hope it's ok to join.. just had our first cycle ttc and surprisingly got our 1+2 weeks on clear blue so struggling to believe it and still feel it needs to be confirmed! We have 1 DS age 8 :o who has never really wanted a sibling but recently said it would be nice to our delight! As we finally seem in a good place for it. Can't wait to tell him and everyone (and also buy nice things!) but I know that won't be for a while yet! It's really strange but lovely to be planning it all properly as we were 17 and 18 when we had him.

I have also been trying to cut down to 1 tea/coffee a day but struggling to find a replacement - tried rooibos tea this morning and found it quite rough! Any recommendations at all?

Congrats to all! And sorry for those who are worrying or struggling with early symptoms.

Thanks ladies

A whole bunch of faint positives on cheapies, a light line on a Sainsburys blue dye test, lines on two Superdrug early tests and a Pregnant 1-2 on a Clearblue.

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:22

Perpetual student and trig - I'm glad it's not just me doing multiple tests! I find it reassuring to see the line getting darker too.

calimommy · 18/01/2017 15:22

I think the FB page is s great idea, I can't keep up with all the posts on here, and it's a bit general with lots of different conversations intersecting.

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:22
  • TriJo not trig
Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:23

Igalb5 - why don't you just try decaf versions of normal tea and coffee? If you get the right brand they taste good.

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:25

Shall we set up a Facebook group then? It is hard to keep up with who is who on here. In case anyone is worried, we can make it a secret group so that no-one else on Facebook can see it. I remember being really worried about the idea of it when I was pregnant with my daughter but it is definitely easier to chat there than it is on here.

lgalb5 · 18/01/2017 15:32

Sorry for being one of the ones that interjected the testing post! My very first time posting on here, I'm normally just a reader! But I definitely need to do at least a second test too as I feel I shouldn't even be getting as far as posting on here yet for example but never mind.

Good point Pinkandwhite thanks, totally didn't think even though I've read people on this post using them sneakily in work! Maybe a promising symptom or must have just totally missed them in supermarket yesterday! Will need to give the stashing a try in work too then and turn down if people ask then make my own! Hope it still tastes similar..

Amz26 · 18/01/2017 15:37

Good idea about the Facebook group! It is very hard to keep up with everyone..Pinkandwhite good idea to keep it to a secret group X

calimommy · 18/01/2017 15:38

Yes please. Will you do it pinkandwhite or I can if you prefer?

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:38

Don't apologise Igalb5! That's the way it works on here which is why it can be tricky to follow a conversation.

I think we're about the same in terms of how pregnant we are so I am also a little worried about even posting on here. Have you checked what your due date is? Mine is 30th of September. I haven't even missed a period yet.

Good decaf tea and coffee really does taste ok.

calimommy · 18/01/2017 15:39

No it doesn't it's rubbish 😝

littlepooch · 18/01/2017 15:39

Great news n0ne!

Wow there are a few of us here with reasonably small age gaps. DD is 14 months, but I wanted a small age gap so I'm happy. She loves babies even at this age she goes up to them and says bebebebebe and knows to be gentle. Little sweetheart.

littlepooch · 18/01/2017 15:40

Which decaf teas do people recommend. I've tried pg and Yorkshire and both were bleurgh. The Yorkshire was better than the pg.

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:40

Ok fab, I'll set up a secret Facebook group. Anyone who wants to join, please send me a pm and I'll give you my name so that you can 'friend' me and then I'll be able to add you to the group. How exciting!

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:41

haha Calimommy! Maybe I'm just so used to decaf now that I can't taste the difference!

WhiteLily86 · 18/01/2017 15:47

Is the facebook instead of mumsnet? I don't have Facebook though 😢

oliversmummy26 · 18/01/2017 15:54

FB group is a great idea, though probably won't join until I'm past 12 weeks and feel a little more confident about this pregnancy...also won't be able to use it during the day as can't get on FB at work, so will have to catch up in the evenings..

Pinkandwhite · 18/01/2017 15:58

With my last group, we stayed on here for a little while but ultimately everyone moved across to Facebook. I think different ante-natal groups do it in different ways though.
