Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

My nausea is out of control! Tinny taste too. Also I'm getting quite bad cramps which every google website tells me is normal...

MrsK8541 · 15/01/2017 19:07

Horrible nausea and cramps over here too Pinkbottletop . Google saying its normal is still not reassuring me!!

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 15/01/2017 19:08

I forgot to mention The Rages. Anyone else suffering?
Last time I got irrationally angry with DH about 100 times a day.
Luckily this stopped when DD turned about 1. Grin

Today I got irrationally angry because he suggested we ate separately after he put our DD to bed.
This is something I had actually suggested earlier but when he said it I was so angry! For about 20 mins, then I forgot about it and wondered why I'd been so angry about it.
Then I remembered it from the first time round.
This is not me normally even through PMT, definitely a pg symptom for me.

Enjoy ladies Grin Grin

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 19:44

LOL cashmere that sounds like something I do. However, I've actually generally been a little more laid back with DP because I'm so focused on this pregnancy that I don't have as much mind space to be worrying about him and what he's doing!

ringroads · 15/01/2017 19:56

Hello ladies may I join (thanks for pointing out the thread kski)
Im 7+3 today, 3rd pregnancy bt last was a mc. Nausea n vomiting started few days ago bang on que from my 1st pregnancy with DS. Im so bloated ilI already feel and look like ive got a bump! Not planning on telling anyone until im 12 weeks however its prob going to be obvious soon Confused
Glad to read you ladies are getting on well bar some symptoms and i can 2nd or 3rd those saying they feel like crappy mums right now. All will be worth it in the end tho right? X

EssentialHummus · 15/01/2017 19:57

Lots of nausea here too. Poor DH is trying to feed me. He'll diligently make the random thing I want, but when he puts it in front of me I just think, bleurgh. Today I have managed many Ritz crackers dipped in guacamole, and half a toasted sarnie.

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 20:17

Welcome ring

Hummous I know I should eat and I need to take my folic acid tablet on a full stomach (and forgot yesterday to take it at all) but the very thought of food is making me feel so so sick. The only thing I seem to be able to happily stomach is appletiser!

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 20:18

Sorry, spelt your name wrong Hummus!

MrsK8541 · 15/01/2017 20:33

pinkbottletop Appletiser is also the only thing I can face! You could be my double Smile

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 20:48

So refreshing, isn't it MrsK?

Anyone else going to the baby show in March?

Shwighty1 · 15/01/2017 20:59

Oh I love appletise, I'm away with work this week (m-w) that will be my drink of choice I think!! I wonder if amazon sells it by the case load?

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 21:04

I'm not sure but I know that Costco do!

MrsK8541 · 15/01/2017 21:12

I got a case from Costco yesterday!

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 21:20

MrsK I have one bottle left from my case so I need to go buy more!

Kskifred · 15/01/2017 22:52

Hey Ringroads!

MouseLove · 15/01/2017 23:14

I've been drinking appletise at my parents (probably left over from Christmas) and avoiding coffee until they know. But then I looked at how much sugar is in it. OH MY WORD. it's like the worse thing you can drink. 😫

I've been sneaking the decaf at work but I have a feeling they are going to run out this week as all the pregnant ladies left before Christmas. Urgh.

At least at home I've been enjoying my nespresso decaf coffee. It's lovely!!!!

goiaba · 16/01/2017 08:27

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is feeling better and ready for the new week! I was wondering if apart from folic acid you guys are also taking other vitamins?

My doctor recommended me to also take vitamin D but I thought I should have a blood test first that shows the lack of it so said no. He is probably right, but I'm a bit aware of these things.

MouseLove · 16/01/2017 08:37

You need extra bits in pregnancy Hun so ideally you might be advised to take extra things than normal.

I take pregnacare original. It includes...

Vitamin D (as D3 400 IU) 10 µg
Vitamin E 4 mg α-TE
Vitamin K 70 µg
Vitamin C 70 mg
Thiamin (Vitamin B1) 3 mg
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 2 mg
Niacin (Vitamin B3) 20 mg NE
Vitamin B6 10 mg
Folic Acid 400 µg
Vitamin B12 6 µg
Biotin 150 µg

Magnesium 150 mg
Iron 17 mg
Zinc 15 mg
Copper 1000 µg
Selenium 30 µg
Iodine 140 µg
Natural Mixed Carotenoids 2 mg

HellsBellsK · 16/01/2017 08:42

At the moment I can't find anything I want to drink I am gone off everything. Just drinking a pint of water every few hours but it makes me feel so sick.
I love my tea and coffee but have gone off that too.

Goiaba I was also told to take Vit D - even when trying the doctor said to take it as we just don't get enough of it. Also taking fish oils and a higher amount of folic acid but only because I have a mild form of spina bifida.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 16/01/2017 08:51

I just am taking the same pregnacare pg pills Mouse mentioned above, folic acid and vit D.
Had them last time and my 2yo little bean is just fine.
HellsBells have you tried squash? It's the only thing I can drink this week. I love tea and coffee and I've really gone off it.

TotTickle · 16/01/2017 08:53

I'm taking pregnancy multi vitamins and omega 3.

I had non alcoholic beer with my supper last night - hit the craving for an alcoholic drink!

No symptoms still here! Dislike this first trimester with the unknown and trying to hold off telling people!

Hope this week is a good one for everyone. X

TotTickle · 16/01/2017 08:55

Also username has changed as I downloaded the app and it said my previous username was bring used?!?

Shwighty1 · 16/01/2017 08:56

I take a liquid iron formula from h&b and folic acid. I had low iron towards the end of last pregnancy so will continue that

EssentialHummus · 16/01/2017 09:18

Just folic acid here.

don't I'm also going through lots of orange squash, and yesterday started on Lucozade diluted with water. It's useful against nausea but the sugar content...

oliversmummy26 · 16/01/2017 09:35

Cashmere The Rages started with me this morning! DH alarm went off at 6.30am, he snoozed for about 20 minutes then went downstairs for a coffee, waking DS in the process. We have a gro clock which is fab and stops him getting out of bed but if he's awake before he's allowed to get up he's constantly asking when he can get up! Then DH didn't leave until 8am - why set your alarm 1.5 hours before you need to leave the house and wake everyone up in the process?! Even more pissed off that he couldn't work out why I was pissed off Angry

Then got to work and offered to make everyone a drink, they all chimed in with "no milk" Angry Angry Angry So I go straight back out to get some, I start an hour after everyone else, so why they couldn't have text me to get some on my way in...then of course when I get back they all want a fucking drink! Angry

Then I feel close to tears because I'm so angry Sad

Also the nausea is insane...I'm still managing to eat, feel like eating would make me feel better, then I eat and I feel just as bad as I did before I ate!

I've also been having some tummy cramps, but it feels like stretching and moving about more than something sinister, so not too concerned. And no more brown bloody discharge since my one lot which panicked me on Friday, so feelign better about that.

Finally (sorry, massive post) I look like I did with my DS at 20 weeks, already got a hairband on my jeans and desperate to move into maternity wear, but fear that will be too obvious and have to hide it for another 5 weeks yet!
