Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

same, here - I'm eating little and strangely. Today, in total, I have eaten/drunk 1 cup of coffee, pile of chips with chicken nuggets, bowl of soup with noodles, about 2 liters of cordial. Like a PP I'm now on the "beige diet" Confused

Kskifred · 13/01/2017 20:01

Sorry Emfe FlowersFlowersFlowers

Shwighty1 · 13/01/2017 20:08

Actually managed to find some energy today! Have done yoga, worked in the morning, picked ds1 up at 1, taken the dog out with him and cleaned the kitchen! Stark contrast to yesterday when I hardly left the sofa!!!!!!

In answer to an earlier question I work out and about on the road and often out in the countryside. So I guess its quite good as I don't have to hide symptoms from office based colleagues!! In my last pregnancy I did have to pullover in the car and nap for 20minutes or so!! Not had to do that so far this time!!

roobois · 13/01/2017 20:41

shwighty I'm similar to you in that I work on the road, so at least not having to hide it from people face to face although not sure about anyone else but finding it so hard to leave the house in the morning and getting sick at lunch time. Was very glad of the Sainsbury's customer toilet this afternoon. BlushEnvy

DH was so surprised but really happy - I suddenly felt very shy which I wasn't expecting! He hadn't suspected a thing. Not sure what I'm supposed to do now - do I go to the gps or do I wait until 12 weeks to go (think I'm about 5 weeks at the moment)?

MrsK8541 · 13/01/2017 20:58

Ah fantastic news!! Exciting times ahead.

Next steps depend on where you live I think, phone the doctors on Monday morning to see if you need to see the GP first or if you can register to see the midwife straight away.

lilyborderterrier · 13/01/2017 21:00

Today was the first time I've properly eaten in a week as I've felt so sick. It was at a Nando's and it was lovely.

I'm 7 weeks and I've told 3 close friends and it's feels so good to talk especially as I'm feeling so sick.

My nearly 4 year old picked a library book about getting a baby sister and she was so excited. We are not telling her till after the scan but I know she is so excited.

LuciaInFurs · 13/01/2017 21:43

Hello everyone,

I'm due September 20th so I think that makes me about 5 weeks. We discovered that DH had a very low sperm count last year and just had our IVF referral sent off before Christmas. Our BFP yesterday was a huge shock, I don't think it's sunk in yet! Would love some advice about what to do next!

MouseLove · 13/01/2017 21:44

Congratulations ladies!!!! Glen you'll need to ring your Gp and ask for a midwife appointment. They like to see you at around 8 weeks for booking in then to arrange your scan at 12-14 weeks.

Ladies I have my GP appointment in the AM, eek, really hope he doesn't put me at high risk with my other health issues. Still no symptoms for me, and I'm a tiny bit tempted to see if I get 3+ weeks on the digital tomorrow. I really should be by now. 6+4 today.

Shwighty1 · 13/01/2017 22:28

Congrats lucia wow talk about timing hey!!

totallyLosingIt · 13/01/2017 22:32

So sorry emfe Flowers

calimommy · 14/01/2017 04:19

Feeling a bit pessimistic this evening. I've had left sided pain last few days so went for a scan to rule out ectopic. It's not, but it is measuring smaller than my dates. My dates could be wrong as this was a very messed-up cycle, the likes of which I hadn't had before to my knowledge, so that's very possible. Or else it's going to miscarry. I've been here before and to be honest I feel more disappointed about potentially going through the whole confusion of bleeding constantly for weeks and then no idea where my cycle is, on top of a sense of failure, than the loss of the little bunch of cells which would be a baby. I was holding back from excitement for this very reason but I'm disappointed that it could be reality again.

Prattle prattle prattle! Anyho I've another scan in two weeks and if it matches today's date then all is well. But it's going to be a long two weeks now and I'm not working here yet so other than my two boys I've little to distract me, me being a natural glass-half-empty sort!

Moan over.

calimommy · 14/01/2017 04:36

And the only thing I'm thirsty for at the moment is pink champagne.

(Rolls eyes and walks to fridge for some sparkling water...)

Popcorn1979 · 14/01/2017 08:36

Hi all! Tentatively joining too. So sorry to hear about emfe. Like a few of you I am pretty nervous this time. Have two ds aged 4 and 2. Had a mmc between them and also had two mc in last 6 months at 6 and 7 weeks. Just over 5 weeks now - have the weeks ever gone so slowly?! Dh wants me to stop worrying so hoping chatting to you all will be a good outlet for me! Symptoms so far include a horrible taste in my mouth (and on my fingers randomly!) a tiny amount of nausea and slightly sensitive boobs. Hope you all have a lovely weekend planned!

MouseLove · 14/01/2017 09:53

So I had my GP appointment this morning. Also did another digital and it was still 2-3 weeks which got me really upset. GP said to ignore the digital if regular tests are showing positive, relax and enjoy my pregnancy as I've had no bleeding or cramps. I'm having my thyroid re-tested on Tuesday too. I guess I won't be happy until I see a baby now. I'll be 7 weeks on Monday.

HellsBellsK · 14/01/2017 10:16

Welcome to everyone new Smile

Calimommy if it was a messed up cycle then that could explain it. How different are they? Think positive - I hope these weeks speed by for you.

Popcorn Welcome - I find it great here to be able to chat. It terrible I'm wishing the weeks away. But since going back to work they have gone faster.

Mouse Glad the GP put your mind at rest - now no more tests Grin

No news here 7+1 at the moment feeling okay just tired and no food is appealing to me. Going to view two houses today so thats exciting Im in love with one already and want to move in!
Oh an early question - Im self employed - I have a Montessori School - So children from 2 1/2 - 5 years. I really do love it but it is very tiring at the moment.

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.

Calmisthemantra · 14/01/2017 10:17

Please can I join? Just got my bfp (but not due until Wednesday) I'm due on 27th sept. I have a 3.5yr old and an almost 5yr old. So what's new/different in the world of pregnancy? Please tell me morning sickness no longer exists Grin

Kskifred · 14/01/2017 11:36

Glad i'm not the only one Ruth i'm only 5 and a bit weeks and since yesterday i can feel my womb growing in my pelvis but it has grown past that bit between your foof and lower tummy already - didn't think it was possible this early! Ds destroyed my muscles too. Already looking to buy mat jeans as just feeling uncomfortable. Since yesterday i've had migraines and nausea too, gone right off food today (unheard of) and just feeling generally poo.

Londonexhile · 14/01/2017 12:13

So the nausea has finally turned into sickness....blaming DH's driving but just had to pull over & lose my breakfast Envy

6 weeks today!

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 14/01/2017 13:14

Today has been worst day for me so far. Awful nausea but no vomiting thank God.
Can't face eating. Hunger fueling nausea.
Just have to remind myself that it's a "good sign" ffs

MrsK8541 · 14/01/2017 13:35

DP took me to Costco this morning to get some food shopping. The smell of the meat being cooked at the deli and the meat samples my nose kept sniffing out - so much concentration on not throwing up!!!

Amz26 · 14/01/2017 14:09

Congrats and welcome all newcomers :)

calimommy Fx for you, let's hope you've got your dates mixed up! It's the Unknown that's the most frustrating thing X

MouseLove try not to worry to much I've read lots of things about people getting 2-3 weeks for a long time.. I'm glad your doctor reassured you too! X

Calmisthemantra sorry to say morning sickness does not go away haha.. X

Today is a bad day.. I feel awful and I'm currently 6+1.. I've been in bed all day and even had a little cry as I was so excited to get to the gym today as I've been to tired to go from working.. Was going to make the most of it but can't do anything ( I know it's so pathetic but nobody tells you how shit you will feel in the first trimester)

How is everyone else? Xx

EssentialHummus · 14/01/2017 14:25

Morning all. Sleepless night yesterday - I was up from 01.30 until about 6am, then conked out. Was feeling veery green in the morning, though orange squash settles things a bit. Then had to get through a breakfast with friends, who we haven't told.

I'm now 6 + something.

Shwighty1 · 14/01/2017 14:57

Exhausted here today too!!!! Meant to have taken ds1 swimming but I just can't face it!! We've just played fixing stuff and watched movies!! Lazy patenting 101

Kskifred · 14/01/2017 16:12

don't worry i have done a 100 puzzles and play doh games as just not in the mood to go out. That said i'm frustrated and bored from staying in too Hmm
