Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

I'm office based, and not been sick so far, just feeling really rotten the last couple of days, but it's easier to hide that. The difficult part for me is that I used to drink tea/coffee all day long and going down to just one coffee and one tea followed by peppermint is raising eyebrows.

I can't say I'm detoxing as I'm eating all kinds of crap! I'm on the yellow food diet at the moment, so far today I've had: 1 crumpet, 1 packet belvita breakfast biscuits, 1 bread roll, 1 honey oat dunker (morrisons delish!), a cup a soup and 2 mince pies (left over homemade ones I found in the freezer this morning) Smile It's all I really fancy, pasta for tea, though will try and get some green veg in it...

Hi everyone, could I tentatively join? Just got an unexpected positive test result today! Have a 20 month old DS & was planning to TTC this year, but this is a little earlier than expected!
Due around 15th Sept, though very early days yet so planning to just take things as they come...

GlennRheeismyfavourite · 13/01/2017 18:15

Hi PStudent - congratulations! Can I join too - literally did a test 30mins ago! Think I'm due round about the 15th Sept so very early days. This will be number one so feeling very excited/nervous & like it's not really real. Planning on telling DH when he gets home. I didn't tell him I suspected anything so it will probably by a huge surprise! I can't wait! Clock watching whilst cooking dinner wanting him to hurry up! Did anyone tell their other halves in an exciting way?

MrsK8541 · 13/01/2017 18:59

Welcome ladies!!! glenn you will have to let us know how DH reacts!

PerpetualStudent · 13/01/2017 19:04

Thank you! I can see now I barged in after some sad news, so sorry for that Flowers This early pregnancy business is a tough job, isn't it? So much uncertainty!

MomWobble · 13/01/2017 19:10

Congratulations ladies!

Got my BFP a week ago and am dying to tell the world! Only DH and I know so far. I think I am 5ish weeks but have been undergoing tests due to irregular periods so can't be sure. I'm guessing I am due around 16th September.

This is my second time but it's been a while since the last bump and I'd forgotten how overwhelming some of the symptoms are.

I've got everything crossed for all of you Smile

WhatwouldRuthdo · 13/01/2017 19:16

Congratulations Glen and Student!

Only my mum and dad know, as they wondered why I'd suddenly started turning down wine. I don't plan to tell anyone else til my scan, but am really so bloated and fat around the belly, they might start to guess. Quite shocked by the size of my stomach; I guess DS destroyed my stomach muscles.

Herewegoagain31 · 13/01/2017 19:41

Ugh I want food as I feel sick when i don't eat but actually there's hardly any food I actually want (most of it unhealthy) and when I do eat I end up feeling sick after anyway and also get the tramp's armpit mouth as a lovely aftertaste too. I can't win! Love the first trimester

Herewegoagain31 · 13/01/2017 19:45

Ruth my stomach muscles are also destroyed - I was on all fours clearing up toys the other day and looked down to realise my stomach was hanging almost near my knees and as much as I strained I could not suck it back at all. Muscles = gone
