Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

Hi everyone.... writing this from downstairs on the settee. ..
I can't stop farting. Honestly it's unbearable, didn't have this in other pregnancies 😂 needless to say DP isn't impressed with this side effect either, hence me letting him sleep whilst I fart it out.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 11/01/2017 23:27

Anyone had any ... erm..... discharge Like preAF stuff. But not blood...
Gah Blush worrying.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 11/01/2017 23:33

Should have googled before posting! All fine Smile

FrostyPopThePenguinLord · 12/01/2017 00:55

Just got my very faint blue line, so should be due 24th September, good grief my boobs are sore and I'm shitting myself that it's chemical and AF will arrive....

Kskifred · 12/01/2017 02:30

When i told dp we were pregnant he said 'well done' Then 'that was easy, what good speed i have' HmmHmm yeah, real easy, you didn't have to chart, bbt or organise your sex life on a calendar did you...fertility fairies sorted all that out. F!?*ing easy my arse!

Shwighty1 · 12/01/2017 06:51

When I told oh he said oh good you're driving all Xmas holiday then!!!!!

TeamLentil · 12/01/2017 07:04

Mine said this was the best Christmas present ever Smile

Gingerbreadmam · 12/01/2017 08:20

Just reassurance ladies i have had lots of discharge to the point i felt like i had peed my pants and not so much in this pregnancy but my last one i pumped uncontrollaby lol!

EssentialHummus · 12/01/2017 08:46

pink hi from the other thread! I also had to self-refer. Waiting for someone (anyone!) to get in touch to move things on a bit.

I also suffer from anxiety (not pregnancy related, generalised) and of course it also "comes out" in the pregnancy in all sorts of ways. And then I get anxious about being anxious Confused.

Is anyone else losing their appetite? I'm not nauseous exactly, but just a bit green around the gills and not keen to eat anything. Having a showdown with a banana as we speak.

OkyDoke · 12/01/2017 09:17

Finally got a booking in appointment, next Wednesday when I will be 8+2! No idea what to expect.

Gingerbreadmam · 12/01/2017 09:17

Not me but i did a lot in my last pregnancy. If anything i am fancying weird stuff i would never normally dream of eating.

So far:
strawberry frijj milkshake
Dairylea jumbo tubes dunkers
Cheese and bean panini for dinner today (seemed a good idea last might, turning my stomache today)
Chilli sauce would go nice with just about anything right now
Chips and gravy
Kale with anything.

Gingerbreadmam · 12/01/2017 09:19

okey probs weigh you, take bloods, carbon monoxide test and then looottsss of paperwork on your history and circumances. Basically a ticky box exercise. You get some unexpected questions.

totallyLosingIt · 12/01/2017 09:24

I am a general anxiety/panic attack sufferer too. I found my last pregnancy quite stressful at the beginning, but actually later on in the pregnancy and throughout the first 2.5 years of DD's life I suffered less with panic attacks. I still get anxious, but about different things now (focused around DD) which I think is a normal anxiety and so I feel less anxious about having those feelings, if that even makes sense?!

EssentialHummus I find I am not able to eat as much for the last few weeks. Things like not managing to finish a whole banana/slice of toast/sandwich, even when I was feeling hungry before I started eating. I am finding that picking at stuff throughout the day is helping.

Pinkbottletop yes to the stomach cramps, period like pains, bloating etc etc. I can remember all that from my last pregnancy too, although I think I am feeling it stronger/earlier this time around. So sorry to hear about your mc last time. I can only imagine how much more anxious that would make someone in subsequent pregnancies Flowers

DH knew I was going to take a test, and asked if we could check the result together. He was happier than I thought he would be actually! And one of his first reactions was 'Wow, I am dangerous, aren't I?!' Hmm
It was only a cheapy test so I picked up a Clearblue the next day which showed 1-2 weeks Smile

SpringSpringSpring · 12/01/2017 09:30

Just found this thread and it feels very weird to be posting here Smile I'm 6 weeks now but have so few symptoms (bit like before a period - sore boobs, occasional cramps, mild nausea) it doesn't feel real at all. Seeing the GP next week though so hoping they will do a blood test to give me some certainty.

charlij91 · 12/01/2017 09:57

Gingerbreadmam I'm having the same relationship with food- I go from feeling nauseous to starving in about 2.5secs and then I have to have whats on my mind at that moment. Currently it's salt and vinegar mccoy crisps and petit filous yogurts! (Although now you've mentioned a dairylea dunker I cant stop thinking of those!

I'm 6+4 at the moment and over the past 2 weeks have been feeling so sick and exhausted, but after this weekend my sickness has subsided. I thought it was meant to get worse around 6 weeks- has anyone else had something similar?

guigirl14 · 12/01/2017 10:01

EssentialHummus i normally love my food but have gone right off a lot of things, particularly post 7pm when it's a struggle to eat anything. I've weirdly found a plain scone with butter does the trick for dinner. I have to make up for it with something healthier and more substantial at lunch.

I just had an early scan - it all suddenly got real! We saw the little one very clearly, heard a heartbeat and sonographer estimated 7+2. It was nice to be told the midwife will find my report boring at the booking app because everything is fine for now!! I highly recommend Kate at The Birth Company for any Londoners, although it is not a cheap option.

guigirl14 · 12/01/2017 10:03

charlij91 I felt better at 6 weeks then went off the rails with dizziness and nausea the last few days. I have no idea what's going on apart from hoping no more dizziness by 12 weeks...

oliversmummy26 · 12/01/2017 10:11

Morning ladies, so pleased I'm not the only one constantly farting nw85 - mine were pretty much propelling me around the house last night! Blush

pinkbottle congratulations on your BFP and so sorry for your MC, your story seems very similar to mine, I had a MMC at 10 weeks end of November last year, baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. So also very anxious this pregnancy and am symptom spotting constantly. Had a minor panic yesterday because I wasn't feeling sick yet, but felt dreadful this morning. Wasn't sick, but I feel a cross between hungover and seasick...so that makes me feel better. How many weeks do you think you are? Up until yesterday all I'd had was tummy cramps, back ache, spots, very teary, and crazy dreams...so I think what you're feelign is normal..could you call your midwifery unit and ask to speak to a midwife? Say you're anxious due to your previous pregnancy and just want to talk to someone?

Good luck on Friday emfe we'll be thinking of you Flowers

Feeling generally a lot better about things today, boobs are sore again and felt awful this morning, so yay!

6+2 today

oliversmummy26 · 12/01/2017 10:13

Oh, meant to say, we found out last weekend, DH had always said he wanted to find out with me, so I POAS while he was downstairs makign the coffee on Saturday morning. When he brought it up I had a massive grin on my face:

DH: what is it?
Me: I poas...look!
DH: looks blankly at test...
Me: we're pregnant!
DH: Wow, that's great news...congratulations!
Me: Congratulations to you too!!
DH:...we do catch quick don't we? (All proud of his super fast swimmers!)

HellsBellsK · 12/01/2017 10:51

Charlij I am the same - I was feeling terrible the first few weeks. I'm not sure if it was because I had a cold and getting migraines which make me feel sick.
Ill be 6+6 now - I feel tired really - but just started back to work on Monday and it has been so busy.
The only real symptom I have is that food is doing nothing for me. I don't really want anything. I love tea and coffee and not drinking them at all. Actually not liking any hot drinks.

emfe good luck on Friday - I have everything crossed for you Flowers

Tilly2017 · 12/01/2017 11:30

Hi all

I'm due Sept 15th time by my app... Although still early and hoping everything runs smoothly.

Had early scan on Jan 11th at 4 weeks.... saw a 2mm gestational sac and bloods all good but back tomorrow for more routine bloods and checks.

I have lots of cramps and pain on right side but been told that's the side egg came from and it's gets its nutrients from there until placenta is better established. Can't stand tea or coffee which is huge as I basically lived on it beforehand.... now surviving on squash, water and an occasional hot chocolate! Oh plus constantly running to the loo is driving me nuts... Hope your all getting on well xx

MrsK8541 · 12/01/2017 11:53

I've also suffered from chronic anxiety which was really bad in my last two (unsuccessful) pregnancies, but hasn't reared its ugly head this time. I am on 20mg of anti-depressants though which I'm seeing the doctor about next week.

I'm off work today with a horrendous cold which has taken away the small amount of energy I had Sad

Pinkbottletop · 12/01/2017 12:02

Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I'm a wreck with this! Constantly rushing to the bathroom if I feel a bit of wet down there to make sure it's not blood. I feel more pregnant than I did last time. I didn't find out until I was about 5 weeks before and because I wasn't sure if I wanted it, I made myself pretend it wasn't happening so as not to get attached.

This one was planned and I'm so excited, so of course now I'm attached and petrified!

It's good to know the cramping and bloating are normal.

Hummus, I've been the same with food. I only want food that appeals to me. Anything else and it makes me feel sick. The after smell of food is horrible too. Today I'm feeling quite nauseous and bloated which is making me not want to eat. My trousers are already feeling tight with his just absurd.

Spoke to the midwives today. They advised if I'm feeling overly anxious to go to the EPU and get a scan, so I may do so next Tuesday when I'm next working from home.

I haven't been peeing more than normal - is that weird? I am having more bowel movements though.

Oliversmummy I think I'm almost 5 weeks. It's really reassuring to hear other stories. I had crazy nightmares last night so very tired today.

roobois · 12/01/2017 12:54

Hi all,

Thanks for all the advise regarding my sister, I told her this morning and it all went ok. Tried not to sound too excited or talk about it too much so it wasn't such a big conversation for her. All your advice really helped.

Been feeling so sick over the last week I haven't been able to look at my phone. Pasta and cheese is the only thing I seem to be able to eat that feels satisfying. All so strange.

For everyone who got told to just complete the booking in online form! I was told this as well and sent off the form before Christmas, still haven't heard anything so I called my doctors again this morning and was told that I need to book in with the midwife and they would do that for me. Which is not what they said before so to worth chasing up with your doctors. I'm booked in for the 31st and hopefully I will get a scan soon after that.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day Smile

Pinkbottletop · 12/01/2017 13:36

Sorry roo can you clarify what you mean by booking in with the midwife?
