Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

Gingerbreadmam · 08/01/2017 17:08

OkyDoke · 08/01/2017 17:09

Thanks amz! Much appreciated.

Lucy, that all sounds very familiar! I still have sore bbobs and had a lot of cramps a week or so ago but apart from the fact i havent had a period since November i dont think i would know! Desperate for a scan now!

Amz26 · 08/01/2017 17:22

Welcome and congrats! EmFe bet that was a long read for you :)

I've added you both onto the stats! EmFe flossie

Also something was wrong with the spreadsheet so just got OH to help me as it was all mixed up!! If anything is wrong on it ladies let me know or change it yourself... I'm rubbish when it comes to stuff like this so lucky OH was on hand X

Amz26 · 08/01/2017 17:22

OkyDoke- no problem at all X

Sweetnlow · 08/01/2017 18:18

Hi thought i would join. Found out i was pg on Friday with my second. Bit of a surprise as we had discussed trying for a second but werent actively trying yet. My DD is 2 in Feb so will be 2y7 when this lo arrives.

Af was due arount NY but never fully turned up... had lots of brown spotting through the week and something made me test on Friday morning, not sure why i did the test as i never in my wildest dreams did i think i would be pregnant. I was so shocked to see two lines! Tested yesterday with clear blue and got 2-3 weeks.

I have however still got a lot of brown/pink and the odd wipe of red spotting so im desperately trying not to get my hopes up just incase. I did have spotting with my DD and ended up being sent for an early scan at 7 weeks which showed everything was fine so im hoping for the same again.

hey ginger yeah i am . BMI is 34 obv qould like it to be lower but hey ho. I had bought a cross trainer in december there (before my bfp) and wary of using it this early on.

Had to phone materity hosp this evening. I know this is probably TMI but when i was at the toilet i was feeling abit constipated but when i wiped there was red blood. More than spotting. So when i phoned them they advised pad, paracetamol and to phone epas in the morning. If i'm in pain or anything to go in. I seems to be just a brown mucous now and nothing on the pad. Whilst she said it wasnt normal it may not necessarily be bad news. So i have to sit tight and cross my fingers x

Kskifred · 09/01/2017 06:07

How stressful lucy thinking of you Flowers fingers are crossed that it ceased in the night and was nothing to worry about. Are you going to phone epu anyway?

Nw85 · 09/01/2017 07:22

Oh Lucy, hope it's stopped this morning, I spotted with second pregnancy and she's currently arguing with her sister so try not to worry too much, although I remember being told the same. Only seeing her on a screen put mind at ease.
So Saturday I felt extremely pregnant, yesterday not at all. So weird, I was thankful I could get on with my day without nausea but I missed it 🙊

Nw85 · 09/01/2017 07:22

I think we'll need thread two soon!

Gingerbreadmam · 09/01/2017 07:49

Mines a little higher and like u i thought id has time to do something about it then got bfp!

I hope things are still settled lucy. This may or may not put your mind at rest but with my.pfb i had bad trapped wind once and forced it out. I felt like a pop and next thing blood. Fortunately everythimg was fine and they couldnt find the bleed on the scan.

MouseLove · 09/01/2017 08:36

Certainly don't get on that xtrainer Lucy if you've never done it before. They are quite cardio heavy as they work everything. If it doesn't have a variable resistance setting then it can be quite hard on your body. I really hope your spotting f's off. X

Nw, nawww we got a while yet. We're not even half way full. 1k+ for a new thread. X

Hope everyone is ok this gloomy Monday morning. I'm hoping the weather gets a bit better soon. 😕

WhatwouldRuthdo · 09/01/2017 09:17

Good morning! Hope all's ok today Lucy. I'm still sickness free thankfully but have terrible spotty skin. I'd forgotten about this delightful side effect from my first pregnancy. Combine that with the bloated tummy and I look lovely ha. It's a small thing in the grand scale of things of course, but anyone got any tips to clear up the bad skin? I'm 34 and I look like a spotty teenager. With eye bags.

lucylou1234 · 09/01/2017 09:43

Hi guys. Bleeding stopped n looked at Google last night which reassured me as lots of people describing similar. I phoned episode this morning more for reasurance so just waiting on them phoning me back
They'll probably say just to wait till Friday when I have scan booked unless there's more spotting or any pain.

Thanks mouse. It's not the first I've used cross trainers I rather enjoy them :). I prefer them to running as lower Impact on muscles n joints I just don't want to be doing it when everythings still settling in xxxx

Gingerbreadmam · 09/01/2017 09:43

What would i dont know why but aveno daily moisturiser, the one with the green writing, works wonders for my face!

FXSkip · 09/01/2017 10:29

Morning all - ruth I don't know what your routine is but in general I'd say put as few things on your skin as you can get away with. Lots of modern makeups and face care things are full of chemicals which you'd be slathering onto your biggest organ (your skin, not your face lol) maybe try an organic with hazel dabbed on to large spots if they're greasy?

Also with regards exercise, although doctors will tell you not to start a new exercise regime during pregnancy, they really mean don't take up marathon running if you've never ran before! Elliptical, swimming and walking are the safest to pick up in 1st trimester and many women find that doing so alleviates many of the symptoms associated with early pregnancy, but if you feel breathless, dizzy or faint then stop! Also body weight exercises like squats and lunges help to prepare the body for birth. Energetically giving birth is equivalent to running a marathon, so training is essential.

Amz26 · 09/01/2017 11:03

Morning all.. hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

I'm glad you're spotting has stopped now lucy it's such a worry isn't it l!

Has anyone else been crying a lot lately? I'm so emotional X

Amz26 · 09/01/2017 11:04

Also welcome and congratulations to the newbies X

WhiteLily86 · 09/01/2017 11:18

Thanks to whoever added me to spreadsheet and good work on the stats too :)

I have had spotting on and off all weekend. One bout of bright red, but again mostly when wiping only. I am not too concerned as don't have really bad cramps or anything. I had the stretchy feeling a few days back so hoping it's just getting comfy in there. I have my appointment on 19th so holding tight until then! I am 5+6.

More of a concern is my cold that I cannot seem to shift. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow. Has moved into my throat and struggling as can't seem to take anything for it (lemsips etc). At least until I see the midwife. I am more worried it is something sinister - tonsils, glands all feel swollen. Maybe I should call the doc anyway as it is just getting worse.

These crazy dreams are so entertaining haha!! Glad we are all on this chat, lots with similar symptoms and great to be able to chat at this early stage (we are hoping to not even tell parents until 12weeks!).

oliversmummy26 · 09/01/2017 11:44

Good morning all,

WhiteLily I've got the same problem as you with a cold, it's very odd, started out as a cold just after Christmas, but is now just all snot and phlegm, I get to the stage where I worry I won't be able to breathe sometimes!

Other symptoms are spots (glad I'm not the only one!), extreme tiredness in the evenings, and had a few little cramps over the weekend...no sickness or nausea yet really..

5+6 today (I think!)

WhatwouldRuthdo · 09/01/2017 12:15

Thanks Ginger and FXSkip. Glad it's not just me either oliversmummy! I would have popped into Boots for some witch hazel (already have Aveeno) but my DS had a lying down sulk in the middle of the shopping centre and I decided to beat a quick retreat.

Whitelily honey and lemon is a good natural cold and sore throat remedy. Might help.

lucylou1234 · 09/01/2017 12:20

whitelily. I'm the same had a terrible cough n phlemy keepinge up through the night. Ended up phoning in sick for work because of how bad it was. Oh went n got me Vicks vapor rub n cough sweeties n checked with the pharmacist I was allowed them. These are filling e it's butter menthol tht ur not allowed . ( Not that I've ever heard of it)

Gingerbreadmam · 09/01/2017 12:45

Glad people keep updating their symptoms. I must spend 80% off the day thinking oh god i dont feel pregnant. I dont feel sick. My boobs rnt killing.

Im only 5+2 Grin i need to stop worrying!

I do have cramps, bloat, cnt suck my belly in, weird dreams, slight nausea when i havent eaten in a while but if im busy i don't tend to notice it.

oliversmummy26 · 09/01/2017 12:46

I can't see the spreadsheet, is it further back in the thread somewhere? If I give my stats, could someone add me to it?

Age: 36
Cycle: 1 (post MC last December)
Children: 1 (DS age 4.5)
EDD: 8th September (complete guess as only 6 weeks since MC!)
Status: married
Location: Devon
Finding out sex: Yes, though won't be telling many people

Thank you, off for some lunch now, starving!! Trying to lose some pounds before booking in in the vain attempt to get a lower bmi than I did last time!

WLMcI · 09/01/2017 12:49

I'd love to join in, as it's so hard having to keep something this exciting a secret and I'm dying to talk to people (it's my first)! I'm calculating my own due date sometime in the first week of September, but obviously will know better after the dating scan. Currently I'm about 5 weeks so still really early, but my goodness, the boob surge (and associated soreness) has already begun! Also, I dreamed so clearly about us holding our baby last night, really distinctive features that look a bit like my husband (although it was a girl in the dream), so eerie. Do other people get these surreal dreams too? Anyway I'm a bundle of nerves until the first appointment, so it's a relief to know I'm not alone there Wink
