Hi all - looks like I'm first here! I'm pregnant with #1, due 2 September. Got my BFP a couple of days ago and already it feels like a rollercoaster ride - I'm utterly thrilled, anxious about the possibility of a loss and terrified at the thought of the birth! But hey, bring it on! Smile

Hello all,
Been watching the thread but nervous to actually join in as my due date works out as 16th Sept so I feel a bit behind (a bit early to start discussing!). But 4 strong positive tests i'm pretty convinced now!

Stats:
Age: 34
Cycle BFP: 1
Baby: 1DS (Just turned 3)
Due date: 16th sept
Status: married
Fur babies: none
Location: Sussex

I'm not having any symptoms yet but I didn't with my DS so i'll see how we get on this time. I have self-referred to the hospital where I had my DS as had a great experience - very supported and had a water birth with no pain meds (The last thing I thought I'd do as my birth plan listed any medication necessary!). I had an early scan last time at 9 weeks due to bleeding but will not request one this time unless I get similar.

So excited about this pregnancy but super anxious as I didn't cope well with the newborn stage (actually the whole baby stage!) I felt quite lonely and didn't enjoy it - It look 18 months to start loving being a mum so i'm hoping this time I can be more confident and enjoy it all.

I did private antenatal classes last time and they were okay but I didn't get lucky with my group and only stay in touch with 1 other mum. I did build up a fab group from baby groups though.

So that's me - hello!

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining the chat. I got my bfp yesterday and then clear blue digital today says 1-2! So tentatively getting excited. This is my third pregnancy but my first two resulted in miscarriages at around 9 weeks. I didn't have many symptoms last time but I'm already feeling a dull ache in my lower back and some dull crampy feelings. So tired too, but that could just be my first day back at school with chatty teenagers! Just praying these cramps are normal and not the first sign of something going wrong Sad

I should be due around16th September based on lmp!

X

Hi MrsK and sJnd. Welcome.

Re the two new stats:

Finding out the sex: yes, at 12 weeks

Names: I have no many ideas! I have marmite taste in names though. My first three are Matilda, Theodora and Wilfred. They are know as Tilda, Thea and Freddie.

Stalingrad · 05/01/2017 21:28

To be clear those are the names of my existing kids, not my first three ideas.

Kskifred · 05/01/2017 21:32

Welcome! I'm not due til the 14th so early on too!

Age: 28
Cycle BFP: 4 of properly charting
Children: DS, 2.7
EDD: 14th Sept
Status: Living with for 5 years
Location: Dorset

I was cracking open the prune juice at 6am Blush
i've had a small amount of spotting again today and some pressure cramping this evening, also some niggly sharp tugs on cervix area (only know this as had cervical biopsies and feels the same) today. Once tomorrow is out the way (af day) all the 6 tests i've done i'm hoping will be enough reassurance!

Kskifred · 05/01/2017 21:35

Stalin great names for your DCs, I have a Freddie too Grin

Can I join too please? BFP on the 23rd, and due around 2/9/17 by my reckoning. An unexpected surprise but so so happy. Not had much in the way of symptoms other than sore boobs and constipation but that's normal for me in early pregnancy. Had 1 mc at 9 weeks before years ago. Really stressed - hate this early stage of constant worry and knicker checking. Just keep telling myself that there's no reason for things to go wrong.

Stats wise:

Age: 37
Cycle BFP: 1
Baby: 5
Due date: 2/9/17
Status: married
Fur babies: 4

Ill do some snazzy facts & figures tomorrow!

guigirl14 · 05/01/2017 22:28

Thanks Mouse, i think I've popped myself on there!

DH is Star Wars mad so he wants Carrie if it's a girl...I like that name luckily. But if it's a boy we haven't found many we both like yet!

MouseLove · 05/01/2017 22:36

Guigirl it's gotta be Luke surely? Lol. Actually my friend called his little boy luke last year for the same reason.

Kskifred · 05/01/2017 22:44

Pretty much all names I like DP doesn't, names we have agreed on are either Henry, Arthur or for a girl just Aurora.

Martha and Mable have grown on me recently too but DP not keen! Aurora was our girls name first time around and we both live it so would probably go with this.

We aren't going to find out - didn't with ds either. I would love a daughter but at the same time i know how amazing sons are so either way will be a blessing

Stalingrad · 05/01/2017 22:58

KSK - I think Arthur is near the top of our boys list. I also like Hector.

goiaba · 05/01/2017 23:07

Stalingrad, I absolutely love Arthur for a boy's name, great choice!

My agreement with my husband was that if it's a girl I'll name her and if it's a boy he will name him. At the time that seemed a good idea, but now that I'm pregnant I'm starting to think I should decide the name in both cases. My husband likes Oscar and I like Violet (I know it's a bit of an old fashioned name, but my mom's family has a violet tradition going on which skips one generation, so now it's my turn and I also like the name).

Shwighty1 · 05/01/2017 23:09

Have added my details to the sheet, well done for setting it up.

Amz26 · 05/01/2017 23:13

Such lovely names ladies 😘

We like the names oliva and alexander but you never know things might change X

Shwighty1 · 05/01/2017 23:41

Has anyone had a water birth?

I was thinking about home water birth but just realised that our kitchen diner where I'd need to be has one of those detachable sprayer taps rather than a standard one a hose could attach to. Hmm

Not sure water birth is really viable now, bath is upstairs and on opposite side of house so don't think I could run a hose from there either.
