Mooseville · 05/12/2016 18:41

Hello!!

This is a new wave of grads for those from #TTC1 - Those on the first grade thread are dealing with poonamis and crying babies, while we are still waving our FRER's and wondering if that line is really a figment of our imagination!

Feel free to join in, if you too are embarking on this crazy journey to parenthood!!

Haha sorry Skip!

It might be worth you having a look at Vista Fishy im a bit of a weakling but I had a good play with them all and felt comfortable that I could manage puting Vista up and down on my own and getting the carrycot/pushchair bit on and off etc. It's heavyish but not the heaviest frame and I reckoned I could manage lifting it in and out of the boot on my own too. We ruled some other similar prams out as I found them harder to put up and out, adjust etc on my own. Worth having a really good play with stuff and work out what you feel comfortable with that suits your needs Smile don't know if the Cruz is the same but the Vista folds up and down with the pushchair attachment still on which I thought was really handy.

That's exciting Kav means you'll get another scan really soon! Grin

Glad you're feeling better mouse sometimes a trip to the gym/doing something from pre-pregnancy is just what you need!

FXSkip · 17/01/2017 14:26

It all sounds so scary! Well I just had my first proper vom - getting a taxi back to work after a lunch meeting with 4 seniors/directors and they're all talking about food just sent me over the edge. I went grey, but managed to hold it in until got back to the office then had to sprint to ladies 🤢 Cant get the smell of sick out of my nose 😭

MrsG280516 · 17/01/2017 17:13

Oh Skip! Sounds awful, hope it doesn't continue.

I've had a frustrating day. Got a call this afternoon from the midwife I'm supposed to be having my booking appointment with tomorrow. Turns out they won't see me because I live in a different borough now and not under the same NHS trust. So I've had to register at a new GP today and will have to call a new set of midwives in the morning to see if I can get a booking appt asap. I'm 10+4 tomorrow and really worried I won't get a scan date in time for the screening. Grrrr. Sad

MouseLove · 17/01/2017 18:59

What a nightmare MrsG!!!!! That's quite late for a booking appointment as it is. They wanted to see me in my 8th week without question. I wouldn't worry about your scan though they scan right up to 14 weeks now.

I was offered a flu jab today at the nurse while she was taking my bloods for thyroid update. Anyone had it?

LovelyFishy · 17/01/2017 20:08

Mouse glad you're feeling better. Smile

Kav Uppababy has a selection of bright (and not so bright) colours but I wish it had patterns too!

Skip sorry it was at work but in a weird way congrats on your first pregnancy vom? GrinHmm

MrsG you wonder why they only realised that not, such bad timing on their part! They'll manage to fit you in on time I'm sure, you may not get much choice of when though!

Mouse I had the flu jab, not something I normally get. Was all fine, and I'm a bit of a wimp!

Mooseville · 18/01/2017 06:51

I had the whooping cough jab in one arm and the flu in the other on Monday! That made sleeping interesting as I couldn't lie on either arm!

An exciting, busy week for me! Just at Heathrow awaiting my flight to Dubai and then when I get back we are finally moving house!!!! Bring on the renovations! Also very excited about choosing nursery decor! At the moment I'm erring towards a grey and white cloud them with some rainbows thrown in! That may change though lol

Oooh Dubai sounds exciting Moose!

Well I managed to speak to a midwife this morning and I've got a new booking appointment on Friday afternoon when I'll be 10+6 so lets hope they can get me an urgent date for a scan next week.

marmitecheesetoast · 18/01/2017 12:19

That does sound frustrating MrsG you'd think they'd have realised before now! Try not to worry though, I didn't have my booking in until almost 10 weeks, my trust said they don't tend to see anyone for booking in sooner than around 9 weeks, and they booked me a scan within less than a fortnight. And that's in a big busy big city hospital trust. They will make sure they get you in in time to do the measurements for the screenings.

Sorry to hear about your first real vom Skip at least you made it to the loos!! I do not envy you, remember the grossness of sick coming out my nose too. Have you thought about getting some sick bags to keep with you in your handbag should the worst happen? It gave me a bit of comfort knowing I had something with me should the worst happen when I was no where near a loo (or bin!)

I'm glad I had my flu jab and whooping cough jab separately moose as they both left me with v achey arms! Sounds like a nightmare for sleeping!
Very exciting times all round for you with Dubai and then the house move! Have a great time Grin Love the sound of your nursery decor too! I haven't got beyond some vague idea of yellows and/or greens and maybe greys (gender netural!) with maybe white/cream furniture. Have you seen wallpaper/decal that you like?

MouseLove · 18/01/2017 12:49

Moose you trooper with the double injections!!! Sounds like I best get it on my right arm. 😧

MrsG that sounds promising!! I'm sure you'll be in for your scan in no time.

2 babies in the office this morning. Both very cute and tiny. Mums looking wonderful and slim literally weeks after giving birth. 😩 Lucky sods lol

Think I might listen to some meditation at lunch as I'm having one of those distracted days. Tut tut!!

kavanaughkj · 18/01/2017 14:33

I've just had to snooze at lunch. Another night of work until 2am, as if I'm not knackered enough from pregnancy! I've been able to tell everybody at work now after my scan now which was nice though.

MrsG, I have my first midwife visit tomorrow morning, and I'm 11+1 today - they really left it late and if I didn't already have a private nuchal scan booked I'd be a bit worried about it. I'm not sure I need to go to the NHS as well, though I'd be interested to see if they came up with the same result!

Dubai sounds fantastic Moose. Enjoy! I've seen the airport there (very swish) but that's about it!!

So want a holiday. I had a 'week off' over the period between Christmas and New Year which essentially was no rest at all as I was moving and having to work as well at the time. I have 11 days holiday to use by the end of March but a big deadline then as well and I have no idea how I'm going to fit anything in. To be honest I'd just welcome a week off to sleep at the moment but I'll be surprised if I can take any time at all.

Hope you're feeling a bit more chilled Mouse - I've been thinking of you.

Musicgrrl · 18/01/2017 17:09

Hello everyone! Been quiet for a couple of weeks because I have been preparing for a job interview (still within my current firm). Had the interview this morning and it went TERRIBLY. Literally so bad. Now I just feel like I have wasted two weeks of my life!! Also far too many people at work know I was going for it so it is just going to make it worse when the results come out. Ah well, planning a nap and a dense stodgy pie for dinner when I get home. Will catch up on the the thread properly soon!

FXSkip · 18/01/2017 17:29

Oh dear musicgrrl that's not ideal - at least you have a grand excuse though...

kav I don't know how you do it, I work from 9am to 9pm one day a week and I literally cried this morning thinking about it. I work very near home though, so last week I was nipping home every day at lunch time for a nap but then one day I woke up after an hour and 40mins and didn't know what year it was - the rest of that afternoon went terribly 😱

miwelaisjacydo · 18/01/2017 17:57

Hi all can I please gingerly putbone foot through the door.

Had my BFP two days ago. Am excited but nervous and just want everything to be ok.
No real signs at all bug boobs huge and am so tired.

This is cycle 11 for me.
Well hello. backs out of room slowly

miwelaisjacydo · 18/01/2017 17:59

Put one

MouseLove · 18/01/2017 18:11

I'm in bits. Just received a call from my GP.

Had thyroid bloods taken yesterday as in October it showed I was hyperthyroid. My referral got sent back in November because there wasn't a reason attached and if I'm honest with Christmas and everything BFP I didn't worry. I saw my GP Saturday and she suggested I have new bloods.

She's just rang and said the results are the same but because I'm pregnant I'm considered high risk and need immediate referral. They can't do anything tonight but I have an appointment tomorrow with my GP where they will send me to EPU for a scan and then onto the endocrinologist for thyroid treatment as an urgent priority.

I'm sat on the tram in tears. I've had tummy ache all afternoon. Bad feeling. I haven't even told anyone I'm pregnant yet. I'm going to have to tell my mum tonight under these circumstances and I'm heartbroken about it.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

miwelaisjacydo · 18/01/2017 18:16

Mouse 💐Oh love just try and get everything out of your head until tomorrow when you know more. My advice write down everything in your head so that you get it out.

Talk to your mum. Have fingers well and truly crossed. Xx

Musicgrrl · 18/01/2017 18:56

mouse so sorry to hear that. Did they tell you anything about what it means and what the risk is? At least they are taking it seriously and it is always good to get an early scan.

Welcome miw! Lovely to have you over here.

MrsG280516 · 18/01/2017 19:05

Fingers crossed it's nothing that can't be treated mouse there's a few people on the August babies thread who have thyroid issues and I think they just need an increased dose of thyroid medication during pregnancy.

Seahawk80 · 18/01/2017 19:15

Hi guys - is it ok if I join? I only just found this thread. I was on the TTC1 thread for what felt like forever. I'm now 16+3 and had a scan yesterday because I still can't believe this is happening!

Mouse I'm really sorry to hear that. I ended up telling my mum on the phone when my 12 week scan came back 1/13 for downs and Edwards. It wasn't what I'd planned at all but she was great and a chat with your mum always makes you feel better Flowers

HellsBellsK · 18/01/2017 20:19

Mouse sorry to hear the news - But it could be easily treated? Do talk to your mom - It will be good to have someone to chat to.

Had my early scan today 8 weeks - all is good thank god. Heart beating was lovely to see it flying along. Consultant just put me on a higher dose of folic acid cause of my spina bifida.

Hi miw & Seahawk

MouseLove · 18/01/2017 20:30

Thanks ladies. Told the family, mum, dad, sister & her fiancée (all live at my parents & we were there for tea) as we're super close. I cried. Mum cried and was overjoyed. Dad said well done 10 times. My sister cried and hugged me tightly and her fiancée said I better not milk it. They all are so happy.

We told them about tomorrow and the potential problem. I'm hopeful that everything will be ok. I'm really hoping that my bloods don't mean that baby isn't progressing but I'm keeping an open mind. Ironically I'm having a digging pain this evening on my left side. 😕

Thank you for all your support. I was a mess on the tram. Looked like a crazy crying lady.

HellsBellsK · 18/01/2017 20:47

Everything crossed for you tomorrow and sending positive vibes Mouse Let us know how you get on Flowers

Seahawk80 · 18/01/2017 21:56

Hi Hels congrats on the scan!

Good luck for tomorrow Mouse hopefully they just want you to see the consultant to keep an eye on you.

miwelaisjacydo · 18/01/2017 22:17

Best of luck tomorrow mouse. Always thought your username was mooselove not mouselove!

MouseLove · 18/01/2017 22:57

Sorry to answer a few earlier questions.

Doc is concerned that since my thyroid problem is unmedicated this could have an effect on baby. And that's why they want to scan me. I'll know more tomorrow but I'll assume I'm at a greater risk of miscarriage.

I can be treated with meds like anyone with a thyroid problem but right now priority is baby. And as I've been showing signs of anxiety, no pregnancy symptoms and clearblue digital test is not progressing they are not happy.

Can't fault my GP at all. They have been fantastic since I switched to them back in October. Very quick and understanding. I'm just quite worried that they have my results back so soon, I had my bloods done yesterday at 9am and she rang me at 6pm tonight. She mentioned that it was too late tonight to see me.

Seahawk nice to see you here, and 16 weeks already!! Did you end up having a harmony test, hope everything is ok now.

miwe I'm so glad you're here too!!! Long awaiting. X** You might have my name mixed up with mooseville lol

Hells so happy your scan went well!!! Great news you saw a heartbeat too.
