Nothing new to report from me today. Still barely any symptoms. I think I'm feeling slightly sick because of the hunger. Not that I actually want any food...

Mw appt on Tues Smile. So nervous and excited. Hopefully I'll get a scan date then too.

Oh Lily me too 😩

I've recently added sultana bran to my diet, and it's helped a bit. In the last couple of days I've managed some raspberries and strawberries through it too.

Any other remedies/suggestions greatly received!

Hope all's well, I'm working at a consumer event and I'm shattered today 😴

Just wondering if anyone knows how Katniss is!?? Not seen a post from her in a while, since she mentioned HG - hope she's ok

Masweetpea1 · 06/11/2016 15:36

My symptoms seem to have disappeared, even the horrid pain from the internal bleed. I know it's illogical but symptoms make you feel like something is happening inside without being able to see it! Comforting in a way.

I know im reading too much into it, but arghhhhhh!!

Hi everyone trying to catch up it's not great on the app. I don't like eggs anyway so have not had to think about them runny or not!

Had first appointment with the midwife on Friday and first scan is booked for 30th Nov when I will be 12+5 if early scan was accurate. Also got a date for a GTT at 25 weeks as my mum is diabetic. Next midwife app due at 16 weeks which is xmas day apparently so will be early or late.

Having major dilemmas re winter coat as I need something right now but would it be stupid to buy a standard coat now when I am likely to have a bump in Jan / Feb? Seems like a real waste to buy two.

Maxcat12 · 06/11/2016 16:20

Anyone feel like they are showing already?
I keep reading that at 10 weeks you shouldn't be but I have a definite bump....can't work out whether its that or bloating or maybe generally weight gain......anyone else's appetite through the roof and craving unhealthy food?

Tulip2013 · 06/11/2016 16:38

Hi Max. I've definitely got a bit of a tummy. In fact my husband's step dad guessed I was pregnant last weekend due to my tummy. Went to mothercare today and bought a maternity swimsuit. I try to jog once or twice a week but I'm getting out of breath much more easily so going to try to swim once a week and no way would I feel right in my normal bikini. I'm also wearing maternity jeans now too. Eek! New bras won't be far off!

Masweetpea1 · 06/11/2016 17:15

max i definitely have a tummy! 10 weeks tomorrow and i look like I'm 4 months, this is my 2nd though. Here's a photo for you to compare! I'm still trying to hide this at work Hmm, I'm normally a size 14 with 34j boobs to give you perspective on how big the bump is !!

Can someone update me on the spreadsheet please? Early scan is done (was last Monday) and 12 week scan is on 25th :)

northern I'd just buy a normal coat that's not too tight... I don't think we will have massive bumps by jan/Feb anyway? And from what I've read most people say maternity coats are a waste of money for the little time you will wear them

Maxcat12 · 06/11/2016 17:18

Glad i am not alone tulip.
I am wearing baggy clothes as we are not telling anyone,
Already have the maternity bras.....boobs were my first symptom. I have gone up a size and have soreness-maternity bra has definitely helped that area.

Masweetpea1 · 06/11/2016 17:31

Oh and my tummy is normally pretty flat too Blush
I'm not in maternity bras yet, i found them so uncomfortable (mono boob) last time that I'm leaving it until i can't bear under wired bras any longer. Smile

OP posts:
MumofthreeandBean · 06/11/2016 17:42

masweetpea I also hate mono boob but got some lightly padded maternity bras from next - they are great, no wire and so comfy!

I definately have a bump but my problem is excess from the last 3 😂 Its definately firming up though and it's annoying when I roll over at night already!!

mrspage1985 · 06/11/2016 18:04

Hi all - happy bunny here, another early scan (my 3rd and last before the NHS one on the 16th).
Went great, heartbeat legs and arms all seen clearly, even forehead and nose.
Beautiful baby and he/she was even moving around a bit! Seems so real now we have even been and told some family this afternoon! Smile

Aww mrspage that's lovely, I hope your family were really pleased Smile

I've always got a bit of a tummy as I put on weight very easily (which is why I run and try to eat healthy). My trousers are deffo getting tighter, even my stretchy skinny jeans! This is my first though so I'm assuming it's just bloat or weight gain. I've had to stop wearing slim fitted tops at work and go for baggy ones or tops that don't need to be tucked into my waistband!

What about buying a cape style coat? Are those still fashionable? Then you won't have to worry about it fastening up or getting tight around the middle?

I'm roasting a gammon joint for dinner. Mmmmmmmm. Grin

mrspage1985 · 06/11/2016 18:54

Thank you - yes they were well chuffed!!

I'm buying more capes / ponchos / waterfall cardigans than I could ever possibly need!!!
My main winter coat doesn't fully do up Confused but also putting off buying another for the time being.
That being said it is so cold lately i don't know how long I am going to last!

Monkeyandthebear · 06/11/2016 18:55

Dizzy I am jealous of the gammon, but got a roast chicken on so hopefully that will work.

Mrspage looking good there

I had to undo the button on my trousers the other day at work. I think my "bump" is actually just bloating. I ate a lot of prunes at the end of last week to deal with the bloating/constipation. No one ever tells you about these things before you get pregnant.

I have spent all day on the couch. Was sat with a sick bowl most of the morning. Wasn't actually sick but my nausea has turned into heaving and sitting on the bathroom floor a lot today. Feeling a bit better now, just frustrated about not managing to do anything today.

I also discovered what looks like stretch marks on my boobs today Sad

Dragon5000 · 06/11/2016 19:20

I seem to be losing weight, although stayed the same on the scales my trousers were getting tight and now are falling down again. I'm eating fine too and lots of crap. Pretty symptom free apart from tired even my boobs hardly hurt anymore.

I was 6 months in the winter before and just went up a couple of sizes in a normal coat i still wear it now it's baggy bit doesn't look stupid cos it's a winter coat. I bout a shawl thing today in Tesco which I'm in love with as been freezing and it goes over everything and is good at hiding any protusion that may occur!

I've just been saying to DP that I think I've put on tonnes of weight already!!

Have avoided the scales to save me the embarrassment.

I'm determined to get eating healthy again though. I've been eating a piece of fruit in the morning before work after my toast.
Still wanting my fruity sweets though!

I thought the hunger pangs were getting better. Just ate a huge pile of spag bol and I'm still hungry... Blush

northernquavers · 06/11/2016 20:50

A cape could def be the way forward you're right!

MissisBee · 06/11/2016 21:17

What a lovely picture mrspage
I fell asleep at the ILs today. They light their stove in the winter and the heat can be soporific at the best of times. Just couldn't resist it today. Apparently I missed a conversation about ponds...

I've been weighing myself weekly since I found out, just out of interest. I've lost a couple of pounds so far, kind of hoping I start gaining some soon although I'm having to undo my jeans most evenings.
My winter coat is fairly roomy so I'm hoping it'll see me through to the warmer weather.

VeganMama83 · 06/11/2016 22:12

Hello everyone!

I deffo have a small "bump" already! It's obvious as I've lost so much weight in the last 18 months and it's only come back a bit on my tummy. This is my third so I was expecting something to show sooner. Gone from size 10 work trousers to the 12's I still had.

Back to my healthy eating tomorrow tho as eating crap makes me feel like crap!
