My hunger seems to have settled down the last few days thankfully. On Sunday I literally couldn't stop eating! I have been trying to focus on healthy snacking but failing miserably, grazing on donuts and biscuits etc. Now I'm feeling normal again I'm going to try to quit sugar again. Today is day two, wish me luck!

LorrieJ · 24/11/2016 09:15

Good morning! Thank you all re: scan.
I was asleep within 10 minutes of pizza. The knock on effect of course meaning I've woken up at 8.30, so has the kid, so she's going to miss breakfast at preschool so I'm going to have to get my act together and feed us both. I ate all the pizza, so fruit and toast here we come!

MumofthreeandBean · 24/11/2016 09:20

six problem is not really solved but two boys are going into our smaller room and we will share with the babies - then clearout and insulate a large shed and make into a den for the older 3 - that way if we don't manage to move by the time the twins are bigger we can have bedrooms just for sleeping in

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/11/2016 09:24

Sounds like your going to have a busy house mum. Can they tell if the babies are identical at this stage and therefore same sex? I imagine same sex would make bedroom allocations a little easier when the babies are older.

Mooseville · 24/11/2016 09:27

Morning all,
Told work colleagues this morning - it's slowly spreading round the office. I work in quite a male orientated environment and they've been very sweet, all coming up to hug me!!!!

20% off ASOS today with code GOGOGO or so an email I've got says! I've not tried it. I've bought some Tshirts from there and they're lovely if too big for now! Their jeans were too short for me so I went with Mothercare longer length as they do 33".

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/11/2016 10:52

I've been thinking about the bedroom situation a bit more mumofthree and I feel like a spoiled brat. We currently have 4 bedrooms. Ds1 (teen) has to have his own room - he has a disability and has an ensuite room, that has to stay the same. Ds2 (teen) has the biggest bedroom in the house and ds3 (the toddler) has the smallest room which is at a push a small double bedroom. Me and DH have a good sized double. The plan is for the baby to stay in with us for a year and then ds2 to go into the smallest room and ds3 and the new baby share the biggest room. Ds2 will not be happy about having to give up the big room but he won't want to share with a little one. DH is worried that if baby is a girl we will need an extra bedroom in 5 or 6 years and he wants to convert the loft. I think he doesn't want to upset ds2 by making him move to a smaller room either. I don't think converting the loft is possible because of the roof shape, nor affordable. I appreciate we have lots of space and feel like this has got to be the biggest first world problem for a good while.

MundayCakes85 · 24/11/2016 10:53

Baby snoozing the whole time, everything where it should be! EDD moved forward to 2nd June so 12.6 by their calculations! Now trying to explain to DD where the baby is- she wants to get a torch to look in my belly button 😂😂

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/11/2016 11:57

munday great pic. Your dd is so sweet! Bless her!

Someone mentioned upthread about the baby show.....has anyone actually been and is it any good? I'm thinking about getting early bird tickets for sil and I to go to excel in March, as long as it's worth the trip.

oliversmummy26 · 24/11/2016 11:59

Munday that is so cute of your DD! How old is she?

bluesky I'm a fairly chubby size 14 normally (and am about 1.5 stone heavier now than I was when I got pregnant with DS 4 years ago) I have a flabby mummy tummy rather than a bump. But if I wear maternity jeans it looks like a 20 week bump, just softer, so rolls when I sit down, lol Blush
I'm hoping that in a couple of weeks (I'm 9+2 today) the bloat will settle down and I'll have a proper bump. At the moment I just look like I've put on weight, which is hardly surprising with the amount I've been eating!
Pasty for lunch, yum!!

babyand · 24/11/2016 12:19

How is everyone feeling?
When did you start to feel better?
9+6 and struggling.

flossie79 · 24/11/2016 12:26

Just got my booking in appointment through the post and it's still not for another 2 weeks by which point I'll be slightly over 12 weeks. Does anybody think this seems really late?? Slightly concerned that it won't leave much time for a scan before 14 weeks.

oliversmummy26 · 24/11/2016 12:31

flossie that does seem quite late...with my first pregnancy my booking in was at 12 weeks, but also had a scan booked the same day...

Might be worth contacting your GP/MW if you can and querying?

HighHopes16 · 24/11/2016 13:10

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies. I had my booking in appointment yesterday, so its starting to feel a bit more real.
Hopefully my 12 week scan is before Christmas as we plan to tell our families then.
9 + 1 today and suffering badly with nausea and tiredness. When did everyone start to feel better?

NappingRabbit · 24/11/2016 13:13

Sorry you're struggling babyand and highhopes. I've felt much better in the last week or so, from around 10 weeks. It was the same last time too, so hopefully it will improve soon for you both.

Munday lovely scan pic! If I ask DS where my baby is he rubs my tummy, but yesterday he then rubbed his own and nodded when I asked if there was a baby in his tummy Grin

11+3

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/11/2016 13:38

That is very late flossie. Could
You ring them and see if you have anything sooner?
I have my booking in tomorrow and I will be 10+3.

element19 · 24/11/2016 14:18

For those struggling I can also agree that I have started to be sick less often (seems to be when I am tired) and managed my first full day of work yesterday in weeks, that was at 11+1. Eight days and counting till my scan.

MissisBee · 24/11/2016 15:06

I'm having a grumpy day and need to rant.
Work got off to a pointlessly annoying start cos my printer ran out of toner and someone had used the last one. I ended up having to transplant myself to another office, which was freezing. 2 colleagues were being inadvertently annoying. They weren't doing anything wrong, they're both justa bit inexperienced at their jobs, which isn't their fault, I just found I had no patience today. Then, I'd forgotten I'd said I'd stay an extra hour to do an admin thing and all I wanted was to go home ( I normally work to 6 and can manage fine, but staying to 2.30 seemed such a hardship!!).
I'm now home, it's a lovely sunny, crisp afternoon and I know it would do me good to go out for a walk but I'd much rather go to bed.

Sorry about all that, feel better getting it all off my chest Smile

MissisBee · 24/11/2016 15:09

I'm 10+3 now and definitely feeling less sick this week. My scan is in 8 days and keep having dreams about it. One, I turned up and they said no, you're not down for a scan today, go away. Another where the scan was so brief, we just about saw baby and heartbeat but she refused to do any measurements or give me a picture

LorrieJ · 24/11/2016 15:36

Congratulations Munday! It's such a relief isn't it!

All well here, hyperactive single bean who didn't stay still at all! Obviously beautiful, looks a little like an alien with brain matter, a heart, a spine and a little bum. I'll post scan pic if I can work out how to attach.
So they couldnt get the NT so they've advised me to go back at 15 weeks for a quadruple blood test which I understand only tests for Downs and isn't as accurate as the combined test. I think I'm definitely going to go for the Iona now.
I've been advised I can have a VBAC pending them finding detailed surgery notes from my previous c-section. They'll review at my anomaly scan.

LorrieJ · 24/11/2016 15:42

No idea if the nub is visible, I don't mind people guessing the sex!

LorrieJ · 24/11/2016 15:45

Oh, and EDD is now 5/6!

HighHopes16 · 24/11/2016 15:54

Sounds like in a couple of weeks, we should be feeling better then babyand ! Smile

Am I the only one who declined the screening for Down's syndrome at the 12 week scan?

When the midwife asked us, I said that I'd rather not know if we were low or high risk as I couldn't even contemplate having a termination.

haveacupoftea · 24/11/2016 16:17

highhopes i've had no screening as I live in NI, screening isn't standard here as termination isn't an option anyway.

haveacupoftea · 24/11/2016 16:18

Can't see a nub Lorrie sorry!

Walkerbean16 · 24/11/2016 16:31

High hopes, I accidentally declined the screening as I said I didn't want it thinking it was the amniocentesis one, then at the scan she said it says here you don't want any screening Blush
