Today I physically feel ok after a weird night. I was awake for 2 1/2 hours from 1:30 and in the end had to get up and eat something because I was so hungry. Had a good number of hours in total though. Today I could cry at anything. Watching Wales v Australia rugby and almost cried because the Welsh team are wearing black armbands for a player's dad. I think I have lost my marbles today. Confused

Hazy I am Scottish but live in England and have to explain about not really deep frying mars bars but that we do deep fry pizza! That explain square sausage and tattie scones Grin

Just about to finish knitting a rainbow striped sock. Can't wait to knit baby stuff Smile

Just back from a 5 hour shopping trip with my mum. It's the first time we have been shopping together in over a year and it was so good. I had to stop myself several times from telling her that I'm pregnant. DH and I made an agreement that we won't be telling anyone until after the 12 week scan but I am really
Close to my mum so it was hard not telling her. She bought me a dress that I really liked and it was difficult not telling her that it won't fit me for long. Ah well, I didn't change dress size in my other pregnancies so hopefully this pregnancy will be the same and the dress will still be wearable this time next year

MumofthreeandBean · 05/11/2016 15:30

Sounds lovely six

Monkey I am currently crocheting Xmas gifts, there will be no stopping me with baby blankets etc once these are finished!!

peace I agree re:eggs - not wanting one at all right now, runny or solid!!

Seems loads of us have a scan on 22nd November!! Will be lots of pics uploaded that day!

haveacupoftea · 05/11/2016 16:32

So I managed to find a bargain book today for £1 in charity shop! So spent the last hour browsing it :). Read up to the end of first trimester and also the sections on birth options, shopping list etc.

I'm off eggs! After my post this morning I rang my mum moaning how much I wanted bacon and ended up going round there and she cooked me a fry up for breakfast (minus any egg haha)! Grin bless her. Then we went shopping (and got the book)

Now time to curl up on the sofa in my nest for the evening (dp working). I promised myself I'd do housework today but only managed doing a load of washing before the shopping trip with mum after brekkie and then meeting up with a friend!

KittyVonCatsington · 05/11/2016 17:52

Yea I've heard that about the lion stamp but midwives aren't giving that advice yet

One of my midwives advised that the lion stamp eggs were fine back when I was pregnant in 2015! Totally fine! Grin

My scan is not till first week of December - boo!!

Purplefairy21 · 05/11/2016 18:16

Sorry for the radio silence. I've finally managed to catch up with all the thread stuff. Mixture of in the land of grim sickness 24/7 and very bad/no Internet. Im another with 12 week scan on 22nd November when I'll be 12+2. Can't remember who was eating a lot of fried chicken but chicken dippers for breakfast or any time really here too Blush or kfc. Struggling to eat proper meals atm sort of kiddie sized portions but more frequently. Which is annoying when I'm starving and 2 bites later I feel full. I gave in too runny eggs last time with ds at about 6/7 months pg under the logic of what's it going to do at this stage...it was heaven. Just don't come near me with em right now or you might end up wearing it. Envy was thinking about getting a private scan this week but as dating scan is two weeks away don't know if should or not as it's 100 quid and this week is a personal milestone to get through.

FlashingLights · 05/11/2016 18:54

I just had runny eggs on toast for dinner and DP suggested I should cook them more. I raised my eyebrow and reminded him of my job.

purple kiddy portions here too! It's really helped my nausea.

NappingRabbit · 05/11/2016 19:40

My scan is on the 28th Nov. I was also near the end of the bus with DS and it felt like ages to wait for everything but I was far from the last to give birth.

I'm sure my mw said runny eggs are OK I remember her saying something about lion stamping but I can't stand runny eggs at the best of times so not really relevant to me!
I have consumed so much grapefruit squash already this poor baby won't be allowed statins ever!

I don't fancy any food except crisps but can basically eat anything if I just eat it without thinking too much. However really, really not fussed by anything sweet which is odd for me

Went for a private scan this afternoon. I'd been trying to resist having one but gave in. All well, one little bean with a heartbeat and measuring about the right size. Have a small fibroid too but not too worried about that. DH and I went for an Indian afterwards. I'm with you all on the tiny portions - the staff kept coming to check it was OK as I'd eaten barely half of it. It was lovely.

Hi there,

Just very tentatively dropping in..

I miscarried (was 11.5 weeks :( ) and had an ERPC 8 weeks ago (formerly known as a D&C). However, I had a positive pregnancy test on Monday! (not related to the miscarriage as had several negative ones in between). Had an early scan and I'm 6 + 5!

Suffering pretty badly with vomiting most of the day! Same with my first pregnancy with DD who is 19mo.

Hope everyone is doing okay and managing their symptoms.

Absolutely bricking it here as so hoping this one sticks...

Dragon5000 · 05/11/2016 20:42

Welcome floppy! Sorry it's been so tough but fx and lots of love x x x

LilyCat43 · 05/11/2016 21:10

Lovely scan pic missis Smile

Ovia and pregnancy plus giving me dire warnings about calcium intake today...i'm smug knowing that i'm covered with my pregnacare, till I check the box and it has NO calcium in Confused

Cue swigging a pint of milk in panic! Blush

MissisBee · 05/11/2016 21:51

Thanks tea
Welcome floppy hope everything goes well for you.

It was funny at the scan. We arrived to a waiting room full of people. Turned out it was about a dozen members of the same family all there for a 4d scan, 4 generations of them. The granny managed to get herself locked in the toilet, cue hysterics and snorting from the rest of the tribe!! Grin

MumofthreeandBean · 05/11/2016 21:56

Lmao missus

Skee · 05/11/2016 22:08

Welcome and congratulations to our newbies! Star

Sorry to hear you've had such a tough time of it Potato x x

MundayCakes85 · 06/11/2016 08:17

Morning all, just having a catch up. Too many people to reply to, except to say I love a runny egg and haven't stopped eating them this time.
Was at a wedding all day yesterday, DH was drinking for both of us- was a bit of a mess. Thought my nice peplum dress would cover my belly- it didn't! But luckily I only knew the bride and groom so no one took any notice!
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday x

LilyCat43 · 06/11/2016 09:14

Masweetpea1 · 06/11/2016 09:34

lazybutton · 06/11/2016 12:39

Afternoon ladies!

Saw this is Asda this morning, haven't tried it yet so might taste blinkin awful, but thought it might throw the inlaws off the scent when they stay next weekend!!

Hope there's still room at the back of the bus, as I'm not due to see my GP for another two weeks X
