I'm being sent home from work for almost fainting during handover. I've been sussed by one of the coordinators.. she asked and I tried to say no but she knew by my face. Sad I am hoping she keeps quiet!

Eeek flashing! Hope you're feeling ok now. I seem to feel faint if I'm standing still for any length of time. It's almost caught me out a couple of times.

I felt really sick when I woke up but a cup of tea seems to have helped. I can't remember who mentioned it but lucozade sounds like a good idea!

I was at the back of the bus with DD too and was convinced I'd be last to pop but actually she came a bit early & lots of other people went overdue!

7+1?

DizzyNorthernBird · 05/11/2016 08:40

I had pizza last night too! Papa johns The Works with a side of jalapeño and chicken poppers Grin.

Really need to stop eating bread, it's making me so bloated and I usually avoid it like the plague. But this week has been baguette-tastic!

Ooooh thanks kitty! Will look at getting some in for Xmas!

I'm at the back of the bus too, I don't even see my GP until a week on Tuesday. Booking in and scans seem so far away!

One of my mates text me this week to let me know his wife is due their second in May. I was just itching to tell him that I won't be that far behind them! I'm sure this is what is making the time drag, the waiting to tell everyone. Hopefully once that milestone is reached the remaining trimesters will fly by!

Definitely the oranges missis Grin

MissisBee · 05/11/2016 09:31

Hope you're feeling better now tea
flashing take it easy today. Hope your coordinator keeps it under her hat.

Bacon and eggs went down a treat this morning, feeling better than I have done since Tuesday despite another random puke last night - I seem to feel nauseous all day long, get to bedtime and think I'm a bit better, then suddenly vomit with no warning

Morning everyone. Just woken up and threw up for first time in weeks... absolutely starving! Got hardly any food in the house so eating biscuits with a cuppa for now and will have to go out soon to get something. Would kill for some bacon and tomatoes.

MumofthreeandBean · 05/11/2016 09:56

I've been eating lots of bacon!
Tired today, shock!

I'm at the front of the bus but seems my first scan is later than a lot of yours! I hate living in the back of beyond sometimes! Nearest hospital to do scan is 3 hr round trip and it's a busy hospital with the only maternity unit for miles around.
Wish my scan was sooner ☹️️

Mommytobe2017 · 05/11/2016 11:48

I'll be 12 weeks around the end of Nov so my scan will probably be then.

Went into mothercare this morning. Nearly had a heart attack! £725 for a pram!! A PRAM!!

I think I'll be shopping at Argos...

I can't remember who here said there were looking at a joolz geo buggy!

I have one and I LOVE it!!! Well worth the money!

haveacupoftea · 05/11/2016 12:23

My scan is 18th November less than two weeks Grin sooo tempted to get an early one but having oil delivered today so need to pay for that Sad

FlashingLights · 05/11/2016 13:03

Thanks everyone - just chilling on the sofa and having a movie marathon with DS. I think I should be ok to be back at work tomorrow. I suffered with postural hypotension with DS, although it started much later in the pregnancy. I hope it isn't starting already.

babyand me after the Joolz! It looks gorgeous, I am trying to talk DP round - any particular selling points I can share with him? Smile

firefly23 · 05/11/2016 13:04

Blimey, 3rd thread already! I keep dipping in and out! I'm 9+2 today. Feel nauseous most of the time but grazing helps. Glad to hear others are doing ok too Smile

How are you ladies eating your eggs? They're apparently safe to have dippy yolks now according to recent articles but the NHS hasn't changed its advice yet. I really want a boiled egg but daren't! Confused

peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/11/2016 13:27

Runny eggs are fine, as long as they're lion stamped.

DizzyNorthernBird · 05/11/2016 13:38

I've been eating eggs with runny yolks after someone on here said they were OK. There's no better way to eat an egg is there?!

Just realised that my Jamie Oliver superfoods book has lots of healthy snack recipes and breakfast ideas. I'm thinking about trying the apricot ginger and cashew energy balls, which has the added bonus of ginger to stem nausea.

Also I'm going to make the deliciously Ella cinnamon nut granola to snack on with yoghurt and berries. I could easily put on about three stone as I just want to eat everything, so I'm determined to keep my snacking healthy if I can!

HazyHazyJeans · 05/11/2016 13:39

I had runny eggs earlier. As peace says, they're totally fine as long as they have the lion stamp Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 05/11/2016 13:40

I haven't even began to think about buggies just yet Confused, I wouldn't have a clue where to start! DP has two dc though from his previous relationship so I'm hoping he remembers what worked last time!

firefly23 · 05/11/2016 13:45

Yea I've heard that about the lion stamp but midwives aren't giving that advice yet. Though having said that, I've eaten them for years and have never been sick from one. You're right Dizzy - there's no other way to eat them! I hate scrambled or hard boiled eggs! There needs to be runny yolk! Smile

peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/11/2016 14:04

Genuinely, you can eat runny eggs. You could probably eat them raw if that floats your boat. The reason the NHS guidance hasn't been updated yet is that the FSA (Food Standards Authority) still recommend that imported eggs are cooked through, because they may not have been vaccinated like British (lion stamped) eggs have been. The FSA have said themselves that British eggs have been free of salmonella for at least five years since the vaccination programme began ~fifteen years ago.

Eat a runny fucking egg if you want one! The thought is making me heave right now, though Envy

Skee · 05/11/2016 14:25

Aww peace - properly taking one for the team there 😂 Thanks for the info!

Hazy I had to laugh when I heard about your pizza crunch for dinner - definitely a Scottish 'delicacy' 😂

Hope you're feeling better Flashing, hope you can have a relaxing afternoon.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok, I'm still riding the HMS Nausea and getting pretty fecking fed up with it.

Oh well, onwards and outwards I go 😂

Skee · 05/11/2016 14:26

Clearly my key message in that last post was 'Hope'

Seems flipping appropriate with how nauseous the majority of us are feeling 😂
