Hi ladies,

I had an awful day yesterday. In the morning I had to do a factory tour. Been trying to stay out of the factory in the morning as it's food so has all sorts of smells but had to go in yesterday. Didn't drink or eat enough then by lunchtime felt awful. Had the worst bloating ever. Shold have been at my knit night until 8 but had to leave early. Felt like I was going to burst, didn't eat much for tea and went to bed at 9. Today I have woke up hungry which doesn't make me feel great either.

The bloating seems to be better so hopefully that continues throughout the day. Any tips for dealing with bloating? I had to undo the button on my work trousers yesterday afternoon to get some relief! Lucky my t-shirt was long enough to cover and I was at my desk so they disn't fall down. .

How unglamorous do I feel right now?!?!?! Although one of the guys in the factory did tell me yesterday I was looking lovely and something was different but he couldn't put his finger on it. I was wearing the same work uniform as always with a hair net and white coat so maybe my "glow" is somewhere.

Sorry guys iv tried to read through but the nausea is stopping me I can't concentrate.

Has anyone taken b6 for nausea? I'm desperate at this stage

NappingRabbit · 04/11/2016 10:53

Sorry for those of you really suffering with nausea and sickness - I'm sure you are in fact feeling worse than many of us so don't hold back on moaning about it!

Had my scan this morning and it was all perfect. Saw the heartbeat, dated at around 8+4 so a couple of days ahead of where I thought I was. Very very relieved.

ymmv · 04/11/2016 11:20

I'm fed up of every medicine I look at the leaflet for being off limits. I stopped taking amitriptyline because the leaflet said not to but on further investigation it's probably fine. and then last night I made the mistake of looking at my beconase leaflet. Of course they're all going to say no as you don't run tests and trials on pregnant women.

anyway this site is useful www.medicinesinpregnancy.org Star

poppy Palpitations can be a sign of low iron levels - you'll have that checked at your booking so you will find out if that is the cause.

hazy Enjoy your Nando's pick me up! Sounds perfect - have a halloumi & mushroom wrap for me whilst your there Wink

napping Glad to hear the scan went well!

My nausea seems to have disappeared today and yesterday, just a very slight lump in my throat. Of course its left me worried! I can't wait to have my scan next week.

I can't stop eyeing up prams. My heart is set on the Joolz Geo Earth.. but the price!

MissisBee · 04/11/2016 11:54

Went to bed at 8.30 last night. Feeling quite transparent today but managing to snack. Dragged myself to tescos and wobbled round as quickly as I could, then I had to wait FOREVER at the till as the woman in front had a gazillion coupons.
Am now sitting on the sofa with lemon and ginger tea, listening to Alfie Boe and Michael Ball's new album and feeling distinctly better.

YMMV that website is handy. I decided I would stop taking regular antihistamines but would continue with beconase if I needed it.

ymmv · 04/11/2016 12:19

Oh MissisBee I've not thought of antihistamines! which I also take. I do not know what has happened to my cognition. Has anyone else turned ditzy? Ffs etc

Masweetpea1 · 04/11/2016 12:20

My nausea is back with a vengeance! Had to get out of bed this morning just to try and make it stop.
My 12 wk scan is on 22nd but i don't feel i can wait that long. This pain in my side is bad sometimes and it's worrying but the hospital didn't seem bothered at all. Ugh, if I could have a scan every day i would!!

Wow these threads move fast! Going to have a catch up with a cuppa in a bit.

Had an early scan today, they did it internally as couldn't see clear enough. All is good with baby but now I'm worrying after doing some silly googling that the ultrasound could harm the baby?

So now I am just as anxious as I was before I had the scan Confused

MissisBee · 04/11/2016 13:02

ymmv I think loratadine and piriton are the ones you can have if you need them

peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/11/2016 13:06

What on earth makes you think that an ultrasound will harm your baby, me9an?!

Hi all, I've been reading the thread and keeping up on it but feeling so rubbish lately, I've had no energy to do much more than survive. I've been sick sick sick. Unfortunately it is nothing new for me. I'm a horrid pregnant person it takes effort to smile and talk to people. With my previous 2 pregnancies I was sick for about 8 months of them ... so both similar and had one girl and one boy so no indication for me which way it'll go this time.

I went for my booking in appointment last week and the midwife tried a couple times to get blood taken and couldn't manage, just collapsed my veins leaving my arms black and blue. So I had to make a trip to the hospital to get them to try. They struggled but eventually managed to get what they needed. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. Then of course I worry that something isn't right as your body is supposed to have about 40% more blood volume when your pregnant or something so it really shouldn't have been that hard ... arrgh ... 2 1/2 weeks til scan.

Loving all the info on here ... though some is scary - i.e. these mysterious injections after birth! I want to save that info about piles just in case. Thanks guys.

Me9an · 04/11/2016 13:29

Peace I did some googling about it! I know I shouldn't have done as there are always horror stories out there. The lady that did my scan was so lovely and laid back I just need to stop over thinking it! I suffer from anxiety so tend to always fear the worst.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/11/2016 13:34

But why would something that harms unborn babies be routinely offered to all pregnant women in most of the world, let alone the country? Try and stay rational.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/11/2016 13:36

The "mysterious injections" are to prevent DVT in those susceptible. Not everyone has them. One example is those who have had a section and won't be as mobile afterwards. You can also decline them, if you want.

Sundaygal · 04/11/2016 13:53

Thanks for the info Peace. I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound flippant about them, I had just never heard of injections after giving birth before this thread.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/11/2016 14:01

You didn't sound flippant! I was concerned you thought they sounded ominous!

Sundaygal · 04/11/2016 14:10

Ahh, well then you thought right! I do think they sound ominous, though would rather know about the possibility of it now, then right after giving birth.

HazyHazyJeans · 04/11/2016 14:37

sunday last time the mws always struggled to get blood from me. Apparently I have tiny veins Hmm I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, it's just a pita!

Walkerbean16 · 04/11/2016 16:07

Eek :) just got home from work to find my scan appointment letter! 17/11 so by my calculations I should be exactly 12 weeks!

haveacupoftea · 04/11/2016 16:45

Oh jeekers I am so tired! So glad it's almost home time for the week. I can spend some time with DP at last..I have been collapsing in bed at 7.30 (or earlier!) every night after work this week Sad yawning as I type!

Hi ladies, and thank you for new thread. I also feel super exhausted.

BUT!

I found a smoothie recipe which really really helps my nausea- www.bostonteaparty.co.uk/blog/post.php?s=2016-01-04-recipe-make-our-super-blueberry-and-ginger-smoothie-at-home so I'm sharing it in case someone else finds it helpful as well.

Had an early scan on Monday as I was discharging some brown stuff during weekend, saw heart beat so much calmer now :)

Also want to kill my SIL who keeps being disappointed that I have no massive nausea yet. She kept telling me it's coming and now when it didn't come she genuinely seems disappointed. Lol. Anyone else dealing with weird family members as well?

Mommytobe2017 · 04/11/2016 17:21

Just got home. Happy weekend!!!

Watching Buble at the BBC Grin💟💟

I love him but shhh don't tell DP... Ahahaha
Best way to end the week.

Hope everyone will be starting to feel better soon.

I'm slightly concerned. Other than being sleepy which is normal for me, I've been feeling relatively normal the last 2 days.

I worry constantly about everything. I still
struggle to see how we can afford bean but everyone else seems to manage!

A student bumped into me today but it's ok, right? Bean is only small atm and there's lots around him/her?

VeganMama83 · 04/11/2016 17:32

Got home to 12 week scan letter too! Mine is 29th Nov when I will be 12+1.

Had to take the sickness bands off as would be a give away in front of my parents today and feeling extra rough so I do think the bands have been helping me!
