Max depending upon the time of your scan (i.e. If it's not first thing) then it would be worth calling your midwife bin the morning as I needed my notes at my scan - they wrote all the next few appointments on there and checked out some of the current notes.

If it is dirst thing then I am sure they have dealt with it before people not having notes so they will most likely have some sort of back up plan! Enjoy the scan xxx

WellieWanger · 20/11/2016 18:45

So i'm bleeding when I wipe...trying not to panic although I don't know what to do. We have been trying for a year so were just about to get our hospital appt and I have complications so this really was our miracle. Sorry to bring a downer. 9+ weeks

MumofthreeandBean · 20/11/2016 18:49

wellie try not to worry x others on here have had bleeding and were told only to worry if bright red and filling a pad - if it's when you wipe then chances are you are ok, but definately call your midwife for advice, or 111 if you do not have midwife number 😘

WellieWanger · 20/11/2016 18:54

Thank you. I have had a feeling of disbelief this whole time, that we couldn't be so lucky and that is would go wrong. Cramping til 7 weeks so I was given a scan and all was fine. But then I have been ill for a few days with what I thought was a tummy bug and yesterday had horrible cramps and now this today. Have put a pad on incase it was the start of something greater. Thank you, that's reassuring. DH is being a bit useless. Asked me if I am still going out tonight. Er...no. Have called 111 and waiting on Dr. Didn't even think to call midwife.

MumofthreeandBean · 20/11/2016 19:02

I would be the same x some men don't understand until they can see how pregnant you are, my hubby gives me no sympathy until I have a large bump - early pregnancy is so worrying and as you can't see or feel anything you feel pretty useless.

I hope all is ok x

WellieWanger · 20/11/2016 19:03

Thank you so much x

Catlady100 · 20/11/2016 19:23

Hi Wellie, try not to panic (I know that's easier said than done). I had exactly this last week and ended up going to a and e in a panic. They were excellent and scanned me and all was okay. They told me it's incredibly common especially around the time your second period would have been due. Cat x

LorrieJ · 20/11/2016 19:36

Well wishes Wellie. I hope the GP is useful.
There's loads of things that can cause bleeding at this stage (e.g. breakthrough bleeding at times when you'd expect your period if you weren't pregnant). Here's hoping it's one of them.

Do you have the contact details for the Early Pregnancy Unit at your hospital? This sort of thing is their bread and butter. If not, you should be able to find their number on their website. I bled frequently in my first pregnancy and a few times this. EPU were really helpful and I had an early scan at 7+2 on the back of it all.

In the meantime, you're doing the right thing to rest and wear a pad. Take care of yourself and try to relax (very hard, I know). L x

HazyHazyJeans · 20/11/2016 19:38

Try not to panic wellie hope everything's ok

max my mw kept my notes at booking in too. I asked her about it & she said I'll be given them at the 12w scan and then keep them going forward after that. Sounds like it'll be the same for you. Call in the morning if you're worried but I'm sure it's fine. Everywhere seems to do everything slightly differently - makes it very confusing!

Passmethecrisps · 20/11/2016 20:32

I am the same re notes. Apparently I will be given them after the scan.

I had spotting on weeks 6 and again on week 7. I completely lost my shit the first time and cried for hours. All I wanted to do was lie flat. So I did. I called EPU as soon as it started and got the advice that they are only concerned if it soaks a pad. They did say I was welcome to call back the next day for a chat if I needed. I had calmed down by then and had a telephone app with my GP anyway so I mentioned it to him. His advice was to call him immediately if I had any more or call 111. When it happened again on week 7 I was a lot more relaxed and just took myself off to bed early.

I hope your bleeding is nothing concerning wellie but I certainly know how you feel.

haveacupoftea · 20/11/2016 21:34

wellie it could be lots of things not necessarily mc but put yourself on bed rest just in case. Hope everythings ok. Very frustrating for this to happen on a Sunday evening when clinics are closed.

Purplefairy21 · 20/11/2016 21:42

Hope everything is ok and sending sticky vibes your way wellie

mrspage i cried at the Christmas m & S advert Blush and I cried because my strawberrys had gone mushy. Not sure what to make of that. Hmm
I had a really vivid dream that I'd lost the baby last night /this morning and I've not really managed to shake it off as just a bad dream. Im hoping it's just the way my anxieties are manifesting but I can't stop thinking about it and that there will be bad news at the scan. Im keeping everything crossed that it'll be fine.
Good luck to anyone who has scans tomorrow.
12+0 today.

VeganMama83 · 20/11/2016 22:05

purple the night before my scan I dreamt I had to go to a special hospital in Sheffield for my scan as BMI is too high Hmm I live in Northern Ireland! Anyway I missed my flight then and couldn't get my scan. Woke up all jittery. I am dreaming about the baby constantly but cant remember all the dreams.

Mooseville · 21/11/2016 06:48

Morning all. Hope things are ok wellie

We went looking at prams on Saturday and then on Saturday night I had the most vivid dreams about buying prams and the wheels constantly falling off!!! 😂

Scan tomorrow. Anyone today???? Looking forward to more photos!

KittyVonCatsington · 21/11/2016 06:57

Wellie-hope you managed some sleep last night. There is always hope-when pregnant with my DD, I bled bright red twice before my dating scan and everything was fine-it was a bless in the uterus but no where near the baby and they are quite common-us women usually absorb the bleeds back into our bodies and are none the wiser. Hoping this is you!

Mommytobe2017 · 21/11/2016 07:16

Morning everyone Smile

Hope everyone is ok.
I understand the worries.
I've felt almost human the last couple of days which worries me then I woke with horrendous cramping from wind... sorry tmi
Something must still be there.

Friday and Saturday I managed to stay awake till 12 Shock. Last night I fell asleep again...

A week till my scan! It had better go quick!

Good luck to everyone with scans today Smile Still over 3 weeks until mine!

After worrying that I didn't feel sick, I felt really ill yesterday morning so that's reassured me. Feel ok today so maybe I'm just getting lucky this time!

Hope you're ok wellie

Mummyh2016 · 21/11/2016 08:11

Such a relief to hear everyone's symptoms are wearing off. I've been sleeping better and had next to no nausea over the last few days. Actually text my DH 10 mins ago saying I'm scared something has happened. 2 weeks tomorrow until my scan. Went for a private scan 2 weeks ago and everything was fine.

MumofthreeandBean · 21/11/2016 08:19

Am I one of the few who havnt had an early scan?? It's my first dating scan tmw at 12.6 - feels I have waited an eternity!!! My bump is growing, nausea almost gone and appetite returned - hoping there's a lovely little bean in there tmw, I'm so nervous! Never was with the other 3!!i wonder if it's because I am active on this forum? Back when my dd was born the Internet was just starting up really and not everyone had a PC,tablet etc so much changed in 15/16 yrs!!!

lazybutton · 21/11/2016 08:44

Hope everything is ok this morning wellie.

mumofthree I've not had an early scan either. Although I'm right at the back of the bus as I don't have a dating scan booked either!

Hi all
Please can I join? I have been lurking for a while but had a lot of bleeding on Friday morning (11 weeks) & thought it was all over. Local EPU wouldn't see me until Tuesday(!) so had to book a private scan on Saturday. Expected the worst only to be told there are 2 heartbeats....! Never in a million years did I think that would be the case. Oh & did I mention I have a 22 month old?! ShockShockShock I have NO idea how I'm going to cope, I find one hard enough!! Not to mention new car, & we've literally just moved into a new (smallish 3 bed) house. Oh & this pregnancy was a complete accident (the withdrawal method does NOT work ladies!) so I've only just come to terms with being pregnant again at all! That said we do feel incredibly lucky & do hope everything progresses ok.
It's been lovely reading your stories & wellies I hope this provides a bit of comfort as my bleeding was similar to a period

lazybutton · 21/11/2016 08:52
