Lots of wonderful scan photo haveacupoftea and Dragon-hello babies!!!
All is right with the world, when I see those wonderful photos of our future June babies Grin

Toothache is awful purplefairy-poor you!

HazyHazyJeans · 18/11/2016 22:17

Thanks tea and mommy Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/11/2016 04:34

Ugh. Wide awake and I'm up for work at 6am.

hazy, what little symptoms I had seem to have subsided too. I just have sore boobs but they've barely changed size. Tiredness seems to have settle down too but I do still get very hungry. But then I wonder if it's all in my head!

Just a question, GP gave me a pot so I could give the midwife a urine sample. Can this be from any time of day? The appointment is after work so is it ok to just take the sample when I get home? It'll be very dilute by then!

Myfirstbornisacollie · 19/11/2016 08:00

Dizzy a fresh sample any time of the day is fine

Vegan I've messaged you about joining FB group Smile

12 weeks today!

MumofthreeandBean · 19/11/2016 08:13

Woken with a headache 😞
My symptoms have pretty much gone too, but I am hungry a lot, I don't mind that as I barely ate for the first 8/10weeks!
My bump is very noticeable, seems bigger everyday, finding it hard to hide from people as you can see it even behind my coat!!! Will get scan over and just let people know as and when, most family know now anyway.
What is everyone doing about a winter coat?? I'm going to need one soon as I can barely do up my zip!

Lovely scans! Smile

You're right oliversmummy, I just can't count! Three weeks on Tuesday! I'm also really nervous all will be okay. I've hardly had any symptoms, no real nausea, not too bloated the whole time.

I got my bloods done yesterday. Does anyone know how long to hear about that?

Decided to tell brother as parents have said they won't be able to keep secret after a few drinks! Ah well, sure he'll be supportive whatever happens.

I'm wearing a cape!
In fact I live in my cape. It hides everything.

I also have an old jacket from before I lost some weight and that's still just big enough to do up.

I am not too sure I will manage a whole winter without buying a new one but going to give it a go

MumofthreeandBean · 19/11/2016 09:21

difficultyear not sure a cape would suit me,but great idea.
I'm thinking if I buy a coat now at least I will get my money's worth, then pass or sell it on after.
Not sure where to look

Difficultyear2015 · 19/11/2016 09:42

Seraphine has some I liked the look of but they didn't seem cheap

Passmethecrisps · 19/11/2016 10:11

Hello ladies. After lurking for a while I am going to introduce myself.

I am 8+6 weeks with dc2. All a bit of a surprise really as while we were 'trying' we were't really and it seems a bit lucky if that makes sense?

I have been really queasy from about 3pm onwards every day although never actually sick. The exhaustion is crippling as well. Driving home from work is pretty brutal as I seem to have developed some motion sickness Envy

We have told both sets of parents, close friends and I have told one colleague as frankly I need a bit of back up. I figure if you would share the bad news if it happens then I am happy sharing the good.

I had a bit of spotting at week 6 and again at week 7. The first time really shocked me and I cried for ages. Second time I was more relaxed. I must admit to being more anxious about my scan than I was last time. It is booked for the 15th December so until then I am living by the mantra "today I am pregnant"

I had put on a bit of weight anyway so there is very little space left in any of my clothes. I am dead keen to get into my mat clothes but am holding off for now. I may need a jacket though. I did see newlook had one which was pretty cheap so I might go for that. It doesn't need to last.

Sorry - that was terribly long. Just trying to catch up on the recent chat.

MundayCakes85 · 19/11/2016 11:27

Hello to all the new passengers, "today I am pregnant" is a great mantra!
I've bought myself a puffy parka jacket from New Look maternity, cost about £35 and nice and roomy. Will definitely last the winter.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 19/11/2016 11:38

I've got that trousers too tight feeling by the afternoon. Put a hair band on my trouser button yesterday as I expand through the day!
Ordered some yoga pants and jeggings up a size to keep me going for a while my maternity bits are massive.
Got a parka that fit baby in sling under so hopefully that will last the winter

MoonlightMojitos · 19/11/2016 12:16

Hey ladies, I had a proper freak out last night that it'd all gone wrong so in a moment of madness booked another private scan for this morning, thankfully everything is fine! My edd has moved forward 8 days though!!!! So now 31/5 but I'm still sticking around here rather than the last day of the May thread! Anterior placenta which is a bit of a shame as it makes movements much less noticeable until later on doesn't it. Everything is perfect with baby though! Guess we might as well tell people now as we wouldn't have waited for screening results anyway so would be telling next week after nhs dating scan?!! I'm not sure if I'm ready to burst our little bubble and let the world know yet though, anyone else feel like that? I had been so excited to share the news but actually now I'm not so sure.

catlady I had my booking bloods 3 weeks ago and never heard back, I think you only do if anything is wrong.

Welcome crisps and congrats! your name is how I feel all the time haha could eat crisps all day long.

Passmethecrisps · 19/11/2016 12:20

Lovely pic moonlight. Glad it went well.

I remember with dd that it took ages to get used to talking openly about the pregnancy. I talked in hushed tones for a long time. This time o just want the scan over so I can share the news

Passmethecrisps · 19/11/2016 12:21

Me too! If it isn't salty and carby then I don't want to know!

flossie79 · 19/11/2016 13:11

My GP did say I would hear between 9-10 weeks so I guess I am just being impatient, especially seeing people who have already had scans, etc. Just anxious to know everything is alright and I am not imagining the whole thing!

MundayCakes85 · 19/11/2016 14:05

We'be told family so far, but still don't want to discuss it too much in case I jinx it Hmm

MoonlightMojitos · 19/11/2016 14:47

Anyone else got dry nipples or is that really odd?!! I always get dry skin in the winter, my hands get so bad they crack and can bleed from being so dry but I've never noticed it on my nipples before! Today they are a bit flaky.... I've been moisturising them (well my whole boobs and tummy, not just my nipples lol).

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/11/2016 19:55

Thanks collie!

Welcome crisps!

moonlight great pic, but what is anterior placenta?

I've also got very dry cracked hands but that's the norm for me too at this time of year. I looked like I had some sort of hand pox last night they were so blotchy!

flossie you aren't alone but I'm sure once your midwife gets in touch things will start moving very quickly.

I'm not bothering with a new winter jacket , I've got a super dry riding style jacket which fastens down to the ribs area so numb can protrude through the open lower portion. Then I've got a parka which I rarely wear buttoned up anyway. Plus there's my trusty blanket throw from last winter for springtime chills!

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/11/2016 19:57

Typos! superdry, bump, *blanket shawl!

MissisBee · 19/11/2016 20:02

Loving all the lovely pictures. Nearly 2 weeks to mine. If all is well I'll be telling everyone as soon as it's done, can hardly keep it to myself as it is.
I've had a busy week so went to bed early last night and slept nearly 11 hours. Don't think I've EVER slept that long. This afternoon was traipsing about the woods with my Guide unit. Was a lovely crisp day and managed to work up enough appetite to eat a proper dinner for the first time in weeks!

MoonlightMojitos · 19/11/2016 20:12

dizzy Google probably already explained but just means it's on the front wall (instead of behind or side or whatever) so it's like a big cushion between baby and my stomach. Not a problem at all just means you feel movement later on than others will and not as strongly etc as baby will be kicking placenta instead of your tummy!

MumofthreeandBean · 19/11/2016 20:37

moonlight I did notice how dry mine are too, in fact dh ordered me some cream as I'm dry all over!

Feeling a bit sicky this evening.
Have spent the last few days gagging/retching trying to be sick, mainly after coughing but I don't seem able to move quickly at the moment, I feel exhausted 😩

haveacupoftea · 19/11/2016 21:53

Fab detail in that pic mojito, I have a theory about what youre having but wont say in case youre not finding out!

My nipples are a tiny bit flaky but i think its just stuff thats leaked out and dried on them.

My boobs are too big to get coats closed round them anyway so i'll keep my current coats and wear them open with a scarf Smile

flossie youre not imagining it..we all have that fear! You'll be fine!
